PoliticsRe: Osinbajo Tell PMB The Truth. Even A Foreigner Will Beat Him In The 2019 Election by veuttoutlemonde: 2:59pm On Aug 29, 2018
LIFEisSIMPLE:
I am talking about now 2019. The most powerful man in the world just called our president lifeless and hoping to never meet him again and you feel this is a compliment. This is a president that has spent more that 100 days away from office on foreign medical vacations. Where else in the world is this done.
The biggest problem PMB is facing is that the people surrounding him do not tell him the truth.
PMB does not deserve another 4 year.
Typical trumpanzee throwing your country under the bus in the name of opposition.

She has yet to touch down in Nigeria and she's already running her mouth. All these whites and their boundless pride and disrespect for the blacks. The way they run down Africans churning out poverty figures from their mind, you'll think there are no poor, homeless people among them too. But alas the reverse is the case.
Why are Nigerians on Nairaland so anti-Nigerian unlike what obtains on Twitter? Why can't we talk back at these imperialists, and leave out local politics aside, some times? Trump's reported comment about Buhari that filled the cyberspace yesterday should have received a widespread condemnation and trolling of Trump from us, but no, Nairalanders would rather insult their president more.

The only US president who ever spent three terms in office, Roosevelt, was a crippled who ruled from wheelchair, but he saw America through the Second World War making it an unrivalled world power.
It is because they are leftist thugs and traitors who will kill their own in other to get political power. Empty barrels make the loudest noise. I wonder why insults, hate and derogatory remarks are propagated and tolerated on Nairaland. On Reddit they are mostly deleted and banned. In fact news about Nigeria on Reddit is more positive than on Nairaland. They are making the same mistakes because insults do not win elections. If you think you are better than the present administration, tell us why and convince us.

Here are some Beneficiaries of the PMB social investment program in Oyo state receiving their own 5,000 conditional cash transfer.

No government has ever embarked on social security programs in Nigeria.

PMB leads others follow.
Tears of joy as I type this. For the first time ever in Nigeria thousands of people are being paid social benefits that one criminal stole only for himself. Never in our future will we allow the leftist thugs that call themselves politicians steal our commonwealth. As for people making the mistakes of 2015, insults do not win elections. Criticize with superior argument.

You are the LIAR! Darkness can never cover light it the other way round. You people keep spreading falsehood and fake news. The works of Buhari speaks for him unlike looters supporters party.

NaijaTalkTown:
I don't know much about politicks in Benue and Plateau. But all the other states in the Middle Belt will go to Buhaei in 2019 and that includes Kwara state. APC will definitely lose the Governorship post in Kogi and Benue (Benue is under probability becuase Abba Moro has plans to contest against Ortom). Buhari will get at least 25% votes in Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Imo and at least 70% of total votes in Edo state. In all the states in the South West, North East and North West, he will get at least 80% of total votes in each state. The truth is 2019 Presidential Election will not be contested. It is certain that if Buhari is alive and healthy, he will be re-elected. I don't have a problem with that. But why would politicians like Kwankwanso, Tambuwal and Saraki choose to end their political careers like this? They are fully aware of Buhari's popularity in the South West and the whole NORTH, so why would they want to unseat him? Why would a politician who is known to be 'smart' (according to his followers) choose to fight an opponent they cannot defeat?
It is simply because they want power to be in the north for 12 years. All these paid agents here spreading other narratives just to confuse people from their real motive. The north felt shortchanged after Yar'Adua's death. Buhari MUST finish his good works then power will go to the south for consolidation and continuity.

So you want people to die again from collapse buildings and pls tell me what does a lawyer knows about construction excel that they poke their nose everywhere.
Meanwhile check well USA doesn't do this trash china and their likes is a communist country.
What an excuse you are giving. Nigerians do not have homes and the government is trying to provide them not for free and you are complaining.

Waste of money on unprofitable ventures. Gov. Has no business in building houses for people. Empower people so that they can build for themselves what they feel a good house should be no the "mass" houses like shagari embarked on. Where are they. Anyway that is the best a country will get when they have lawyers in positions due for technocrats.
All western countries including China build mass housing for their people.

All the 13% derivation, federal allocation etc. that Bayelsa earned since 1999 was totally mismanaged and looted. If it was well managed Bayelsa with her small population will be competing with the likes of Dubai, Kuwait etc.

The OP has shown patriotism at its best, its a pity that many of our leaders are unpatriotic. Imagine how many years since this project started and it has not produced any steel. Like you said it is bogged down by international and local conspiracy. The steel market is worth billions of dollars thats why the Indians who see Africa as their market are sabotaging it. Buhari is a progressive, I think you should find a way to present this to him directly. God bless you.

Currently the tariffs are lower than cost even with epileptic power. For power to improve significantly, tariffs will have to rise. But i agree that most people will not accept it unless they see visible improvement in power.
The people cannot be responsible for their inefficiencies. Rise in bills will stiffle the economy more.

