Mine was in 2009, I saw an advert in one of d National Dailies for d AUCTION OF CARS BY CUSTOMS IDI-IROKO COMMAND. I picked interest, called d number, he told me dat 406 was 400k, but I needed to write and application to d Comptroller Idi-iroko command, I did with my boss' company letter head, sent it to dia email, they printed it, STAMPED IT 'RECEIVED' WITH THE COMPTROLLERS STAMP, scanned and sent back to me.
Now I became a bit more convinced.
I asked of if I culd buy draft of 400k in favour of Nigerian Customs Service, they said yes, dat I can send my driver with d draft.

Now having been so convinced, since I was sure no one can liquidate such draft into his account.
They now told me dat for d comptroller to approve my request, he collects 50k for sedan and 100k for SUV, dat was how I sent dem 50k and everything ended up as scam.
I now imagine how many Nigerians who paid dat 50k like I did.

What the heck are you saying? Did anybody tell you she couldn't speak good English just because she was very proficient in pidgin? Delta (especially Warri and Sapele) people love communicating in pidgin and they are very good at it, but it really says nothing about their mastery of English.

More so, there is a difference between written and spoken English. Even in England, children are still taught English language in schools. You can be good in written English but poor in spoken English and vice versa. The English exams in Nigerian schools only tests people's ability to understand and write in English.
