bolame: pls i want to know if a person married to Uk citizen can go to dublin without getting a visit visa traveling frm Nigeria and have Uk expire visa on my passport will be going with my spouse and hold our marriage certificateHa, Bolame, have you given up on the republic of Georgia and Turkish airlines enquiries? Well, to answer your question: The UK Visa is only valid for the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, therefore, a visitor needs a visa issued by the Republic Or Ireland in order to enter Ireland. And though, there is often no border control between the UK and Ireland, but it is a crime to be caught crossing the border without the entitlement. Precisely, a UK visa holder can't enter into Ireland except holding a valid Irish visa |
shooqueen: Refused Entry To UK. Trying For "To Join Family" In IrelandI remember your case and the earlier post you made: therefore, i will advised that you wait and sort the finger-prints and identity issues because, the Irish authority will definitely know that you were in the UK, and they will investigate your records (both your and your husband's), and they will detect the finger-prints mess, and that may black list your husband in the entire EU computers. Remember that Ireland and the UK now share intelligence on Immigration issues. But what is your nationality? I hope you are aware that you must be an EU citizen, or a Swizz or Norwegian national to be entitled for the EU treaty rights of Rome which allows for free movements within the EU countries. Watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnT5aq0vx_Y shooqueen: Question1. Could anyone tell me what my husband will have to take to the Irish embassy for proof he has the right to join me?The same things that he used in his UK application; but the problem won't be with your husband because, 90% of the paperwork and the accountabilities will be on you shooqueen: Question2. How long will the process take once the application is submitted? The Irish Ministry of Justice usually responds to application on the sixth months after submission. shooqueen: Question3. Are there grounds that he could be refused other than they do not believe we are in a subsisting relationship? You said you don't have much time to wait, therefore, i think you have much time to get yourself into more trouble: First, there is a chanced that he will be banned from the EU for life if that finger-print mess is neglected. Second, He could also be refused the visa if you are not fully established in the republic of Ireland. Third, You must have a job, a full time job with a permanent contract shooqueen: Question4. Is there anyone here that has made the move to Ireland how have you found the job market? IT sector.I live in Ireland, and from my crude observation, i can say that though we hear the news of the recession from foreign News channels, i can't see any indication of the recession reports at all; i don't really know anyone who lost his or her job for reason of the recession: and yet, wages are not reduced. Well, i am neither an Economist or a Statistician nor am i a financial analyst though |
This sort of thing is not supposed to be allowed as the areas are only for security-screened people: Police officers are not supposed to be allowed near a plane since the possibility of passing a gun to a terrorist associate is there. Can someone explain what's going on here?
|
Hoodrat: So should we applaud youThis is an offensive disrespectful impudent response, and it is not right at all. |

justwise: Like i pointed out in my reply to the op, ticking 'yes' will do him absolutely no harm, yes he was refused a visa before however, he appealed and won, that is all he need to explain in the form, If the refusal stamp is still on his passport, its only fair that he clear any suspicion about the refusal stamp, the ECO don't have to second-guess about it.If his passport carries a refusal stamp, then i thing you're right with your recommendation otherwise (if there is no refusal stamp to explain) then, he is cleared |
dalobaba: Hello,I'm a post graduate student of funaab. I want to apply for uk visiting visa next week and following are the documents I av with me, I will like to know if I am good to go. ThanksYou don't stand much of a chance, you are an adult desiring to travel to the UK for pleasure; you are neither going to the UK for medical reasons nor for studies, nor are you going on a complimentary offer from your work place (these are the conditions in which sponsorship is considerable) otherwise, since you do not meet the requirement of a tourist/pleasure visitor on your own, you would need eminent figure to sponsor you. Well, you can try your luck if you have enough money to part away with, but i don't give you much of a chance |
Hi Justwise and all the visa experts. Greetings! Would very much appreciate your input and recommendations. I first visited the UK in 2003 on a 6 months visa. Then 2 additional times on a 2 yr working holiday visa, which expired in 2006. I've not been to the UK since. From the beginning of this year, I've visited Germany twice on business. I have two further trips planned before December. I'm hoping to acquire a uk visa so I can pay some short visits to friends and family whilst residing in Germany on official duties. I have 3 questions; 1. Which visa should I go for? Is it ambitious going for a 2 yr visa since I've not been to the uk in 2. During my 1st Schengen application, I was refused but appealed and was granted. Had no issues with my second one. I'm positive i'll have a 2 mnth valid schengen during my visa application. Concerning the question which asks whether you have been refused a visa for any other country, do I respond with yes or no? Since the decision was overturned. 3. Finally I have 2 accounts; my active account with 700,000naira. My salary passes through this account. Then my dormant account which till 2 weeks ago had just 200,000. My brother repaid a loan to the tune of 1,000,000 so now this account has 1.2 mil. Wary of how suspicious the embassy operates, I plan not to include this account during my application. I'll be purchasing treasury bonds with this account . My query is will it help buttress my economic standing if i add this investment slip or will still ignite suspicion. During application I'll provide proof of this recent investment but not the bank account since it will seem ballooned. Thanks in advance for your help.
