As I said stop fooling yourself.
Go learn ecommics ....Average wealth of a nation is based on GDP ppp per capital not GDP .or PPP size .. You are the type of idiots that made them insult Nigeria education system

Even in the GDP per capital ( imf/ world bank ) placed Ghana ahead of Nigeria But it is simply window dressing . both nation are poor and two must consolidate a strong economy force to uplift their citizens out of poverty. .

From what you sent to me .... Check the GDP per capital

What a load of hogwash. Stop fooling yourself. Ghana as well as many other West African countries require the purchasing power of Nigerians.

Otherwise, Ghana can simply direct it's manufactured and imported goods to the other 150million consumers in the rest of ECOWAS.

We both know that is not possible because the purchasing power of those other countries pale in comparison to Nigeria. Again stop fooling yourself.
You are the one fooling yourself..... Nigeria has the third highest purchasing power per capital in ecowas state , follow closely behind Ghana and cape Verde. and you stupidly think Nigeria can grow without considering this comparable neighbours?

There is a reason Nigeria investors are flying over benin republic and togo to established in Ghana, it is about the purchasing power of this country .. Ghana is smarter than you lots, the reasons is pushing and championing africa regional trade, she knows she can't developed with its poor 350 million neighbour and need to annexed with other giant neighbour from the same continent.

350 million people with a purchasing power per capital that is below 8000 dollars is poverty. and it is better Nigeria understand its fake temporal policy

*Nigeria makes up about 74% of ECOWAS population and about 71% of its economy. It is ECOWAS that needs Nigeria and not the other way round!*

ANY RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MEMBER COUNTRIES MUST BE BASED ON EXTANT REGULATIONS!
wherever you formulate your figure? Ecowas without Nigeria will roughly stood at 150 million, so if Nigeria population is added to it that will give us 350 million . And you said the populatuon of 200 million does not need 150 million populations?

what logic is that? if Nigeria successfully revamp its local manufacturing sector , will it consume all its product all alone? the truth is, ecowas need each other because there is nothing special between Nigeria as a state and the rest. no ecowas state is worth over 8 thousand dollar in purchasing power per capital......country with the highest is cape Verde and it is just a little more than Ghana. this is the reason south Africa will see ecowas as a stepping stones and indirectly control our economy ... no single bank in ecowas state is as rich as MTN ....and you are telling me Nigeria is in anyway better.... the whole total capitalization of Nigeria banks both home and abroad is not in anyway up to capitech bank in South Africa.. .. and you call Nigeria with its poor giant population a nation that can sustained on its own.

can any Nigeria bank borrowed Nigeria goverment 40 billion dollars? * which is projected as what Nigeria need annually to fasten development). if Nigeria must get such amount, she will have to tapped into external market which has a very high interest.

if Nigeria leader must take a protective measure , it must be together with ecowas state. without that, Nigeria can't develop with its 200 million population ( It is just big but poor).... I further says , it shouldn't just be ecowas , it should be africa .......

Simply not true if we view economic realities on the ground which is that Nigeria's benevolent attitude and commitment to local trade has seen us lose more than we gain trading with nations like Ghana. You need to show me what Ghana supply us that we will be crippled without and then explain how , as one example, a disruption in the natural gas we supply them would not have an immediately detrimental and costly effect on their economy.

Ghana Gas owes Nigeria $160m
It is obvious news that Ghana now owns oil and gas and has build its own Gas plant ( atuabo gas plant) and it is obvious Ghana demand for Nigeria oil is shrinking and dwindling.

no current news suggest Ghana is still owing Nigeria any cent in 2019....

but if you must measure dick as I think you happy doing it.? now capitalized Nigeria investment in Ghana and tell me the market value and compare it to 160 million. (Glo Ghana recently faulted its cooperate tax) but she was pardon.

And I hope you know this buisness remit tax to Nigeria goverment....

But the Ghanaians here are saying we need them more they need us.
Simple logics says both nation needs each other. they have exchange commodity between each other for the past fifty years... Nigerians has a market of 200 million , Ghana on the hand has 30 million . something tells here , if the later must become fully industrialized, then she must have the former in minds because of the market....

Ghana too on the hand is preferable to Nigeria second ties city like ibadan or kano( Nigeria investors are willing to invest in Accra( A CITY less than four million) moderate market than having a chain of shops in kano or ibadan. and this 18 to 5 million respectively

Ghanaian leaders are known to talk diplomatically but actions is on the pipeline.

It could work we can have hope and it is possible Nigeria is slowly starting to gain trust with their products the EU is considering lifting the ban on Nigerian beans and yam we don't necessarily need you for transit I am proposing merging building factories in both countries having the companies make up most sales in both countries than expand to the rest of Africa
Consideration is diffrent from agreement. As it currently stands, Ghana export more agriculture commodity than Any west africa state and the reality is, The product in Ghana are perceived on higher quality .secondly, Nigeria harbour system is one of the most poorest in terms of infrastructure and planning( When it comes to digitization of port, Ghana has roll out and compliment all tedious paper work. They are now digitized. something that will takes lots of planning to work in Nigeria. Ghana is pushing ahead for first African state to first achieved a fully digitized economy. it has perfected it in sea port, air port, house numbering, education and some other crucial agency.....

