boman2014: Some solders in Festac have shot at and brutalised a motorist for having an argument with a soldier over the right of way.
The soldiers numbering about four reportedly chased the motorist identified barrister Olajide Sipe, from 23 road Mobile Petrol station, shooting and at his vehicle in the process.

Our correspondent at the scene was told by relatives of the victim that but for the timely intervention of a retired commodore who stopped his car and restrained the soldiers from inflicting more injuries on the Jide, he could have lost his life in the attack.
After the commodore intervened, Jide was rushed by bystanders to Mercy Gate hospital along 72 Road where is receiving treatment.

Narrating his ordeal to our correspondent at the hospital, Jide said: I was coming from where I went to buy water barely ten minutes after talking with my wife on the phone, at 23 Road Mobil Petrol station, those buying fuel had blocked one lane and a soldier had stopped a bus on the other lane in the middle of the road.

“The next thing he said was, You must be a useless man, then when I saw that he was already taking that tone I decided to move my car, then he started running after me, after I took the turning on 23 Road, another soldier, light in complexion came in front of my car, I stopped, then he began kicking my front wheel and smashed my windscreen.
“When I saw he was kicking my car, I moved, then the two Soldiers boarded a bike, then they later became four and began chasing me, as I got to 7th Avenue, I made a U-turn and they rammed their bike into my car, then I drove off, when the soldiers saw me driving off they shot at the car twice, the second bullet hit my tyre.
When I heard the sound of the gun I couldn’t believe I was being shot at. After my tyre went flat, I came down and they ran to me and beat me blue black, after that people around brought me to the hospital.
The relatives of the victim said the commanding officer of the soldiers, Lieutenant Sadi, later came to the hospital to see the damage his men had caused to an innocent citizen, but offered no further succor.

GerogeI: I knew Emeka back in school, can't say he is gay. That's probably the wife trying to get back at him. But he is almost but not a nerd, smart and bookish, mastubation thing might not be a lie, but his wife probably does not even know what a gay person is.
Emeka is very gentle, am disappointed to read that he beats his wife, and locks her up? I think the problem is that he lost his job, and as the saying goes, loose money, loose respect.
Emeka if you are reading this, I will say, First end all this media court case. Give your wife some space, Give your mum some space as well, Provide as much as you can for your kids but focus on reinvigorating yourself.
Get back to that hammer brain of yours, look real deep, you will find things that Nigeria needs real bad. Nigeria needs those marathon brain of yours, so no need rushing to Canada, you can go vacation there later. Look around so many problems need solution. And you even have the pedigree to get funding. Give the lady her passports and papers, you do not need it, cause you are not likely to find Job in Schlumberger Canader in a downturn.
When you are able to buildup from what we all know you have, Your wife and all the rest will fall into place. This is nothing more than money issues, not because your family does not have money, but because it seems you are depending on others including your mother for money. He who pay the piper dictates the tunes. So get back up and play your own tunes.
Emekas Wife, here is the bottom truth. That guy did not grow up a minister's son, so can't be living with a bloated ego. You are really angry and spewing rubbish, which may come back to bite you. You have in your hands a brain and a mind that could rival Steve Jobs. If you cannot make a husband out of that, you will not be able to make a husband out of any better man. Go help your husband focus on the things he is really good at. Bro I totally agree with you but for a few points. I have know Emeka for the past 15 years. And I can guarantee you that this guy is far from gay. I know some of the ladies he use to hang out with and dated while we were in UNN and before he got maried. Yes you can call call him a late bloomer but definitely not gay! Emeka is the last person that will lay his hands on a lady. This guy will go out of his way to help, feed and cloth fellow students that he does not really know ( mind you his mother was not yet a minister while we were in UNN). I use to joke that he is too soft with women and they will always take advantage of his "gentleman" character. He is well mannered, humorous and treated every woman I have see around him with utmost respect and dignity. I don't really know his wife very well but from the little interaction I've had with her in the past her does not strike me like a person you can lock inside a toilet, abuse and she will keep quite for 5 years. This whole story is just cock and bull story fabricated to get back at her husband for yet to be disclosed marital issues. It's sad that she has to throw all caution to the wind, and lay false accusations to one of the finest brains this generation has know. This guy was the valedictorian for the whole UNN in 2005. He archived this in Electronic Engineering not some social science course or education. It really a pity that madam chose to wash her dirty linen in public. My question is "where are the adults in both families?" Issues like this should be settled in the family not on Linda Ikeji blog. |

