Austine1212:Sometimes this growth rate does not really make a difference. seychelles does not grow above 3 percent for the past three year, yet it is more advanced than many nation growing with 8 percent. development is about general well being of the populace just because money is not exchanging hands does not mean the country is doing poorly. GDP takes the breakdown of the huge economic activity and portrays it as economic gain, forgetting the policy, social intervention, human development as a whole. if you understand the capacity of what human resources entails, then you will understand why Nigeria can't be judge by oil alone .though its agriculture and mining industry are still much alive . |
gallivant:Get your mom nickname again lol |
Austine1212:it only takes a single person to spread the virus. so it doesn't matter about the size of visitor . the implication here does not even favour the developing nation. in a situation like ours, where most of business activity revolve meeting one and another, the likelihood of having a spread infection become more obvious than advance nation cus most of their business activity can be conducted within the comfort of their home. for example online learning is much more advance up in advance nation than here, buying thru visual market, online office etc.... |
gallivant:then provide it here zombie . |
Austine1212:it isn't a matter of the number of visitor received, it is about stricter measured put in place when the first case was first discover. Ghana for example started reacting just three days after the first reported case. it took USA about two month before it pass any stricter measure. even Italy admit , their first reported case was taken slightly .and that balloon their problem. Do you know Ghana tested case for the first one month of the virus supersede both Japan, USA, and United kingdom together . we have almost tested 70 thousands case in one month while those advance nation had not in their past six weeks of their first reported case. |
Austine1212:Yes , this is factual truth but it is not going to be bad as what Kenya will face in the midst of locusts invested and covid 19 damage economy. Kenya two most vital economy is seriously hit .' Agriculture and tourism"" |
rvp20182:Do you stupidly have any evidence Ghana is owing Nigeria 1 billion dollar worth of LNG money? or you just want to sound foolish as usual now, let me tell you , your agriculture( Your largest stream of revenue) industry is already suffering, just because of this lockdowns, there are tougher restrictions imposed by the importing countries, making exporting a very difficult task if not impossible. no country is currently requesting for your flower and tea. just like how China fish had stopped flourishing Kenya market. due to is strict restriction. your second stream of income revenue is already suffering , I mean tourism. you can't compare yourself with Ghana that has suddenly see surge increasment in the price of cocoa and Gold. |
Austine1212:I can boldly say , Ghana react better than USA and United kingdom on this covid 19 issue. |
sunnyanet:Ghana is not only leading in per capita testing, it is ranked among the top 20 countries in the world testing for coronavirs in terms of per capita and second only to africa in terms of abosute number What it simply means is that, Ghana is one of the leading countries in the world embarking on massive testing for COVID-19 as far as country's population and rate of testing is concerned.and they can easily calculate the extent to when the lockdown when will last. in fact , Ghana has taken more decisive and swifter action than many developed countries in the world did within a month of confirmed cases. For instance, while it took the United States nearly two months after its first confirmed case to declare a national emergency, the government of Ghana banned all public gathering in Ghana just four days after the confirmation of case. Ghana's nearly 70,000 tests within a month of its first confirmed case is higher than tests conducted by the United States, Japan and the United Kingdom within six weeks of their first official case. |
Area4Area:Very stupid of you .Give me any news linked to Nigeria goverment official saying that. |
Area4Area:what do you understand about regional trade? Don't quote me foolishly again when it is about poor understanding of basic economics . You think trade is managed simply by emotions? |
chrisagyei:The problem is, nobody knows him, Nigeria goverment dosnt recognised him neither is he known by Ghanaian authority. he is more or less a nuisance to Nigeria and a liability to Ghana. Ghana is not interested in petty Nigerians trader, who contribute nothing at all to the economy. Nigerians coming to Ghana should be productive enough to contribute much to the economy. Ghana is not Eldorado yet for such living .Ghana immigration must strengthen the law now . |
AskiaHarem:It is time to live you with your chains.... |
AskiaHarem:You should foolishly do the searching on yourself, You this spamming bot, expecting me to do it, is more or less like staging your madness for you. |
AskiaHarem:No one take an idiot seriously. You are simply a simpleton at best or a slowpoke at worse. so expect me reminding you of that. |
AskiaHarem:Stop trying to hide the reality . And you aren't that important for me to dedicate a search time for ? You are simply an anonymous idiot. as far as i am concern, you never exist apart from been on nairaland. . I see you more or less like a virus or a preventable Trojan horse capable of frustrating nairaland cyber architecture. |
AskiaHarem:You are the grand idiot here, which make me ignore your comment sometimes. Aren't you a native of Somali anymore , you once labelled yourself a somalian not too long ago on this thread. |
I am surprised, no news on nairaland is reporting it. Nigerians shops are under locked in kumasi Ghana as I type. it happens today.. maybe a revenge I don't know but surely not from goverment |
samorobo:It wasn't just my saying but the consortium of Africa airport watch . so you argue with them |
samorobo:This is not a system breakdown but nature at work.... Anyway that is the fourth best airport in africa and the leading in west africa.. |
samorobo:It doesn't matter, either coaster or inland, rain can overwhelmed existing drainage infrastructure which will lead to the ground inability to absorb water. no One dare nature |
tylann:Even the most beautiful airport in Nigeria ( abuja) got flooded.. ..how much the city. |
mtisTheQubit:The fact remains is , it is africa. which country dosnt matter much.... |
samorobo:watch it on YouTube |
isthatso:You should be able to address the half education as you indicate. you don't make a submission simply becuse you want to correct what you presume as faulty opinion. hope i can engage you ? i hope you arent dump yourself |
isthatso:You mean I should be patriotic to illiteracy like you , you even called my input poor knolwedge when you can't foolishly rebuked it.... |
isthatso:You people mention China to defend the closure of the border as if China and Nigeria are having the same economic fundamental model or all economic principle are equal in both nation. China was never poorly industrialized like Nigeria, it has history that is over 1000 years old as an empire, only India and Persia has the same historical advantage. China alongside India was once the economy power house of the world and China again is on the track to repeat history again. When China closes his economy , over 52 billion dollar remittance of Chinese citizens working abroad are flowing in to the economy and this is was the cash used in developing the industrial sector of China. how much those Nigerians working abroad make? when/ where can Nigerians outsource money for his development without working and dealing with other country? |
pokuasi:I think your stupidity has no boundary and it is legendary. it seems you love me tormenting your miserable life. |