Look at them. They are talking of gas, this and that but did not bother where the gas is gotton from. All they will say is we are one country besides, they form minority. There is nothing they can do even if we take every thing from them. Idiots, you people cannot continue to take away the gas and oil and jubilate. The time is near when it will stop. By then we would have gone our ways
The gas is doing more harm in the area it is flared. I think its better evacuated to power the turbines.
PoliticsRe: What General Buhari Must Do To Fix Power In Nigeria by veuttoutlemonde: 10:48am On May 15, 2015
EnergyWA:
That is why we must solve the problem with gas.
Do you mean using another energy source? Gas remains the cheapest to use in a Nigerian environment where it is abundant. Poor gas supply is a logistic problem which can improve. Total pipeline surveillance is an expensive business. Mind you all the gas guzzling power generating companies already have a form of storage or holding chamber, but it is not enough. They need to invest in bigger storage that can hold more than 3 months of gas requirement.
PoliticsRe: What General Buhari Must Do To Fix Power In Nigeria by veuttoutlemonde: 10:24am On May 15, 2015
EnergyWA:
The problem is there will be nothing to store. An investor would want to be sure of the benefits of a project before carrying it out. i do not think it pays anyone to pour money into a gas plant just for storage.
Improving the generation capacity without adding new turbines will help the economy in the short term. New turbines take time to take off even excluding civil works. I think solutions are needed to run the existing turbines at full capacity without the encumbrance of poor gas supply.
PoliticsRe: What General Buhari Must Do To Fix Power In Nigeria by veuttoutlemonde: 10:10am On May 15, 2015
EnergyWA:
How will this work? Many barely get enough to run their generators.
They already receive gas through the pipeline, its just that it is not reliable. Why not invest in a storage facility that can serve as backup.
PoliticsRe: What General Buhari Must Do To Fix Power In Nigeria by veuttoutlemonde: 10:04am On May 15, 2015
@shellboy, gas still remains the cheapest energy source we can use to power turbines. World over it is the norm. In Nigeria it is a logistic problem. If generating companies can invest in gas storage facilities, it can enhance their productivity.

If the process is not good then privatization in Nigeria is a charade and should be done away with. Who are the people that bided and got the DISCOs? Does the release of billions by the FG to DISCOs it claimed it privatized the power sector not defeat the aim of privatization.
I believe the billions represent FG's liabilities.

My own opinion on generating more electricity to the National Grid is for the federal government to allow each state to get license to generate electricity using whatever means they can use to support the National Grid. The person who initially advised on the usage of Gas didnt forsee that someday gas will finish, there will be damaging of pipelines etc.
We can use coal, wind mill etc to generate.
The Big question is Why depend on Gas??
Gas is cheap.
PoliticsRe: What General Buhari Must Do To Fix Power In Nigeria by veuttoutlemonde: 9:29am On May 15, 2015
@OP, Is there no way for generating companies to have a gas reserve facility? I think it will help in overcoming logistics challenges.

What history and how far back can you go?. . . do you know that the more you go back in history the more you realize that igbo, yoruba and edo used to be one but see them today fighting each other like fools.
The misrepresentation, misconception or denial that exists in our history has to do with the fact that a our great fore-fathers could not write and keep records. Compare that to other places like Europe, middle east etc. where they have dated literature as far back as 1000 years. This history has been passed on to new generations. Ours is a situation where the history is passed orally. The new generation do not understand what history means, and they choose what to believe or accept. Instead of seeking the knowledge about their history unprejudiced. Many American celebrities go the extra mile to trace their ancestry and when they discover it, it becomes a thing of joy and pride.
There is one human trait that cannot be denied, it is history.
CultureRe: A List Of Igbo Dialects And Where Their Speakers Are Found. by veuttoutlemonde: 11:06pm On Apr 23, 2015
The issue of people denying their history is all but for selfish reasons. Self determination or even nationhood can be achieved without self denial.

In my opinion ukwuani people are not benin people and it is time we should try to understand these stories that has been passed down to us. We came from benin as a geographical location but not as from the people because the language we speak today is evident to that. There might have been some benin people who followed our people or people who are product of inter tribal marriages. There is nothing also special in having edo or yoruba words in our language as well. Our language is under the igbo and igboid classification so lets stick to that while still maintaining the fact that ukwauni is a language and not a dialect but 100 percent part of this igbo/igboid family.
The problem lies here: ukwauni is a language and not a dialect but 100 percent part of this igbo/igboid family One cannot choose his history or rewrite history, our history is what makes us. If all the Igbo dialects mentioned by the OP are languages on their own, they would not qualify as Igboid. One can decide to change or deny his citizenship, but his history can never be denied or changed.
CultureRe: A List Of Igbo Dialects And Where Their Speakers Are Found. by veuttoutlemonde: 10:22pm On Apr 23, 2015
In other words what Igboid people (non Igbo Izugbe speakers) are saying is that they know that they are Igboid but do not want to associate or be labelled Igbo.

Its not a ploy.

All I'm trying to say, we have a tribe, an ethnic group call Ukwauni...

The language is 90% related to igbo, but we share same culture as the Itsekiris, Urhobos and the Isokos.

We are a minority group in Nigeria, but a majority in Delta state because lots of people (about 7million) speak the language.

So please, we prefer to be called what we are.

"The
one spoken by the majority of the people
which is regarded the standard dialect is the
Utagba dialect. It is easily understood by the
speaker of the other dialects and it is the
dialect that is used for Ukwuani language
studies. Ukwuani language is also included in
the list of 27 Nigerian languages approved by
the Federal Government for the purpose of
"mother tongue education". The Ukwuani
culture is related to several culture in the
Niger-delta but have more social and cultural
affinities to the Igbo speaking people of
Nigeria".
Pls does Ukwuani language have a written one different from Igbo?

Its actually a simple device that captures/interrupts the remote signals when it is pressed. With it thieves can get into anything, cars, garages etc. Manually lock cars OR buy the new remote key that cant be intercepted and is protected.
