SOTAJ: @Phillipin7, I really don't think vicjustice has ever been rude in any of his postings. The whole essence of the forum is to rub minds and share ideas because no single person has it all.
Though we may have divergent views or understanding about issues, we are supposed to be better for it at the end of the day.

I really think people like vicjustice should be appreaciated and commended for their inputs. Not everybody has the time to contribute even though we may have fair knowlede of visa application.

In my case all the documents listed below are available but my statement of account cannot fly .will my visa application in this circumstances be determined mainly on my husbands statement of account or do i need to have a enough money in my statement of account? Thanks

-letter of appointment.
-letter of salary increament.
-payslip(3 months)
-mails showing non approval of pay slip.(the management cancelled the issuance of payslip from January this year)
-Annual Leave Letter.
-Company's ID.

-bank papers.

-marriage certificate and pictures.
p.s-i have an insurance plan i pay monthly into,can i also include it as savings?

-hotel accomodation

Their invitation letter sent to me by my broda was dated 5th june and am yet to submit their application.what's your take on dis pls.

SOTAJ: @Vicjustice, if I understood Philipin7's posts well,i think she only wants to apply for a family visit visa (Which is the category of visa I have always applied for). Like I said initially, I have had cause to apply for and even renewed my family visit visa without any birth certificate. I want to believe the biodata page of one's passport suffuices for any information required as regards the applicant's age and so on.

There will be discrepancies when they check the former form, how do i address this discrepancy when i want to re-apply.

In the univ of calgary, the fees is CAD 13,000.My dad is going to be my sponsor but he earns about 400k monthly and about 6-7mill yearly with bonuses, also has some landed properties. I dnt think he saves much but he can pull a loan of $30k without collateral if he gets an introduction letter from his work place.I want to find out if $30k is deposited in his account with 6 months statement of account and a cover explaining it is a loan, would that proof my ability to fund myself? Also about ties I wouldn't have any employment as I plan to go as soon as I graduate, all my family is in Nigeria and I have nobody in canada. How can I address the issue of ties to home country? I would really appreciate your contributions and suggestions, please help a brother out.

Please i have a challenge with my uk visa application.
My application was refused today based on discrepancy in my date of birth. Eco put it as: You have sought entry as a visitor for 14days, u have described yourself as banker employed by ****** bank since*****. U have declared your monthly income as N320,000,(1280Pounce) and have stated that you will meet the costs of this trip yourself. In support of your application you have submitted a Nigerian passport this confirms your date of birth as 30/01/1(****, however you have made previous applications to visit the uk at that time you had used date of birth 29/01/19***. you have not addressed this discrepancy in your date of birth, this casts doubts over your application, on the balance of probabilities, i am not satisfied that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor.
I actually applied for visiting visa in 2007 with DOB of 29/01 but the passport got lost with another country visa on it. I sworn an affidavit regarding that in which i submitted with my application. A mistake was made on my second passport instead of 29/01 it was typed as 30/01 and i used the new passport without addressing the discrepancy.
kindly advice on how to address the issue of discrepancy. Can sworn affidavit be done to prove my DOB as 29/01/** instead of 30/01/****?

philipin7: My husband is taking care of all expenses, so are they asking for how much is available for my flight fare or for the whole duration of my stay.

philipin7: Pls can someone explain to me why it is asked in the visa application form if one gets financial assistance from relatives and they also request in the form for us to state the frequency at which thess financial assistance received.

I think this is a trick question and i want to be careful with what i fill in there.

Dollben: Me and my mate lived in the UK for 3 years (Schooling and Working) before we got back to Nigeria....Now my mate called me this morning that he's confused about travelling to the UK for an official course because before we left he took the whole money in his accounts plus the banks over draft and credit that was giving to him...He also collected some phones from different networks which he is suppose to be servicing but he never did..and it has been like 2 years now...SO house he's asking me what is the worst that can happen to him? if they will nap him or what?