deife: What a disaster! I'm not trying to tarnish the image of any company but I have to speak out. Lekki Gardens has a reputation for cutting corners. Some of the newly built houses Horizon as it is called situated at Elegushi busstop have cracks on its walls. If I were any of the house owners I'll relocate asap lest another disaster happens. You are not tarnishing any company's image! It's hi time we call a spade a spade. Lekki Garden estate development company is the most heart less and carlos company I have every know. All the houses in their estates are sub-standard and has one defect or the other. From the beginning we have pointing it out to the owner Richard but he didn't listen. The walls are cracking and bending even before the houses are finished. Since we have paid for the house before they started building it , Lekki Garden refused to refund my hard earned money. Two years ago a one story building collapsed in Lekki Garden Estate II (opposite Abraham Adeseyan Estate due to use of substandard materials and cutting corners). A report was sent to Lagos State building management office but as usual the report was squash and destroyed. In-fact Lekki Garden started threatening residents that made the report thugs. My final conclusion, if you have paid for any Lekki Garden building kindly go and ask they for a refund because they are just building burial coffin for you and your family. Secondly, this loss of 18 lives could have been avoided if the first petition written 2 years ago to Lagos building commission was investigated they would have been sanctioned not to take short-cuts and theses 18 lives would have been saved. God help us in this country! |

It's amazing how things are unfolding in Nigeria today. This is the same middle belt that fought on the side of hausa/ fulani during the civil war! The hausa and fulani used then to execute the biggest genocide in the history of Africa but the God that has been on the side of our fore father and the just is now fighting for us. God has set of the fire of confusion in our persecutor's camp.
1. Hausa/fulani killing themselves in the name of Boko haram 2. Sharia laws enacted to punish God's own people has turned around and breed the most vicious terrorists in sub-Saharan Africa. 3. Major Adaka (adaka means baboon in Igbo though) was assassinated by the same Nigeria troops he was fighting for (talk of use and throw away). 4. Ken Sarowia was hung like a common criminal by the same hausa/fulani masters he served through out his life.
......I can continue with the list. But I just want to point out something "Touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm". The retribution from God can take ages but it will surely come. And the punishment transcends many generations! |

jonaifame22: Would it be wise as we are not married yet to each other, and also my other games will be checkmated by her dwelling with me.
Please, advice me, I love her very much but....... Bro take this advice from me.....it's a bad move. See the reasons below: 1. She will cock-block your other runs. 2. Leaving with a woman will slow down your hustle. Can you wake up and leave in the morning without attending to her or travel for days without worrying about her security and upkeep? 3. The moment she moves into your house she will automatically become your responsibility! No longer her dad's responsibility. 4. Have you though about about what will happen if she gets pregnant....marriage, abortion, etc? 5. What of the cost of keeping a woman?.....an average woman cost more than a new born baby. Keeping a woman is more than friday night take out. 6. What's the long term plan for her? She might be trying to rope-you-in. Run brother run! Bro, I am married now for 3 years and I can tell you that it's a bad move. Once you have not married her, let her stay in her parents house till you have made up your mind to marry her. There is no gain by living with her. You can get all you want even if she still lives with her folks. .....mean while I think marriage is grossly over-rated. Being single and free is the way to go! Holla if you feel me. |

sunwa: I walked out of a relationship of several years as a result of consistent lifestyle of infidelity of my Ex.
She was my first love and i did all a man could do to ensure she was happy at all times but she constantly cheats on me and at a point she eloped with another guy while we were planning for our traditional wedding and when she came back to her senses she thought she could find her way back to my heart but i shut it permanently against her.
This was after series of sexual escapades she has had with other guys which i later got to know.
Though i loved her and still do but because i could no longer trust her, which is incidentally one of the bedrock of any relationship i had to call of the relationship even after series attempt and appeal by friends and family for her comeback.
This was in 2012, with time the wound got partially healed and somehow we became friends against but this time around on a casual level.
In January 2015, she got married and i decided to respect her new status by cutting off completely from her to avoid any chances of having any immoral act with her.
Just last week she sent me a lady's picture on whassap whom she introduced as her friend and she informed me that she has discussed with about me and that the lady is interested in me and she is highly recommending her for marriage.
The said lady is cool, i have checked her out on her Facebook page and she got my pass mark but i have my reservations, I don't trust my EX, i fear she may have an ulterior motive, till date she regrets that we didn't get married even when she was engaged to her husband she went to confront a girl I was seeing and really messed up things.
Please i need your honest advice, I'm not seeing anyone for now and the lady she recommended looks good, do i go ahead and key in or should i decline "the offer", as they say " birds of a feather flock together". Is she planning to play a fast one on me ( a revenge mission).
Please, what do I do?
Thank you. Mumu .... see the kind of queation you carry come here. Oya go ask IFA.... U need oracle to tell you that birds of the same feather flock together. 20pounds: I have always thought in investing in this direction. The disadvantages are greater than building living apartments for the working class;
1. Wear and tear will happen faster on this type of building than others. This is because of the type of tenants. They might draw on and disfigure your walls and facilities.
2. They are always behind in their rent and know how to avoid the landlord or Court processes. 20pounds I agree with you my main concern with investing in student accommodation is collecting the rent. The thought of leaving my day job to go and case students + cult member around is not appealing . The only thing I can think of is to build high end self contained apartments and rent it only to ladies. What do you guys think? |
