Money is for living expenses. A student may have paid accommodation, bought clothes etc, whatever he does with his living expenses is for his living. Nothing to be worried about. Go along with your bank statement printout used in visa application. They want to see your documents

I am only posting to help those who have plans of coming here to work and pay off tuition.

It’s going to be a very difficult thing to do in York!

There are cheaper cities with low cost of living and housing it’s better they go there so they can see their plans through as York is very expensive.

This is me repeating it again.

If you are on a budget and have plans to pay deposit tuition with the hopes of working to offset balance tuition my brother, my sister York is not the place to come to.

House rent alone will gulp all the money your earn from your 20hours a week!

Traveling abroad is expensive but we can manage it wisely by going to cheaper cities when on a budget.

Booking PCR tests with testingforall.org has been ok with me so far.

I landed UK on the 12th, got to my apartment by midnight. On the 13th, by 12, i received my day 2 and day 8 kits. I followed the instructions and took the self swab. I returned it immediately by dropping it in a royal mail box around me (it's free, just drop it in and go).

On the 14th, the next day, i received my day 2 result via email.

Update on private accomodation payment via Form A.

I am thankful my landlord accepted that i quarantine in my accommodation without deposit and without payment yet. I only assured him that international transfers through the bank takes time. He agreed with me on that. Meanwhile i escalated my application for private accomodation with Gtbank on the 9th of September before travelling.


Fresh documents were requested from headquarters lagos, i submitted at area 11 Abuja (someone helped me fill the form actually).

To quickly conclude, i have been sent my telex. 44weeks contract of 2672GBP paid via form A for 1.5m approx.

I was rejected application for private accomodation by numerous banks. It came through finally. If you wish to follow this path, you must get all documents ready. Had to forward my signed contracts on request.

Is GTB dom card still giving issues?

Let me ask small JJC questions biko when booking Qatar Airways, there’s an option to select seats, which I picked and it added extra 35 dollars to my tickets (I don’t mind) however, I need clarity from those that booked Qatar Airways directly from the website. After holding my booking, I was told I can’t add my seats, does this mean after I make the payment, I’ll be allocated any seats or I can still pick my preferred seats before I make payment. You select seat before payment. At the point of holding your booking, you would see a currency converter underneath the total fare.

I guess this settles issues around day 2 and 8 tests.

Look for "at your local bank", select Nigeria and you will list of acct numbers you can pay into. All belonging to qatar airways.

You can pay in Naira into any of their accounts stated online. Hold your booking before proceeding to pay.

A converter is on their website for you to know the naira equivalent of what you are to pay. Pay the exact amount, don't even approximate.

Quote your PRN and phone number as payment remark and send receipt to losreservation@ng.qatarairways.com also using PNR and phone number as heading this time.

An e-ticket would be sent to you.

You can use any bank. Only those that have used access can advise on their rate. I used Gtb, at a rate of 573 per pounds. I was debited extra 6000 naira later for VAT and commission.
