EloSela: They moan about negative images of Nigeria been shown around the world and say why can't the 'better places' and 'good things' be shown instead.
I agree with you, infact, i said the same thing to an Italian mate: "Why is the media usually saying negative or bad things about Nigeria (Africa), don't you guys have anything good to say", i asked. The guy simply replied, "I'm afraid, i know NOTHING good to say about Nigeria (Africa)" "Nothing at all", i questioned. "Absolutely Nothing" he insisted. "OK, tell me one good thing about Nigeria (Africa) just ONE" He demanded. I thought for a while, i just couldn't imagine anything "good" about Nigeria (Africa), the few (if any) thing that i'd consider good in Nigeria are the things in which western countries excel at. Though it hurts, but i can see reasons with them for saying negative things about Nigeria. Now, Can someone actually tell me one, i mean ONE "good" thing about Nigeria?
@ Pahtahkee, from my observation, i can see that Bumpy John is not in anyway connected to the Okoro in question, he simply revealed the contents of the email he privately received from him (Okoro). Here's the quote bellow:

Not just in Ukraine. there are also opportunities to study in Afghanistan. . .
blasterman: I would not advice my enemy to study in Ukraine most especially if you are a black person.
You will regret living in such a country or in Eastern Europe where your security is not guaranteed , a place where a dog is preferred to you.
Please don't not endanger brothers all because you want to make money!!
That is my advice for yall trying to acquire more education
pahtahkee: You put the same thread on the travel section. What is your take on it? The same link has been talked on in the politics section.
Is it site or sight?
"slip of tongue" Well, i wasn't aware of any such thing child "witchcraft" neither do i know a similar thread already existed, i just wanted to draw more attentions because something needs to be done to eliminate such practices
A European friend and colleague of mine referred me to this site bellow: infact, i once had a conversation with this Italian mate: "Why is the media usually saying negative or bad things about Nigeria (Africa), don't you guys have anything good to say?", i asked. The guy simply replied, "I'm afraid, i know NOTHING good to say about Nigeria (Africa)" "Nothing at all", i questioned. "Absolutely Nothing" he insisted. Joining or not joining the Schengen agreement doesn't make a country safe, it is the attitude of the people and the system there-in that suggest whether it's safe or not.
@Bishop, i see your routes are mainly Asian countries, i've not been to Asia except when i visited the Asian part of Istanbul
youngharry: Good day everyone, honestly i actually need to travel and living in Canada, UK, England, France, London and other i beg of you in the name of God, consequently if anyone of you people can help me out by the way money is not even a problem i had much cash with me now and now, i beg of you in the name of lord jesus Christ, you can contact me on adekanye_janet@yahoo.com urgently
I'll be very grateful , contact: adekanye_janet@yahoo.com
Hey with such desperation, you're very likely to fall a victim. . . Remember, things are easier when done orderly: so, relax, take it easy. . . Do you really want to travel to the "UK, England or London"? If so, what if a "helper" told you that there are different prices for these three destination(s)?
A police officer takes aim to kill an ostrich suspected of having bird flu at Nigeria's Sambawa Farms. "Only about 150,000 birds in the country have been killed to contain the disease"
Many thanks Siena, Pahtahkee and others, you guys have eventually made this thread interesting. As for Nalijah07, accept my apology for not initially trusting your motive, i'm sorry.
pahtahkee: You are one hand saying you do not trust her motive for requesting for naija pictures simply because she might want to denigrate Nigeria based on that, and yet you are as well indulging in that very act of demeaning Nigeria in the same very post!
I reserve my comments forthwith.