Nigeria can't single handedly gain international trust without putting her neighbour in plan, obasonjo understand this when he took power from abdusalam .... Abaccha had already polluted Nigeria system that no serious nation is willing to put its trust on Nigeria.... So Ghana had to become Nigeria closer friend , they both attend international metting together where Ghana had to voice for Nigeria on many stands on the international podium...

Ghana still remain a better transit for Nigeria product abroad ......

That is why we need the Eco currency it will help trade between Ghana and Nigeria so much if Nigeria and Ghana shared a border the amount of trade and money and industries that would grow would be so surprising

I've been thinking why don't Kantanka and Innoson merge they would become one of the largest car companies in the world after a few years they are already the top two largest car companies in Africa

We would be producing everything for Africans public transport buy from us, garbage disposal easy, ambulance done, fire trucks anything car they will have it, would be so beneficial to both our economies.
first of all , eco currency will not work, Nigeria goverment will frustrate the plan, Nigerians leader are very conservative ( Short sighted )And this is the not the first stands of Nigeria , it has been there since 60s when balewa thinks inkrumah is priding himself like messiah of Africa ....

Ghana presidency is suggesting the idea can be floated without Nigeria ( let's see if that will work) ...

You brought in fantastic idealogy.... merging of kantaka and innnoson can fastrack development rather than single handedly piloting it .... Ghana is currently enjoying the international recognition of a peaceful and well balanced democrcy that is even envy by other country, Nigeria has bigger GDP with over 200 million population... that will be impressive. Ghana can be a good transit hub for innnoson as Ghana products are crurrently acceptable than Nigeria product. for example , A Nigeria buisness man will like smuggled his yam to Ghana for exportation rather exporting it frorm nigeria because of perceived Ghana value.

Nigerian rice has been going down in price ever since the border closed next week it is expected to become 10 000N from the current 16 000N, just 10 000N for 50kg for 25kg is 5 000N and your telling me that is expensive that is like 5-8 dollars

Plus the economies of Niger and Benin are suffering not Nigeria's nothing whatsoever is happening to Nigeria as a side effect if the border closure other than we have increased output of local agricultural produce

And buhari said about the AFCTA I signed a free trade agreement not a free smuggling agreement the air and sea borders are open what is happening is countries like Thailand go to be in Port because it is cheaper than they smuggle it through to the Nigerian markets they are avoiding the taxes and duties at our ports.

Plus no Ghanaian can even speak alomo bitters lost over 2 million dollars because of the border closure it is affecting your kinsmen more than it is affecting ours please we are the poverty capital of the world let us enjoy our poverty in please

Also Ghanaians calm down with all this inflation, currency bla bla next year we may have the exact same currency the Eco just wait for us to quickly get our inflation down then by may 2020 maybe we will have the same currency so no more arguments anymore.
Kaseperoko is a multi million company, i actually don't think the two million dollar lost is any of a big deal, they already have market in place to consolidate it( it is the constants lost that maybe unbearable). the company manager already identify cote devoire , Senegal and benin as the new market where they hope to cover the Nigeria lost.

Ghana and Nigeria. goverment have reach a compromised and it is expected to be fruitful in the next two weeks....

Honestly business people look at Nigeria - and it's very alluring - 200m people - but the leadership is corrupt & stupid ( a deadly combination), the business environment very tough, infrastructure completely broken down and those people very poor. You have better prospect if you focus on doing business with Ivory Coast for example.

You should only go to Nigeria if you're interested in oil & gas industry. Otherwise chance of coming out without your shirt is very high.
Honestly that will have been the best option if the purchasing power of other state in the ecowas sub region is comparable or has a little bigger population.... but unfortunate, Nigeria is the only nation in that category, it has comparable purchasing power and a bigger population size to consolidate it....

Ghana is building its infrastructure, the demand for Nigeria oil might stop very soon than predicted . Ghana already have the oil to fuel its citizens but not enough infrastructure to deploy it. Taxis cars in Ghana uses gas, even gas are used to fried road side beans cake or smoked out animal hairs in abattoir ... therefore Ghana demand for it is just abnormal....

well, There are some technocrat in Ghana who is thinking of value chain product whose market is not limited to size but by value ( for example exporting to Switzerland 9 million population will be better than exporting to Nigeria 200 million population cus the former understand luxury and can pay for it while the later is just big but poor but Ghana must be able to add value to its product before it can get that.... that is a whole lot of works....

Ghana currency depreciation is structural not based on weak micro/ macro economic performance. Ghana is highly dollarised( the demand and taste for dollar is extremely high) and Ghana being a lower middle income country suggest that his dependence on aid will be limited ( This all contribute to the continual cedi depreciation) though goverment. have plan to arrest it, there is about 9.4 billion dollar on Ghana forex reserve to stabilized the currency and the cash is expected to jump into 10 billion and more dollar before November...
