Waleabimbola: Good morning, please I want to know if it is necessary to fill another online form because I made a mistake with my daughter's name.i wrote EMMMANUELLA instead of EMMANUELLA.I wouldn't bother about it if i were you because, that is a very trivia error which will definitely be overlooked or even corrected by the visa officer once he sees the name (as spelled in the passport). There is no way that your application will be affected by your daughter's misspelled name And to answer your question, it is allowed to abandon a pending application and fill a fresh form, there is no rules broken in doing that. But for real, you don't have to. |
lagbaja: Help is needed. I applied online for a general visitor visa a week ago, unfortunately, I am yet to submit the hard copies. However, my travel plans has changed as I have shifted my travel date forward. This will affect my itinery and hotel reservations. Can I put the new dates and new reservations in my hard copies before submission or will it be ok to submit a new application ignoring the previous ?Simply abandon the pending application and fill a fresh form, there is no rules broken in doing that |

The mother should thank God that the flight is not intercontinental because, intercontinental bound planes fly higher: there is no way he would have survived at an altitude of 30.000 feet and above, there is very little or no oxygen in that height. |
eluquenson: Mrs Evelyn Ohikhena, the mother of the 13-year-oldThe English is so Edoish, I'm not saying it is bad or good, but you can tell (by reading alone) that she has a Benin accent, or, the person who wrote this has it |
adeniyi bolanle: review of all documents that i will be submitting again after correction have being made. also sir, is it ok reapply after a week of the refusal?I do not see any sense in requesting (for) a review of an application that was refused on justifiable grounds, besides, a review could take ages... Yes, you are allowed to reapply at any time, but if your previous application was refused for reason of unsatisfying financial circumstance, i do not encourage quick re-application |
bad meat: Seems like the write up of a poor man trying to brag!even in western world there r urchins and poor folks that r frustrated!I travel to dubai, china, and UK,for business n leisure, both home n abroad Nigerians r hard working!all fingers r nt equal, all destiny r nt the same!becos u travelled out nor means say others na shit!truly nigerian n proud#originalnigerdeltadandada#Who told you that Nigerians are "hard working" people? You must be saying this from your own opinion. But you need to come to reality and understand what Nigerians are known for. Get it right, Nigerians do not have the reputation of HARD WORKERS, but of dubious people; goal diggers; corrupt minded people; social benefit cheaters; prοstituting workers; lazy nuisance; romance cheaters; drug peddlers; habitual liars; religious fanatics; righteous hypocrites; loud speakers; superstitious believers and all sorts of negative reputations |
jennykadry: In August this year right in my very before, the custom officers in the immigration office used whip on some people. I was treated so rudely in our high commission here that I angrily walked out.I've just read through your post again, and I'm consenting to say that I agree with you and I share your thoughts in this. |
jennykadry: I sometimes avoid the travel section because of the hate some Nigerians based in that shait hole of a country called nigeria, spew. To be quite honest I believe it's just jealousy, jealous of fellow Nigerians who were lucky and blessed enough to get a life outside Nigeria. I know and believe that some of you wished that you could travel outside Nigeria and live in the westernized world for as long as you want instead of visiting with a few months visa and returning back to that cursed nation.Though, it doesn't apply to every Nigerian in Nigeria, but some of the things you said make sense, perhaps exaggerated though. But hey, I hope you have hard skin to take the attack that you'd get for writing this. I talk from experience ![]() |
pappy2000: I will like to know about life in albania.I intend to study there.can i get a job, your suggestions is welcomeOnly a person who wants to end up as a depressed lunatic in hopeless frustration would dare to have this unreasonable ambition: and despite the poverty that you'd face there, you could even end up in the den of primitive racists |
isogee: @vicjusticeYou doubted every suggestion that I offered and you've already made up your mind about what to do, so why did you ask me? |
isogee: @vicjust:Well, it's up to you if you want to claim that you're a worker? Anyway, I advise you to tick student and explain your situation in the Additional Information box |
ericas: @VicjusticeA sponsor is one Thing, and the personal circumstances of the applicant is another |
adeniyi bolanle: oh now i know am a learner, but sir can i reapply like next week after making correction and requesting for an administrative reviewAdministrative review of what? |
adeniyi bolanle: guys i got my package yesterday and to know that i was refused an entry to d uk on d basic that adeniyi bolanle: therefore they are not sure about my intention for staying for the short period as i av stated. Why would you appeal the decision of an application that was refusal due to your own "mistake"? Appeal is not an opportunity to correct a mistake nor is it an avenue to plead for mercy, rather, it is a means to challenge a decision that you believe was a violation of your rights or that denies you your due entitlements. Therefore, it only makes sense to appeal the application that was refused in miscarriage of justice. By the way, (beside your step dad sponsorship), what exactly in your personal circumstances that qualifies you for a tourist visa? |