justwise: 1. No its not ambitious to go for 2yrs since you have had 6months vis before.I have to disagree with the second: The man was initially refused the visa, and the decision was overturned on appeal and the visa was granted, therefore, his record is; had NOT been, and was NOT refused a visa. Same thing goes with a court case: if an accused was unjustifiably found guilty, and the decision was overturned on appeal, would the person be recorded an ex-convict or innocent? Dear Bobby_z, I think you would have problem with the 1000.000 Naira that was paid into your account, that would be considered "Money Lodgement" and it is an express ground for visas refusal |
rina070: I understand all but i try to contact immigration at germany airport anyway coz they said i can claim about money i dont want to get it back, i just want to clear that issue is enough for me. and if you mean that i overstay 30 days that they give it to me, i didnt coz i have a paper but at that time the paper was at home, we didnt know that we must bring it with us and we was stupid that we forgot it at home, we thought all is in system already but not. What they have in the system is the information about your expired Schengen visa, but (obviously) they don't have the info of the letter that was issued to you by the Finnish authority: the letter states that you must LEAVE THE SCHENGEN TERRITORY within 30 days, it doesn't permit you to travel within the Schengen, but you made an illegal trip to Germany under a repatriation letter. Your action was illegal therefore, your €100 collateral may be forfeited: I don't think it would have made a difference whether you hold the paper or not. But is the €100 the problem, I'm concerned that you are more bothered about the money instead of your immigration status |
rina070: yes, he from Eu state.I am of the opinion that the money was a collateral pending the proof that you are entitled to the Schengen border-free travel since you claimed to be a holder of the right travel document: and i suspect that they have now found out that you were an illegal traveller and therefore, they have apparently closed your case rina070: and i didnt live illegal in finland i have document for proof. but just wondering one things why finland immigration cant check that when i had leave from finland.I understand that you didn't live in Finland as an illegal alien, but remember that your visa ran out and your application for extension was denied and you were given 30 days to leave the country, this automatically means that you entitlement as a Schengen border-free traveller had been withdrawn and you were expected to leave the Schengen territory within the 30 days; but you committed a violation by travelling to Germany, hence your action is illegal. Please, make use the google translation service to read our posts in your own language since you might be finding it difficult to read and understand in English. Click here: http://translate.google.com/ |
rina070: Hi there,First of all, know that there is nothing much that you can do within the EU to explain or clarify your situation to the Germany authority because, you have become an illegal alien in Finland and in the EU therefore, you are officially out of their responsibility; so, you can not be covered: besides, your travel to Germany was a violation of the Schengen rules. You need to leave the EU before your 30 days of grace run out. And whether or not you can get the visa by marriage depends on the Nationality/Residency and Financial/Social status of your "Boyfriend". But you didn't state the nationality of you "boyfriend", is he from an EU state? |
joebol: IF THERE WERE REALLY NO ISSUE WITH THE PLANE, WHY DID ARIK MANAGEMENT CHANGED THE PLANE? SECONDLY, WHY THE CONTINUED SILENCE OF ARIK AIR OVER THIS SENSITIVE ISSUE?You don't seem to understand the point. First of all, there is no evidence of the claim about Arik Plane with faulty engine; so, I think it was all a made-up story: it is an exaggeration that a crew intended to fly a plane with one dead engine |
@vicjustice . V1 isnt take off speed, it's the speed at which a pilot cant safely abort take off. The take off speed is V.Rotate (V.R). Just so you know
That's correct, so, if a plane with one engine is not able to reach V1,how can it reach VR?You seem to have some knowledge about flying, so do you find the report credible? |
