PoliticsRemember When APC Mocked Rufai Oseni For Asking Umahi, Cost/km. Olodo Uprising by VaselineCrew(op): 5:45am On Jun 30
I still remember when legendhero and other APC Olos were mocking Oseni for asking Umahi the cost per km of the coastal road project.

Cost per kilometer is a World standard in Road construction, used in ever single project from bidding to execution, by every single engineering company in the world.

Even the World bank specifies road cost in cost per km to allow for cost comparison.

APC really damaged Nigeria.

Lagos roads are death traps men.

If you’ve driven in another country before then drive in Lagos, you could lose your mind!!

How can there be life ending holes on almost every street?
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by VaselineCrew: 2:52pm On Jun 28
Sometimes I think k about this guy and his car!

May God help him get back on track men!!

Some riders will even be encouraging you to enter flooded streets all for N2,000.

However, no rider will contribute N800,000 to buy you a new engine. Heck I don’t even want a new engine, I like mine as is!

They will just tell you, “kpele” and enter their house.

Indrive will take about N1500 from the 8k you were to pay. His take home would have been about 6k. FFS 6k for driving 26km from VI to a traffic riddled Addo road? This hustle is the biggest modern day slavery in Nigeria at the moment . Even if you are on CNG, does 6k take home amount to labour and time? If the car was yours, would you pay someone 8k to drive you from VI to Addo in your own car and fuel?

There's no explaining why he bolted with your money. The fair deal for this trip is 15 - 20k in the prevailing economic situation. Maybe you should negotiate with him to return 60k to you. He may listen to that offer. Otherwise, just take it as karma.
Not condoning any stealing, but na real Modern day slavery bro!!

You haven’t even taken out the Petrol from the amount.

At the end, driver might go home with 2k from that trip with possible car damage from entering potholes and gutters he can’t see in a flood.

Something has to give men!!

I try to save/invest every single naira I get from this hustle, but sometimes, as a driver I’d be close to tears.

These apps treat African drivers like worms, like poo in the mud!!

They don’t even charge small cancellation fee, like N500.

A driver will drive 4km to pick someone, then the person would be free to just cancel like that? No one cares about the fuel and time burnt!! Rider will just order another SLAVE!

God!!!!

REGARDLESS SHA, ONE SHOULD NEVER STEAL SOMEONES MONEY!!!!!

You don't break rules but you concluded everyone promotes anyhowness in Nigeria?

What makes you think you are the only different person?

And if you say everyone does, doesn't that include you?
Just a figure of speech

However, just look at the society bro! It’s evident in almost all areas of driving, how a majority is disorderly.

Obviously, there are few that follow driving rules and courtesy, but it’s like a select few.

Some might not be even realize they are being undisciplined. Some bus driver that stops on the road, might not even realize how he is causing pain to so many cars behind him that starts a chain reaction of slow traffic

Got a pickup at Palms mall Oniru

I get there, park at the drop off area, just 5 steps before the main entrance that pedestrians walk through.

Lady did not agree to walk those 5 steps, telling me to drive forward and block that entrance to pick her.

Not a metaphor, I’m talking about LITERALLY 5 steps. I am talking, if she stretches flat, she could touch my car bumper. I’m talking 1,2,3,4,5 steps.

Na so the lady cancel oo.

Thank God I got another ride. My God hasn’t failed me yet.

The wickedness and entitled mentality of some of these passengers ehn!

Before getting another ride, I saw her request again when I had left, and I was like:

So you rather stand there for 20 mins than take 5 steps towards my car?

Some of these people want to make you feel small, don’t let them.

Not saying to be proud, but please, dont let strangers treat you like dirt cause they “ordered” for a ride

Omo, I have a funny story from yesterday

So I get to the pickup, lady enters the car, already with an attitude and asks what is the name of the person you came to pick

I told her, I can't tell her that, cause someone could just say "Yes, that's me"

So I told her my name, and politely asked her for her name.

That's it oo, she just started shouting, "I don't have time for this rubbish, or should I come down? Lets be going abeg"

I asked again, sorry I can't leave until you tell me your name

She goes again, "Should I cancel or what?"

I just told her to please cancel, then she called me "Devil Man" and slammed my door, chai embarassed

Why would I want to take a ride with a hysterical person that can't even tell me her name?