Cyndas: hi everyone, i submitted all my original documents along with photocopies, i hope all my original documents will be returned and if some are not returned, can i ask for them?(since i also submitted photocopies)They will return your documents to you in due time. And normally, you don't need to provide the documents at the POE |
isogee: I have been following this post for sometime now. I am from Ghana. but needs a little advice. I have visited the uk on two occassion with two separate visa both family visit. 2011 and 2012, on my last visit I lost my passport whiles in the uk, and I got a new one from the ghana high commission in london. I wish to apply for a new visa, I have got the invitation from my uncle. My question is1) If the invitation letter does not have duration date, if the purpose of your travel is still valid and if your uncle is still willing to accept your visit, then it should be ok. 3) Your post graduate service is academical, so, you can still claim to be a student. 4) Sure, the police report is to your advantage |
shalon: Thanks Guys for your contributions.Maybe I should just say this, this forum is all about sharing ideas.First of all,I didn't cancelled the hotel cos of money,I did because I couldnt travel as the reserved period, secondly I was never aware that I could ask for an administrative review and since the period which I intend to travel has passed,I never felt it was necessary to reapply cos I wasn't desperate.I applied cos I wanted to travel in December not after that.Lastly It is possible for me to ask my lawyer to email clarifying the aspect of a false credit card.I don't intend to travel to the UK now or in the nearest future.I need constructive advice.First of all, no one accused you of cancelling the reservation to get back your money, I was only trying to warn those who might want to do such thing as this is the common practice with Nigerian visa applicants. It is advisable to contact a legal representative to plead your case and bring their error to their attention, this is the only thing that can redeem your reputation and reverse the ban |
eduson33: I have got an IV letter for a training and as well wishes to attend a seminar withing the period of my stay.Concerning the Embassy and Immigration authority, the answer is NO, you don't need a separate invitation letter |
shalon: shalon: Hello guys,I want to share my experience .i was refused renewal based on the following refusal note given to meIt's not because you stayed longer than 10 days that you're having this problem, it's because other things have gone wrong, and they have now brought your previous stay into question: it is not a breach of visa conditions to stay for 5 months even if you declared that you'd be staying for 7 days, but you may be subjected to explain why you stayed that long and how you manage yourself during the stay. If the information that you have given is accurate, then you are a victim of circumstance, but you're to blame partially, this will serve as a caution to others who like to book a hotel and then cancel it in order to keep their money: this rampant act may soon force hoteliers to apply restrictions to people booking hotels from Nigeria. You made a huge mistake by not requesting for administrative review during the window period, it will be near impossible for you to fight it now... I'm of the opinion that you've been banned for 10 years for this error which the visa officer considers the use of fraud and deception. Worse still, if your passport bears visa of these countries that you mentioned the UK embassy could contact the embassies concerned to advise them that you're a fraudster and that would mean a wider problem |
ayobj: I beg to disagree.I bought a KLM ticket to london on airport road lagos with my zenith mastercard.I don't know about now, but i know that a while ago, my very brother couldn't buy a ticket for Air France from Nigeria with a credit card. Even Turkish Airline wouldn't accept credit card from us last May |
Plz state some reasons why d eco won't overturn his decision. In my case, I heard my bank statement isn't necessary, that they only need dat of my sponsor. A frnd of mine, unemployed like me, was granted visa, and he only stated dat he will be returning because he wil be doing his masters soon
There's no need to enter a debate about this, you only need to know the requirements for tourist visa and understand where these requirements can be tampered with circumstances in order to understand the reasons an appeal or a review won't help |
wola44: Hi,Unfortunately, Nigerian credit cards are not accepted in most western country businesses, many thanks to the fraudulent activities of Nigerian syndicates. Once before, my brother booked a flight to Ireland from Nigeria, the flight confirmation came up, and the itinerary was issued, but days passed by, and then, one week, two weeks and still counting, but his account wasn't charged. With concern, I advised him to contact Airfrance customer care who later informed him that their system automatically cancels or voids any ticket that is purchased in Nigeria without cash. So, be aware that same thing could happen with hotel reservation. |
kofsy: Wait! How did he know he has been banned? Was he told point blank? Or he just guessed? kofsy: Lol! Why are you taking this personally though? There's no need to unduly encourage someone to hope for, or to attempt to amend something that never would be: the guy is banned and he should be told so |
uchechuwku: Wonders why d processing is taking too longTravel dates do affect the vast majority of visa applications especially if the purpose of travelling is date sensitive |
Ha, Bebeyeco, what are you doing in my domain? ![]() |
