TravelRe: Who Can Help Me In Getting Libya Citizen Passport by Vicjustice: 2:11pm On Apr 26, 2008
Well, considering your national status, and possibly you immigration situation, i suppose you are aware that there's no way anyone can get you a genuine Libyan passport, except you've just asked for a forged or tempered one that would get you into trouble.

HealthRe: Pain-free Menstruation: How Achievable? by Vicjustice: 1:33am On Apr 25, 2008
It's not a rare thing that some women experience dysmenorrhea (pain or discomfort during menstruations). But yet, most women experience normal bearable menstruation.
However, if your period is so unbearably painful then, it could be a sign of an actual disease and therefore means you ought to see a Gynaecologist.
Painful menstruation is usually caused by contractions which occur in the musculature of the uterus. These contractions take place when the body releases some potent hormone-like substance prostaglandins produced by the lining of the womb.
My suggestion is: you really have to make a conforming manner of living a healthy physical lifestyle; ie be active with exercise, be having a enough sleep, love to drink enough water daily, minimise your stress: and if you feel the need, you may take pain killers. But if symptom persist, see a Doc at once: because, it's not normail in any sense for you to have such unbearable pain during menstruation period. So, a Doc should be able to help and carry out a pelvic examination to proact or react against any case that might cause this condition known as dysmenorrhea
Laparoscopy or Ultrasound scan can help in detecting the cause and medicines which can minimise the production of prostaglandins and pain can be prescribed.
Note: Your pain could as well be caused by some certain conditions like the disease that inflame the pelvic, or the presence of endometrium elsewhere than in the lining of the uterus.
Oh, yawn, yawn, yawnnnnnnhhhhh!!!!!  So boring to be here, i prefere the TRAVEL section cool
Please, see a live Doctor, he'd be able to explain better.  Cheers! smiley

TravelRe: How Safe Is Port-harcourt Now For Someone Living Abroad Travelling Home? by Vicjustice: 12:08pm On Apr 21, 2008
I was in Port Harcourt (and later in Yenogoa) last January, i didn't experience any sense of insecurity or danger, except for the mounting of military presence at every entrance to either cities.
Staying at home or lodging in a hotel depends on your fear, purpose and capabilities. And also the area and the condition of the home.
It's so sad that some people are afraid to stay in their own homes due to the fear of armed robbers and violence embarassed
But, thinking about a hotel, what would you do if you intend to stay for a lengthy period of time, would you spend your hard earned money good enough for tangible purpose on paying hotel bills?
By the way, do many people know that you live in the state and expected you would be coming with luggages of cash  smiley?
I advice you to go home quietly, stay there peacefully, and carry out your activities in silence, and if need be, undercover as a last resort.

irregular cardiac rythms? what has that got to do with a boil? grin The girl isnt dying.

see a doc, it may not be serious.
The frequent unconsciousness may not be as a result of the "boils" or "pus", but the pain and the prolong screaming (during "draining"wink can trigger a stress situation that could instantaneous affect her cardiac rythms.
There are other considerable factors responsible for this development; i can't really tell of the state of her health whether serious or not, just giving instances on all possibilities.
The main idea remains that she consults a Doc who will examine her properly
Dear Stillwater, do not make the mistake of consulting traditional "healers", s/he'd most probably blame it on "Ogbanje" spirit

stillwater:
Hey doc,

I have had boils and anytime it's time to drain the pus (and after the usual screamings and shoutings) my body system just shuts down and I faint. I have to be revived back to consciousness. It has happened twice, though I have fainted thrice actually, but the third time was for something else. What do you think the problem is?
It's not clear what exactly the problem might be because, i don't know the volume of your "boils"and "pus" neither do i know the part of your body where you're infected nor what infections they were.
Your temporal loss of consciousness "fainting" is due to a sudden decline in blood flow to your brain. It may be caused by an irregular cardiac rate or rhythm.
Unconsciousness can also be as a reason of Diabetic Reactions, Anemia, Accidents, Heat Stroke, Cirrhosis of the liver, and many others.
Please, see a Doc, things are not very right somewhere.

Please doctor,

My friend can not sleep peacefully, I have been leaving with this my friend for two years without any proble until few months ago he started complaining of dreaming every night and having headache almost everyday. He said he dream every night and most of the time act aggressively in the dream and I heard him twice talking while sleeping, trying to solve a problem.

I heard him saying 'if the capital of the state is not in the book, then it is a new state'.

