Please can anyone help me with the pros and cons of a lecturing job and does the location of the university also matter, I’m confused on taking a lecturing job I need your advice please, I have a Master’s degree and planning on doing my PhD not because I like to lecture but because I like to study and lecturing job seems more secure in this country for now.

Only you can take the best decision, people can only advise.
Lecturing Job is a good job for those that like reading and improving themselves and from your explanation you fit into that specification. In Lecturing there is something called
publish or perish ( Constant studying is needed)

As regards there pay(salary) some people see it as peanut but to others it's okay.

As regards location, it's dependent on you.
The word location is ambiguous.

Finally Lecturing in Nigeria has it sweetness and bitterness, so you must make sure you have a passion for it, if not you will always have reasons to quit and with the introduction of the controversial IPPIS system and others.

You can seek an audience with your supervisor (Msc) and let him share his experience with you.

Since you are running an Msc program that a good thing
If you have interest in Lecturing, start getting closer to some of your lecturers (so that u can know if there is any opportunity or sometimes they might recommend some you to other institute).
Also you can leverage on this your "First class"
information is power.
You can also reach out to some of these NGOs(locally or international) that is if your master is in MPH so as to gather some experience.

1. what the difference between both Direct Short Service
Commission (DSSC) and Short Service Combatant
(SSC).

2.my course of study is under Nigerian Army Ordnance Corps
pls what is expected of me(roles and responsibilities) and will I also be drafted to the fronts?

3. Finally I can't seen the option for sign up in the link provided for the registration the only thing available there is login and sometimes the portal will also display currently not available ( the problem is from us)

They are not recruiting. The advert placement on massive recruitment you saw on the social media is a SCAM.
They did some replacements by february this year where 28 people were offered letters of employment nationwide.
Another set of replacement will commence soon because some directors are on the verge of retirement before the ending of the year.
