In Igbo land, certain names are know to originate from certain areas. E.g Chidinma, Onyinyechi etc are Imo names while Arinze, Ifeanyi are Anambra. Therefore, Chidinma in Anambra could be spelt Chidimma (Bt dt doesn't mean its d right spelling). Just as Ifeanyi could be written as Iheanyi by an Imo man. Hence, to both States, the other borrowed names is known in formal Igbo Language (Igbo Izugbe) as "Mbite Okwu".

Gencos have no problems. Infact, they ones brought to the public knowledge, the inability of the Discos to fully exhust energy produced; hence, the return current which bounces back to damage some of there facilities.

Good evening my dear nairalanders. Please I need your honest opinion on this issue because I am very confused now that I don't know what to do.

I have been dating a guy for about three years now. Every thing has been going well. He claims he loves me but he doesn't spend on me. He knows I am still job hunting that I don't have any means of income of my own but he doesn't care at all. How I feed, cloth, recharge my phone, he doesn't know. He doesn't even ask how I cope with all my basic needs as a woman. He doesn't recharge my phone and when I manage to recharge with the little money I have and call him, he won't even reject or ignore the call and call me back knowing well that I don't work. He will make sure he exhausts the little airtime.

It is not as I he doesn't have the money, he has it. In fact he is very comfortable but he doesn't spend on me. I am a type of lady that doesn't know how to ask for money but I expect him to know that since I am not working yet, he should assist me with some of my needs but if I don't ask, he will do nothing.

I am thinking of leaving him because of this attitude I feel he is taking advantage of my nature. Please help me out. I want to know your take on this issue before I take action.

Hello Guys, I know this is not typical of Nigerians to complain of getting paid without doing tangible work. As for me , am not comfortable with it but it seems no way out for me.
I am a very ambitious Mechanical Engineer with experience in various sections within the discipline because I have been working before graduation. Have both HNd and B.Eng. background. You know what that means.

I have been working in an Engineering firm for 6 years now but I have a big issue. I have been soo redundant for about 2 years now at my place of work. No sack, salaries paid as at when due, no project forthcoming and we are resume to work everyday. I have tried to get in touch with the management on we can diversify our operations maybe we can use our resources to get jobs outside our scope but all effort were futile.
I have considered leaving because staying their doesn't add value to me anymore. New jobs are not forthcoming.
Honestly I feel am sitting on a gun powder which I feel will blow one day. Even if this coy has so much money in the reserve, one day the money will finish.

Within this two years I have done some personal development training of Project Management, Maintenance Engineering and Managent because those are areas I love so much and would want to development myself privately. I had MNSE and COREN during this period hoping things will get better and I will move on. Up till now, nothing is forthcoming o. I am bothered. 2 years gone without doing anything and am getting paid. Pls am afraid. Resigning is not an option because I have bills to pay. Their not considering sacking anyone which means we will all remain their. Jobs are not forthcoming . Many interviews no reply . some would say am over qualified while I need to change job asap. Pls I need advice.

Brother, we share same faith here. My boss ones told me that I joined at the odd period; the office was ones a hub of activities. I guess its all about the current style of governance. Projects are no longer coming, and the ongoing few are improperly funded. And also, with the introduction of some new stringent policies, every major contractor would want to secure his own funds before handing down to us (the subcontractors). Uncertainties Everywhere!

My best friend slept with my boyfriend, I still love my boyfriend and I think we are going to be together again, but I cannot get it out of my head what both of them did to me.

The country today has been more divided than ever - courtesy your doppelganger (Muhamadu Buhari). But my joy is that the few Leaned Northerners understand the implication of Mr President's actions against the certain parts of the country. A time will come, when reference would be made to the current government's pattern of marginalization against SE/SS.

The voting pattern in 2015 only signifies that SE/SS despise the Man Buhari (and not the North), because they already know about his hatred for them (even while he served in TETFUND). And as I write now, my brother has not been paid since he got a job with the Federal Ministry of Works in Feb 2015., only because the list that produced him was alleged to have contained same number of southern and northern candidates. Another batch recruited the next year 2016 Feb (which contained 95% Northerners) have been payrolled and salaries have started coming.

A meeting of South Eastern and South Western governors is been held currently, with the recent hosted last weekend by Gov Rochas Okorocha. All, because both regions now find themselves in the same neglected atmosphere.