pheesayor: Stranger than fiction. But this news went viral via BlackBerries this morning:ABSOLUTE NONSENSE! The whole thing is being exaggerated I have many valid reasons to frown upon this post. 1) The average age of Arik planes is 3.5 years old, therefore, it is extremely unlikely that an engine of such age would develop a fault except if it encounters an interference of foreign objects during a flight. 2) Though standard airplance are equipped with multiple engines, but only one of them powers the generator, so, perhaps the flight attendant said "the engine that powers the AC is not running at the moment". 3) It is a gross misconduct for a flight attendant to announce an operational fault of a plane to passengers, only the Pilots have the power and responsibility to do so 4) Airplane needs full engine power to reach its take-off speed and attain lift, and then ascend to cruising altitude, so, it is practically difficult to achieve this with half the power of its engines capacity 5) No pilot would agree to fly a plane with one engine: they all know that it would take longer time to reach V1 (and take-off speed), the plane might even over-run the Runway and yet, not get to V1; and if however it happens to make the take-off, it might not have enough lift to stay airborne and climb to cruising altitude: there is a high chance that the plane will stall and fall down from the sky 6) There is no source to verify this claim Though, there are several other flight operational reasons to frown upon your claim but this should be enough |
imperiouxx: VicJustice,Yes, watching those programmes and seeing the horror of air crashes could be scary, but it is encouraging to watch them and see how Safety Boards Official give thorough investigation and ensure that such incidents responsible for any air crash never happens again |
1acre: I have a 6 month old visa, that will expire on the 3rd of July. I am presently in the UK, since the 5th of June. I told the border control that I will be here for ten days, but I think I will be here uptill a 2nd of July. Which is a day before the visa expires. My question, I hope there will be no form of trouble , that may arise at my exit or on renewal. Since I told them when I was coming in that I will be here for 10days, but then stayed up to a month. You are not conformed to the given number of days (that you entered during your visa application), that was merely a regulation to access, calculate and judge your preparedness and financial circumstances. And except there is a remark on the visa that says " duration of stay: 10 days" there would be no problem if you stay beyond the given date as long as you don't stay beyond the visa validity: Besides, the immigration officers departure are not going to observe the number of days that you wrote in your application form (that will require them to fetch out and go through you entire form); and such is not really practical unless there is a reason for it. Man, you are within legality and you're fine even if you plan to depart on the last day of your visa validity |

adex2000ng: Each time I board an aircraft (local or int'l) as part of safety awareness, air hostesses/hosts demonstrate how parachutes available to each persenger could be deployed in case of emergency. What "local or international" airlines did you board that demonstrate the availability of parachutes? Please, answer |

talktolaranow: @justwise,pls I am a current serving batch A youth corps member and I plan to apply for UK visit visa in July.A friend of mine wld be inviting me and he wld be sponsoring the trip,he wld also send all necessary docs like utility bills, mortgage acct, data page of his passport etc.I just want to know the documents I need to provide from my own end to make the application.I wld be getting a letter from my PPA though stating that I'm allowed to travel for a certain period. You stand a 98% chance of visa refusal because, you obviously do not meet the requirement for tourist visa: you do not have a job nor do you have a good financial standing, also, you are a fresh school graduate: besides, your host-to-be is only "a friend" How would you convince the Visa Officer that you have something to return home for? My friend, you'd only loose your money |
edwrad50: Guys pls advise on this. I have a relative who won the USA visa lottery. But he made a mistake on his age when applying. What do u suggest he do now that he has won?He should maintain the age because, any attempt to rectify it would reveal his dishonesty ; and that would mean a life time ban from the USA |