Greetings to you all, plz I need advise from u guys. I applied for Uk visiting to go see my mum. She's the sponsor and I submitted the necessary documents. I stated in my application that I'm unemployed but I added my bank statement which has 220k. I was surprised to see my refuesal letter today. The ECO said "You have stated that you are currently unemployed in your visa application form but have a job lined up for october 2013. I note that you have provided your bank statement. The account shows that large funds were deposited just prior to your application. I am not satisfied this has not been done to artificially bolster the strength of your application. Given that you are unemployed it is unclear where these funds have come from. Your failure in providing any documentary evidence of this leads me to doubt your circumstances in Nigeria. This leads me to doubt your intentions on visiting the UK. Therefore, on the balance of probabilities, I am not satisfied that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor for a limited period not exceeding 6 months or that you intend to leave the UK at the end of the visit as required by paragraph 41(I) and (ii) of HC395. Section 84(1)(c) of the nationality, immigration and asylum act 2002. Legislation.gov.uk" I don't know if the ECO overlooked some of my docuements, coz I stated it there that my mum has been funding me, and I added some receipts of d money transfer I've been getting from my mum. And now I don't know what to do. I was given limited appeal right. Should I review the decision. Will it work? Plz help
There are 101 reasons for the ECO to refuse your application, and as your circumstances are, there is no amount of appeal or review that can overturn the decision |
Gokawalker: I want advise from people that know about Norway here to Enlighten me about Norway because i'm planning to go and school there probably Engineering. How is there environment and weather like? Do they speak English or what Language? what is the cost of living like? is there Job opportunities there? How do they behave to Blacks and foreigners? Is their Education upto standard? i also want to know how can i get student visa to go there?First of all, bear in mind that there is racism and discrimination in every country, including Nigeria, this is a negative fact. As for the positive things, there is arguably no region in the entire world that is better than Scandinavian region in terms of most of these things that you mentioned, and to ask whether their system of education is up to standard is ridiculous. As for weather, you need to realize why it is called Scandinavia, and to know that this is a country that can have 24 hours sunlight during summer as well as 24 hours deem-light or darkness during winter: and its winter could be extremely cold and snowing. I'm yet to meet any Norwegian who doesn't speak English |
wola44: Thanks, All the hotel are asking for my credit card details for reservation , How can i do hotel reservation without giving them credit card details ?.Except you visit the hotel in person, or have someone to do that for you, it would be highly unlikely to find a hotel that allows reservation without credit card details |
wola44: Vicjustice Thanks, Can u give me hotel reservation website near Victoria UK d conference center.I'll recommend that you go to www.Google.com and search for "hotel near Victoria in the UK" |
omobee23: Good Morning Justwise and VicJustice,The title is irrelevant (to airline companies) even if you entered Dr. Titles are for formalities in order to acknowledge the polite way in which an individual preferred to be addressed |
Hello All, I'm in desperate need of urgent advice. I am very new to this forum so forgive me if my questions have been previously answered a thousand times before... My partner and I are coming home to get married this year, after dating for almost 2 and half years... We've gone through the UKBA website and are comfortable in the areas of accommodation and finance He has his own 3 bed house on a mortgage and lives there on his own.... And he's got a good job earning well over the £18,600.. Threshold...(- he is also British.) The only problems we have are, I am overstayer on a visitors visa(, and i have overstayed for almost a lifetime)...and I took up employment in my name... Also last year, I had an op for which I wasn't billed ( well, not yet) as I have an NHS number.. We have been asvised by a lawyer that it is better to disclose the work in a cover letter he writes in support of my application, to the BHC, and he also advised us to call the NHS to pick up the bill first before applying as I could be refused on this basis. Do you think it's better to call NHS and ask them for a bill or wait until it is raised as an issue at BHC in Naija. Would you also think it wise to include the work part in the cover letter or not. Is it better to keep mum on this and If I am called for the interview, and it is asked, them I would open up about it? Not sure if it helps, I've never made any application in the home office, neither have I come under the arrest or attention of police or immigration in the UK... Thank you very much....
Even if you don't intend to apply for a visa, are you not supposed to pay your bills and debts? This is the kind of ungrateful behaviour that causes problem to innocent Nigerian who are genuinely seeking visas. Well, if you are married to a British citizen (or any other person with full rights of abode,) your old immigration flops and breaches will have little or no negative effect on your spouse visa application: the effect would be that you may be subjected to serious scrutiny in suspicion of involving in a sham marriage with the intent to obtain leave to remain in the UK. The onus would be on you to prove that your marriage is not one of convenience |
