I applied for Canada study VISA online on 23rd May, went for finger print 17th June, yet to hear from them regarding decision. Now 14 weeks plus from the date of application and 11 weeks from the date of finger print. Is this the normal trend or there is something I need do?

An A to Z Guide for the Entire PR Process

A to Z Guide for the Entire PR Process

(FSW EE - Federal Skilled Worker, Express Entry Program)

FSW EE is also know as the Fastest, Cheapest and Safest Route (over others like PNP- Provincial Nomination Program) for Obtaining Permanent Residence for the country called Canada

CUT Offs,
Trend for Calendar Year
2016 & 2017

& Method to Get through the ITA Draws
& Way Forward :

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/past-rounds.asp

Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) Express Entry (EE) Program for Canadian Permanent Residence (PR)

where Top Qualified & Skilled workers with *Superior*, *Qualification*, *Communication* & Employable Skills from all over the *World*
were invited by Canadian Government to become a Canadian resident
and in turn Contribute in the Productivity of the Country that faced Aging Population as a Critical problem for the coming decades

Basic structure & outline for FSW EE :

ITA --> AOR --> Medicals passed --> IP1 --> N/A --> IP2 --> PPR --> CoPR

Official Links to Calculate your Eligibility for FSW EE & CRS Score :

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

Eligibility (minimum 67 Points)
& CRS Points check
(ideally 420-490 CRS Points for FSW entry)

Broad Factors :
Age, Qualification, Ielts score,
Outside Canada Work Experience,
Canadian Work Experience, Canadian Degree/Education,
Sibling in Canada as Citizen or PR holder)

Then IELTs
(Suggested MINIMUM score
L- 8, R- 7, S- 7, W- 7)

Best Ways to Increase CRS
(Improved Qualification
or IELTS Score
or 3+ Years Work Experience in Same NOC- National Occupation Code)

Core Factor Points :

1. Age - upto 110 Points (For Married Upto 100)
(Below 30 Highest Points (30 Should be before AoR stage) )

2. IELTS - upto 136 Points (For Married Upto 128)
(Minimum
8.5 - L, 8 - R, 7.5 - W, 7.5 - S
fetches you highest possible Points)

3. Qualification - upto 150 Points (For Married Upto 140)
Bachelor or Master's or PhD (Lowest at Bachelor, Highest at PhD)

Skills Transferability Factor Points (Max 100) :

4. Work Experience - Upto 50 Points (For Married Upto 25)
(3+ Years in Same Noc
Below 1 Year work experience are usually Ineligible for FSW EE & PR Process)

5. Qualification Skills Factor Points - Upto 50 Points
(Post graduate Degree & IELTS CLB 9 i.e. Minimum 8-L, 7-R, 7-W, 7-S)

> But Married ones get extra Points for
Spouse Qualification - Upto 10 Points
Spouse Ielts Score - Upto 20 Points
Spouse Sibling in Canada (If Applicable)

So Upto 110(Age) + 136 (IELTS) +150 (Qualification)
+50 (Work Experience) +50 (Skills Transferability Factor Points)

= 496 Max Possible Points from above 5 Factors
(Age, IELTS, Qualification, Work Experience, Skills Transferability Factor Points)

(Realistically most people are Postgraduate and NOT Phd

SO 481 Max Possible Points from above 5 Factors)

Other Factors are :

> French Test (TEF) Score
> Education in Canada
> Work Experience in Canada
> Sibling in Canada

> Spouse Qualification
> Spouse IELTS Score
> Spouse Sibling in Canada
> Spouse Education in Canada
> Spouse Work Experience in Canada

Health / Re: LUTH, Psychiatric Hospital Discharge Patients Due To Strike by Vblossom: 10:49am On Sep 26, 2017
iPrevail:
If this is in anyway true, then every staff in the damn hospital including the cleaners and securities deserve to be arraigned and prosecuted!

You mean people just go on strike for fun? Look deeply and you will see that those on strike have been oppressed for too long by agent of government in high places who have consistently refused to honour court judgement in favour of the striking UNION, cut them off their due, position and civil entitlement. The minister of health is a medical doctor, the minister of state for health is a medical doctor, the minister of employment and productivity also a medical doctor. All they do give answers only to the needs and yearnings of their colleagues (the medical doctors) meet their demands , give them their entitlement, promotion and position but when others ask for why what is rightly theirs not given, all these ministers do is to usually take them to court to stop them from getting their demands, several of such court proceeding/outcome has been in favour of JOHESU (Nurses and others except medical doctors). These victory has been on since 2012. The court has given directives to the ministers to meet their demands but all they do is consistently refuse. Let's remove sentiment, if you were in their shoes, what else will you do? Did in pains

Good-day All.
Someone defrauded me of cash. He said he wanna offer me a job, little did I know he was a scam and I had already paid in 200,000 into the account. the account has been placed under watch, but the person has refused to use that said account after he withdrew the money maybe because he has account with other banks. what necessary/legal step should I take to getting his BVN to enable me trace his other account with other bank? Thank you all for your advise.

Career / Re: How Lucrative Is Nursing As A Career? by Vblossom: 8:35am On Apr 30, 2016
@ Bhajea. Please come out of your delusion. Every BNSC Nurse becomes grounded at least to 90% level practically after NYSC even without internship. Just imagine what will become of them when they finally start partaking in internship. The comparison is not just worth it cos doing such would not be sane.

2. Should I apply as married or single cause I will like my wife to come over someday.
3. What are the current and future benefit of applying as a single student.

MY other question is
I Learnt on this trend that VO dont give Visa for part time studies. i have a bachelor degree in Nursing. am applying to CONESTOGA COLLEGE. Graduate Certificate in Critical and Critical Care Nursing. NOTE; The course is only available in part time for international student. The such course in full time for international student What should i do in this case? Should i go ahead or apply to another school.

Again, is Graduate certificate same thing as Post graduate diploma?

I have been following this link and the people here are wonderful people and are helpful.
I graduated Nov. 2012, served in NYSC 2013/2014. Started working in a private Firm February 2015 till date. I am 27 year old, I am married, I am about to apply for a post graduate Part time study in Conestoga college in Canada. i need your kind help on the following questions;
1. Can I ask someone living in Canada to help me pay my application fee to the school? Will helping me pay the fees affects the VO granting me visa? Note; someone is helping me to pay cos i am finding it difficult to pay from Nigeria.
2. Should I acknowledge I know someone in Canada if asked?
3. Must I share same surname with my sponsor as I will need a sponsor since my personal savings is just 600,000 Naira which is meager, Note; I am using sponsor cos my Dad is late and my savings cannot afford it.
4. If I am asked why I chose to do part time, what will be an ideal response/reply from me? Should I tell the VO, that its to enable me hustle/work.?
5 . Considering I will be sponsored , Should I say I am married if asked by the VO?
6. Are international students doing part time allowed to work
7. Assist with any other relevant information