Is it Sleep disorder?
What can he do?
Most people talking in their sleep usually mumble, and their words are usually not understood. But in a situation whereby a dreamer is able to speak clearly enough to your comprehension, it therefore means, his case is a bit severe.
His case might be a sleep disorder which is characterized by sudden and uncontrollable episodes of deep sleep known as: narcolepsy
There are many factors that could be responsible for such development: Perhaps s/he experiences partial wakening?
This often happen to children. . .
Is s/he a student studying beyond the capability of his/her brain? Perhaps s/he is experiencing emotional suppression creating a state of mental or emotional strain or suspense due to his/her daytime stress making him suffer from fatigue and emotional tension resulting in his nightmares.
You see, for one to understand the main cause and recommend a solution, one has to know more about the history, and the information you gave is not adequate to reveal that.
However your friend might need to adjust and make a conforming manner of his/her activities with the mind and body balanced with the brain,  being him a student or a worker
I suppose s/he consults a psychotherapist for help.
Meanwhile, he should be allowed to have enough time for sleeping because it actually takes some more time for the brain to sleep even though the body sleeps.

Pal, how you dey? I swear, i don't know what happened, yet, i'm not surprised that some people could team up to destroy my image with reviling accusations (even some people that i trusted), i know that these people would have loved me if i were a visa applicant complaining to them that i was refused a visa, that is when they would love me: and give their "advice", but because i revealed that i am Irish citizen, i'm a physician, i'm married to an American they now hate me and are ready to do anything to tarnish me.
Can't you guys see that my haters only show love toward the people who cry to them that they've been denied the UK visa, how would they love me when i'm immune to such problem?
There's a Greek saying which goes thus:
"Kapios pou s'agapae alithino, den tha s'agapae mono otan klaiis me ta exeis problemata sou, tha s'agapae kai otan hamouyelas" Meaning: S/he who really loves you, does not only love you when you cry due to problem, s/he will also love you when you smile due to success.
Also: "H agape, den deixnei mono otan eisai kato, deixnei kai otan eisay apano". Meaning: Love does not only reaveal when you are down, it shows also when you are up.

BA has relocated all their flights to Terminal 5 which means that every passenger is required to submit their fingerprint or iris scan. Human rights activists and lawyers have warned BA and BAA that it could be illegal, but they insist it needs to be done for security reasons.

Most people in Britain are not in favour of being issued with ID cards or having their fingerprints and iris scanned because they feel it violates their human rights and because the government can be careless with such sensitive data.

So not only are BA going to lose the custom of most people in Great Britain, but also Nigerians in great multitudes. Besides, how many Nigerians are ready to submit to biometric analysis  wink?
Man, this is madness, these people are taking it too extreme.
Does this regulation apply to everyone, or it applies to people flying in from visa required countries?
And, does it apply to BA passangers only, or it applies to all aircraft pasangers?
And also, is it practiced in every airport or just some selected ones?

@ dnative
I mean extreme concentration, mind you, that Express road used to be called free high way, which means (except it has changed) as at then, you don't get booked for driving fast on that particular.
But Dnative, you've not started well, you could have made your own comment from your own mind instead of referring to other people's attitude?
Well, whatever has a beginning has an end, i'm too free this season being on holiday, so, i don't mind whiling some time in nairaland
TravelGod Saved Me In A Crash by Vicjustice(op): 2:10pm On Apr 20, 2008
It was on the Greek Athens-Larisa-Thessaloniki high way, the road is wide and express with 10 lanes, (5 going & 5 coming) with a demarcation in the middle. I was driving at a very high speed in a brand new car with digital speedometer, i wanted to see how fast it could go, and i was at a speed of about 226 km/h.
I was driving with extreme concentration when eventually, my phone vibrated and rang in my back pocket, at such a speed, a little turn of the steering wheel was enough to cause a great disaster that almost took my life.
Due to the sudden shock cause by the vibration, i lost control of the car as it zoomed across to the other side breaking through the plastic slabs that demarcated the either sides of the 5 pair lanes, it crashed against the side of rock mountain and began to somersault, it somersaulted several times, and then rested up-side-down.
All i could say then was "God save me, God, save me", and lo, he saved me, i came out of the car with superficial injuries or scratches that didn't leave scars on me, (except for very unremarkable ones on my left finger and wrist).
The Greek police were called, and they in turn called the ambulance even though i was pretty OK (it is understandable, that is the protocol), the ambulance took me to the hospital in Lamia (Greece), and again, according to protocols) the hospital wouldn't let me leave until after 24 hours "observation period".
Six months later, i received a letter from the Greek authority to appear in court for traffic violation. You see, in that very road, (as at then) there was no speed limit, it was a free drive high way, but that doesn't mean you'd get away with it in the event of an accident (which rarely occurs, though).
At the court, the Radar (Speed Camera) record of my vehicle was read to me and it was confirmed that i zoomed past the last rather before the accident at a speed of 221km/h.
I was given a fine of E500, yet, i didn't loss any point in my driving licence. But i lost my car in the crash. I remain grateful to God that i was alone in that car, a passenger wouldn't have stood a chance to survive that crash as i observed that the only part of the car that wasn't too crushed or twisted was the driver side.
I've been giving testimonies on any given opportunity, and yet, it didn't occur to my mind to share it here until today.
I'm grateful to God for sparing me.
