Larry was schooled and he became dumfounded.... His questions were too childish and his follow up questions were lame...

He became emotional at a point such that Sam George had to give him a punch line of not dealing in abstracts because he is a lawmaker and not a story teller.
most importantly, he was lectured on the bill which he "" Larry "" himself was not well versed about before engaging sam.

In all honest, it shows Larry was ill prepared for the questions he came to ask. That is poor journalism and unwelcoming of a reputable channel like CNN. Anyway kenya also get some bruises thru Larry . It a pitty

USA is the worst place to set as an example of a pillar for human rights today

In cases such as this , the human right in usa has proven to be efficient . Most of the abuse case always end up in favour of the human right advocate. Just study it .

videos does lie and it a proven fact. Editing and miniature nature of video suggest. According to the most reliable statista will have . Ghana has been ranked ahead of kenya . This infrastructure is not just about Accra or Nairobi alone . It is about the country in general.

I think you should overtake kenya first before you dream big.
Kenya has since 2014 risen from no 11 in Africa to no 6.
We are the cusp of Morroco - only 10B dollars difference - that is just one year of growth or two.
Algeria is the next at 150-180B dollars.
After that is South Africa.
Otherwise in Sub-Sahara Africa the list is Nigeria (cooked), South Africa and Kenya - and this is reflected in many indicators.
Nairobi will definitely overtake Joburg in less than a decade unless something catastrophic like a civil war happen.
It almost apparent - the Azanias have to run away from videos and pictures - and start talking statistics like Ghana.

GDP 2020 in Africa - as of last year
South Africa - 301.9 billion USD (2020)
Algeria 145.2 billion USD (2020)
Morroco 112.9 billion USD (2020)
Kenya 98.84 billion USD (2020) - rebased to 107B kshs (roughly 100B).

If you check medium projection - kenya will grow at 6- almost the 7 percent that mean GDP will double in a decade - while South Africa will be at 1 percent - less than population growth.
Data are better than videos. Number don't lie but video does.

They won't get anything on him and blocking a Ghanaian MP from travelling will only raise tensions with Ghana.. This is why Sam is very smart in not making the conversational about personal attacks but solely base on law ( customary, tradition and the Ghanaian constitution)..

He has done his homework very well to sponsor this bill
This got me thinking , there is this africa banjul charter that Ghana recently ratify .it is a matter of human right and the protection of the people regardless. How will this law sponsored by sam george not overruling it?

I agree, blocking him to access usa and the rest may signal tension. But I can categorically tell you, america has a solid human right that may really block sam george from entering the usa . It is possible .

How is it gibberish to ask you to admit you're wrong you claimed to know or to have read the whole odu ifa which is impossible, age does matter because I as a teenager should be more stubborn and you as an adult should be more honest with yourself the fact that you fail at your big age to admit when you're wrong is shameful and you trying to riddle it down to gibberish is hilarious

[s]And yes women to man sex is more beneficial it isn't a question there are many cons from gay sex like a leaky bum so of course it says the normal way is beneficial but it doesn't automatically mean that the gay one now becomes taboo or immoral nowhere does it say that when we read African history and religion we see it say don't do this and those who did this were banished or executed and what not so why os there no source that shows such for gay people in traditional African religions? All you're going off is the general homophobic views of African people born from colonial rule and western religious views and they've continued to roll with it since then there's no actual source or evidence showing it was taboo amongst most people and if someone bothered to do an in depth research on it they'd find majority of the stigma stems from western cultural and religious values[/s]

No beer parlor and no road side this guy Baba Yooba is very famous as a babalawo online and he recently acquired a massive plot of land to build a beffiting shrine for the practice of Ifa same way you have your massive cathedrals he plans on starting same in Nigeria and i've read a lot about his opinions and practices and you'll see that he is legit

And when I asked him what Ifa's views on homosexuality was he said nothing it doesn't condemn it, doesn't mention it and certainly doesn't praise it, it just allows to exist as normal and that is the same thing that we should be doing and not trying to makeit seem like it was taboo in the past when it clearly wasn't

I'm asking you to admit you were wrong is that so difficult? I'm 15 many years younger then you but if i'm wrong in an argument then i'm wrong and I can admit that why is it so diffuclt for you to admit that you don't know the whole odu ifa?

And I revised my statement of homosexuality being in the odu ifa accordingly with the conversations i've had with a babalawo who clearly told me that it has no stance doesn't condemn it, acknowledge it or praise it, he said that means it was there and they were allowed to do whatever and there was nothing against them doing said act whatsoever in any religious text

Since you asked me to provide evidence and i've admitted there's no evidence let's see if you can admit that there is no evidence of taboo against homosexuality in yoruba folklore or religion I bet you can't find any verse or story and if you do it's likely made up on the spot by you
you speak too many gibberish. Who cares if you are younger than me. Fact isn't about age , it is about evidence.

None of my write up has claim there exist evidence from odu ifa suggesting the approval or disapproval of homosexuality. The evidence I have are from contemporary Yoruba who perceived it to be irrational , taboo and immoral ..

I only suggest there exist an odu ifa who assume that sleeping with women as a man is more beneficial. In logical stand , we can deduce the ifa is logically against homosexuality, although the statement is open for a further scrutiny.