awumen: @justwise and vicjustice, a lodgement was made in the case of the house allowance. The embassy is not a revenue monitor office so, they are not to be concerned about tax clearance especially as you are not a business owner but a humble employee: they would only require to see your tax certificate if you claim to be the owner of a questionable business; but as for you being an employee, you do not have any issue with tax clearance document awumen: my question now is ;You don't need this document, this absolutely does not concern you and the embassy will never require it from you. awumen: 2.do i need to include marriage certificate?Whether you are travelling with your wife or not, as long as you are married (and you declared so), you are required to present your marriage certificate; this is a must awumen: 3.do i also need to tell them i will be going with my wife again in august since she jus came back in june?If you intend to go with your wife, you should tell them so, it doesn't matter when your wife was last in the UK even if it is 2 days ago: it is fine as long as she is willing to make the trip and the finance is available awumen: 4.do i also need to state that i have sponsored over 60 per cent of my wife's trip over the period of five times?Sure, you can do that, but be ready to prove it just in case you are asked to present evidence of the claim, but if you think the prove might be difficult; then, there is no need for this except you have a way to put it verbally (without proof). Use your discretion. awumen: 5.pls give me a link to the visitor's form, cmant get the right one?I am in Ireland, and i only know the online application site address: http://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/ awumen: 6. sample of letter of introduction from my coy below, review; That is a good simple sample, but i hope you understand that the letter will not be complete without a line saying "If you require further information, kindly contact us on 08012345678" For more information visit: https://www.nairaland.com/757271/how-write-invitation-letters |
Brixtonyute: I dunno but I don't think I can ever get along with any naija chic born and raised in naija. It's like barking on the wrong tree.. Their sense of humour is dead, no fun in their lives, act like the whole world is about to fall on their heads, and they're freaking rude and arrogant (for no damn reason despite being fugly)..Spot on, 100%. I have to agree |
awumen: guys- @vicjustice and justwise, however i have two new questions; It depends on your claim or the circumstances of your finance. If you state that you get house allowance from your company, or your financial details reveal any such lodgement, then, it would be necessary to include the document to prove so otherwise, this will be irrelevant. awumen: 2.my organization makes a deduction of 750 (seven hundred and fifty naira) as tax deducted from every staff salary, they pay this deduction in bulk to tax office so the certificate hence is issued in the name of the company,do i need to get a copy of dis tax certificate or do i need a new tax clearance for my personal self? This also depends, but is there any evidence that the tax "paid in bulk" involves the deduction from your wage/salary? By the way, who has required of you to get tax documents, what do you need that for? |
I think she's been sexually deprived (probably) on religion ground hence she resorted to that, she probably couldn't associate with a free man for fear of being caught and killed (in honour) |

adex2000ng: Each time I board an aircraft (local or int'l) as part of safety awareness, air hostesses/hosts demonstrate how parachutes available to each persenger could be deployed in case of emergency. Are you sure that you are not mistaking the life-vests (that are located under seats in case of emergency landing in water) for Parachutes? ![]() What airliner is it that deploys parachute for passengers, is that an F16 Fighter or a B45 Bomber? |
franknero488: No, I was not disappointed, I just realised like every other thing in life, sometimes there are limitations and hence I had to seek answers elsewhereThanks for sharing. But to be honest, i didn't see your questions when it was posed, and i don't think other competent people here paid attention to it; and i will not be surprised that they were unwilling to answer them not because they don't know the answers, but perhaps because, they think the answers are easy enough for you to know how to answer them without help: And actually, i would have trusted that you could sort that out yourself without searching the net for assistance |
Vicjustice: Know that there are two black boxes in every plane (the flight data recorder and the cockpit voice recorder) and the two black boxes are separated and positioned in tough areas of both ends of the plane as a maximum precautionary measure because you wouldn't want to place your eggs in one basket. This is also a proof that black boxes are not damaged-proof
