When i was telling you guys about skyscraper every nigerians here was setting their own benchmark. Now it is like nairobi skyscraper is taking the trail and nigerias are finding it hard to argue.

It has to do with perception of light skin. This exists everywhere in Africa, even in North Africa. I heard the mixed race business inin Ghana was growing. I first encountered this like 3 years ago. Some Ghanians are paying top dollars to adopt mixed race babies because they believe they are more likely to be successful.

Believe it or not Nigeria has a fair number of people with light skin tones. Sure, a lot of the Fulanis are light skin from Northern Nigeria but I'm not even talking about them. A lot of Nigerians are naturally light skin especially from the South with higher concentrations in Cross river and Akwa Ibom. Although rare, some non-mixed Nigerians (100% African) have lightly colored eyes. I know it sounds unbelievable but there are some, although quite rare with hazel and green eyes. Nigeria is very genetically diverse. It has the highest twinning rate in the entire world for example. Scientists have found the rate of R1b gene at high frequencies among Chadic people of Nigeria and Northern Cameroon as well as in Western Europe. The Hausa in particular and other Chadic groups like Marghi share this genetic trait. Anyways this genetic trait isn't solely skin color based because the Hausa are mostly dark-skinned. I used this example to show the genetic diversity in Nigeria. There are also a large chunk of Nigerians with dark or medium dark skin tones. The 70%/77% is an obvious overestimation. if that was true, almost every Nigerian would be light skin. Also most Nigerians who actually bleach don't usually share it. Why? Because it's not the norm, you get shunned very easily. A lot of the western media/organizations like to peddle that 51% of Nigerians live in rural areas, yet at the same time say 77% of Nigerian women bleach. In the North, many people are very conservative that they cover their heads, why would they bleach when the consequences would be high?

Also, one last thing. The WHO report cited the survey back in 2013 and ever since a number of online articles have published the articles. It was the UN Environmental Programme (UNEP) which actually conducted the non-factual survey, and the document was later taken down and removed by the organization. The damage is already done anyways.

i acccept there is high taste for oyinbo child in ghana. You need to understand that it is largely becuse of social class. But nigerians too are not exempted. We both value and love white. Though i dont accept this veiw. The whiteman is been look upon for aids in africa when we ourselves has failed to do it. So this blame is not meant for ghana only. Majority of the black skin value whitemen more than their fellow blacks. In south africa . It is a prestige to the family of blacks to marry white.

it is not true. Ghana has a lot of biracial. Many lebanese and india are naturalized ghanians. Infact the consulate office is full with request letter. Many ghanian has adopted oyinbo child from their wves first marriage. The former minister of foreign affairs in ghana is biracial . Hannah tetteh. I agree with you there are lot of biracial in ghanian movie. But is not becuse of fair skin prefrence. It is just base on the role they play. There are still more natural blacks than them. Put in mind that the purpose of film industry is to make money.

first of all your country Nigeria is a failed nation. it can't even provide enough universities for its citizens so it decided to use jamb as a means of rendering some of its citizens useless for life. as a result, many Nigerians are scammers, robbers and traffickers

secondly, the few Nigerian parents who don't want their kids to end up in Indonesia and Indtia bring them to Ghana their Savior for quality education. our lecturers go through the hardwork of bringing them up as moral and respectful human beings.

when these people complete their schooling in Ghana they go back and are hailed as kings and queens because they value Ghanaian university certificate more than they value their.

the govt intentionally set up jamb to check balance the numbers of student that merit admission through waec becuse the goverment uni cant afford to accomodate the ballon population. During the last African women cup of nations, it was said that Nigerians in Cameroon number up to 4 million out of the 19 million population and most are in Douala doing business. Note that Cameroon is french speaking though some parts speak English. So if Nigerians can be so many (if that report is accurate) in a French country then why is Ghana( English speaking to the core) special?