That is the information I collected from conversations with a Babalawo named Baba Yooba and yes there are folklore tales involving homosexuality in yoruba land you just have to talk to a reputable and a reliable ifa priest and you'll get the information you're searching for in any case this conversation doesn't matter it isn't going anywhere

Odu Ifa is made up of 256 Odu you're right but within each Odu there is more then 100 000 or even 1 000 000 verses worth of information so in total it could be 256 000 to 256 million verses of information and the average babalawo memorizes about 1000 from each verse so how are you able to know more then 256 000 to 256 million verses of information?

Ifa practice may be universal but the stories and beliefs vary for example there are different deities in different areas and some areas even have special Ifa societies like the Ijebu have the Osugbo but the Egba have Ogboni

Same way some mythologies say Oduduwa is male others say Oduduwa is female and some even say Oduduwa is genderless so as a say the beliefs and practices vary from group to group
Your excuses is so much .

The unique Truth, You can't position a flawed statement as a fact not even when you don't have evidence. Where is your evidence in Ifa or Yoruba folklore ?

No folklore history nor any existing ifa statement position your assertions.they are simply based on your ignorance.and if I am mistaing, provide one you know that we are not aware of .

There are folklores of it i've read a few stories here and there especially involving Yemoja, Osun, Oya, Ogun and Orunmila and as you should know different groups have different religious views the ifa practice of the Egba can be different from the one of the Ijebu and vice versa

How does it affect you? If people want to be allowed to be gays publicly - instead of hidding - I dont see a problem. Even in Kenya now there thousands of gays.

And as people become empowered - they will not agree to live in the shadows - while you're out there kissing your girlfriend - they will also kiss their boyfriend.

Foreign babalawo? Both of them are Nigerian and were born, raised and trained as Babalawos in Nigeria

How does your breaking down of the word Adofuro prove that it was solely for man and woman it could be easily referring to male to male and not male to female as you claim it doesn't provide enugh information for any conclusions to be made

Your point on the verse of odu iwosun owurin don't prove it was taboo ultimately yes sex in the normal is better but it doesn't mean sex with men and men or woman and women is a taboo
Then if the so called babalawo is a trained Nigerian babalawo, he will have know better. I repeat no part of odu ifa mentioned or emphasised on lesbians or LGBT. It is not in anyway recorded. So his practiced is not known or forbidden even if at all it exist . It is either two ways. No aspect of Yoruba life that ifa didn't talk about as humanity is concern .

Aadufuro is an open word and can be misapply by whoever wish but the fact remain, it is not about woman to woman ( that is excluded) so if you mean , it is a man to man, you will have to substantiate with evidence .

1 .from any of the odu ifa( the only sacred knowledge of the Yoruba .

2. A known or folklore history that talks about it. Yoruba are the kind of people who are known to put their practice into folklore or moon night tales inorder to secured the knowledge or existing information .

A good example from each of this will put a yes to your assumption.

It definitely isn't a recent word and the word also refers to those doing it from man to man and yes there are concepts of lesbian sex mainly for ritual purposes concerning Osun or Oya

LGBTQ isn't considered taboo in Yoruba or Igbo culture

Please give me the part of the Odu Ifa where there is a logical warning

Because I have personally talked with two Babalawos and they've both said there's nothing against homosexuality in the odu ifa and they were there and were able to practice in the past in fact they even had a special name I forgot what exactly the babalawo called it I had it on my old twitter account but it was shutdown
well, the word adofuro remain open as the word is not specific. so biased people can find it attractive to misuse it and misapply it in anyway that suits them.

But the honest truth is , it is a new Yoruba Grammer. The word actually means he who has sex thru anus, in this essence , we know the word does not represent or qualify a woman, it is surely a man, cus naturally, it is only man who can penetrate. ""A do"" literally the act of penetration and " furo " the anus and her area . So in the morphemes, it is ""adufuro" he who penetrate the anus.

No part of the 256 odu ifa emphasised on lesbians or LGBT . It is unfortunate to include what is not part of Yoruba traditions into it. Ifa is silent about it, it doesn't mean it tolerate it.

Stop reading too much meaning into foreign babalawo. They even need education.

Odu iwosun owurin/ elerin emphasised on the benefit of sleeping with a woman as a man. You can take a read .

There are stories in the Odu Ifa about Yemoja travelling to a land filled with Adodi people ( Anal sex people essentially ) so gay men and marrying one of them these things are there on the internet i'm not going to spoon feed you with information and stop acting like you've actually brought any sources for your own side of the argument all you've said is that's false or i'm wrong no proper sourceor evidence for anything

Till any of you can provide such please don't quote me
adofuro is a new word . Infact among the Yoruba people it is even a taboo to sleep with your wife thru the anus .

Aadufuro used in the link you provided actually was referring to men who sleeps with their woman thru their anus and not necessarily men to men or women to women. The name even suggest it. The man who had sex thru the anus.

There is nothing like gay and lesbianism according to the Yoruba . It is a taboo , irrational and unholy.

There is no where within the 256 odu ifa, where gay and lesbianism is mentioned and do not think because it is not mentioned then it might be practiced , I can send you an odu ifa that gives a logical warning.