Initially, i thought nalijah07 request was flattery hence the challenge. My apology. Well, to respond to your observation, Mr Pahtahkee, here is my explanation. Though i get your point, but you should understand my comment this way: a lady would not tolerate anyone calling her ugly even though she is aware of the fact that she's not good-looking. I'm not expressing criticism towards Nigeria, i don't believe in hiding our ugly sides as well as i do not appreciate being reproached for reason of my ethnic background. I just wanted to be honest with the reality because, i knew that sooner or later, the real image (not the photos) of Nigeria will be more or less revealed. So, by saying that "Nigeria isn't impressive", i wanted to prepare her mind for the worse: Remember, a person who doesn't expect "much"doesn't get disappointed.
nalijah07: @ Vicjustice - I am an African American woman, and did not mean to offend you. I just wanted to see pictures, other than what my boyfriend (who is Nigerian) has shown me.
@ Tegese - I will be visiting Nigeria next year - I guess I am a little anxious.
I really didn't know if i could trust your request since i wasn't sure your enquiry was from a genuine heart. You see, westerners usually ask questions about Nigeria (Africa in General) with negative curiousity: in most cases, they are correct in their opinions, but yet (though Nigeria is not an impressive country) nobody appreciates being insulted because s/he is from Nigeria. Forget about these selected photos, Nigeria (i know) is not an impressive country. That's it.
Spare me. What i said, i was compelled to say. I live and work with Europeans, and i've heard some of them asking whether people wear shoes in Nigeria etc, and i don't know who to trust or what opinions or requests are genuine any more. Pardon me
nalijah07: I want to know what Nigeria looks like. Post your pictures of Nigeria here. I'm talking about everyday pictures of schools, home/job life, shopping districts, baby showers, weddings, etc. Don't forget to list which city they are from.
Anyway, you can use the internet media to search for whatever you wish to know or see about Nigeria. Are you Nigerian or American? Well? (Americans seldom hide their ages as do Nigerians, though). My apology if you're merely interested to know about Nigeria. . .

These changes (or bans) might not have any effect on people who merit the various visa categories respectively because, those who deserve them would definitely not over-stay the duration of their visas. Therefore, the bans are designed for people whose intentions are not genuine (in the first place); and the bans will definitely not have any influence on them because they intend to over-stay at all cost, anyway
MR BEEJAZZY, REVEALING CORRUPTION IN A FORUM LIKE THIS IS NOT THE BEST: YOU COULD HAVE SOUGHT THE ADVICE IN A MORE RESERVED (OR CODED) WAY, IT DOESN'T LOOK TOO GOOD THAT EVEN THE OYINBO PEOPLE KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT HERE. THAT SAID, I MUST ADMIT THAT I'M NOT IMPRESSED THAT SOME OF THE RESPECTABLE GUYS IN THIS FORUM JUST TOOK IT AS NORMAL.
you have passed the message across humorously. i wanted to speak my mind but if i did it would have resulted in an exchange of words with vicjustice and so i decided to keep my comments to myself (i have promised vic that i will be really nice to him this year).
How does Mr. Dantecmu's comment refere to me in any way? I too see reasons with him and i never said anything misleading in any of my posts, go through my comments. It's no use promising to be nice to anyone if it's not natural with you, It's a free world and everyone is entitled to his/her opinion: So, i don't appreciate sarcasm.
shimfe: @Dantecmu, Thanks for your contribution & advice .I have carefully wieghed all the options & see reasons with you.Vicjustice did justice in educating me so far for to be wise enough to take the right decision on this . I appreciate you Ariston & funkybaby. You guys were very helpful as well. I have decided not to go there illigally. I'm going to get a student visa instead to Uk for my masters & i believe from there on i'll take it slow & steady.
Thank you all & thank You seun,This forum has changed peoples lives for the better .Very educative as well.I am more enlightened now & very exposed as it is.
Please lets keep up the brotherly Love. ONE LOVE
Mr. Shimfe's comments has answered it all, i was only giving informations of the situations and regulations of things in Ireland and Europe over; i never, and i mean never in any way persuaded him nor any other person to travel abroad or stay back in Nigeria, It's more in my interest to educate people on what i have first-hand informations about than to argue with an arrogant someone.