All other riders nowadays will just simply say their name and trip starts.

Na wa

Immediately after that, I got a ride from a nice father and his sons with a smooth experience and it made me ponder on that lady, like... I'm still trying to figure out why instead of stating your name, you start throwing a tantrum before the ride even starts and you expect your driver to be comfortable with such attitude?

He can never respond, cause he knows he can't log in to admin side of Inec site, but he will continue to support the evil against Nigerians

Isn't it strange how for almost a decade, that guy has supported every wickedness towards Nigerians? Even Nigerian children?

How wicked does one have to be? Like for a decade you have constantly been on the side of making sure nothing works in Nigeria.
PoliticsHow Did Lere Olayinka Get Access To INEC ADMIN Backend? How? by VaselineCrew(op): 11:24am On May 31
There is no evil some Nigerians here would not support.

Some were saying voters card is not private, but the issue is how did Lere get access to that backend?

Can you Nairaland commenters get access to the backend of Nairaland?

No you can't! We only comment on the front end of Nairaland, cause if random people had access, they could change anything they wanted, from deleting users, to allocating likes, to changing the style of this site.

YET, some were making excuses for Lere having access to INEC! As in, INEC!

These guys are so brazen with their corruption, like when Ganduje had 3 different stealing videos on YOUTUBE, but they still made him CHAIRMAN

WIKE will use public funds to buy one of the most expensive cars in the world in one of the poorest countries in the world (Rolls Royce)

Now Lere is showing us access to admin.inec...

Every Nigerian should be angry, should be protesting against these guys whether internally or externally

Have you ever seen a country were a gov official has access to the backend of their national voting site?

Bolt without their campaigns sometimes is such a struggle.

I feel those campaigns are even our money sef - Like 9 rides for 9k - I feel that's part of the high commission we pay to Bolt that they decide to give back a few times a month, with high requirements. I still remember the one of 11k for 13 rides. I been wan faint that day.

Without those campaigns, it's a struggle for me on the island with all these N2k trips. I even saw one today for N1.8k, I was shocked. Though it was a short trip, but still man, chai.

Bought 18k fuel today and could barely gross 36k

Bought 12k fuel yesterday and in trying to gross 24k, my fuel finished, lol. Though I did run some personal errands, but still. Thank God i was near a filling station when the car shut down.

No surge recently on the island, what gives? Guess too many cars here, awon lagride, bolt, uber, cabzero...

Sometimes you get generous tippers that make your day worth it. Like this Angel guy that paid 15k to wait for a little bit. Excellent income while car is shutdown and petrol consumption is zero.

With no tipping, no campaigns, meeen!

Bolt needs to increase prices slightly men and drop their commission.

But it seems they will never, ever, ever drop that commission.

I was just looking at my monthly statement on Bolt and noticing how much I pay in commission. Like you'd see 300k and I know fuel would probably have been like 150k, so net for me would be like 150k, yet YOU'D SEE LIKE 80K BOLT COMMISSION, CHAI.

I feel like a slave sometimes, so I get 150k with all the suffering and they get 80k for doing almost nothinghuh WTF?

I want this car.

Chevy BOLT men

Even a 2017 model still has maaaad range (231 miles / 371 km).

The gains would be insane.

BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by VaselineCrew: 4:17pm On Apr 19
Looking at prices of used evs in USA. Not bad, but most have poor range due to battery degradation. AI says some might last only about 3.5 more years before you need to replace the battery ($2,000 - $6000)

Wondering if a cheap used 55 miles Nissan leaf would do the job, at least within the city.

Tired of trying to make 100% of fuel bought and watching the gauge non stop.

PoliticsSome Nigerians Rejected PHD And MIT Grads For Destruction From Herders N Forgers by VaselineCrew(op): 6:15am On Apr 18
They rejected GEJ with PHD, when dollar was $1= N180, fuel was N100 and Nigeria was becoming the top economy in Africa

When you tell them about GRV that went to MIT, they belittle MIT and call him "Chinedu", not minding that most of the technology they have now can be credited to MIT research.

So in 2015, Nigeria said, instead of a PHD guy, lets have a cow herder.

Gosh, some of you are "special"
