Some years ago i had 4 momths left and the airline was acting funny, but they eventually let me go, but I dont know what the procedure is now.

booqee: [b]Sometime ago we were excited to have a train experience in our lives. So we boarded a train from kaduna to lagos. To my shock and dismay, there was no train on ground, we were told d train was coming from kano and we'll join it. Worse still, the first class coach which we paid for was full, but we were told d train was stopping at offa, and we'll definitely get another train there with available first class coach. The nigerian Railway corporation is just too terrible! Wat was d point in payin for first class?? I couldn't begin to imagine myself sitting with those hausa women and children who jam packed themselves like sardine. Funny thing was there were some empty seats around, but most decides to sit on the floor to avoid paying much. There was practically no place to pass, they had taken up every available space in the passageway. It was just too terrible! The smell and heat from bodies was terrible! One would think they hadn't taken a bath in days. I was so determined to back out, but my aunt pleaded saying its part of life experience. seems she was on some project cos she was excited and kept writin down everything she saw down on a notepad. And dat made me angry d more.
Pple kept fanning themselves furiously with anything. A fulani guy sat in my front and was doing all sort of dirty abominable stuff. I was getting nauseatic, i actually threw up at the next station..as a matter of fact i fell sick durin d journey.
On getting to d station in mokwa, niger state, the train waited for a an endless 5hours! we were told dat a train was coming from ibadan, so we were to wait for it to pass since dere was a rail crossing there. The waiting was terrible! A little boy had made a mess in my coach with his poo and i couldn't stand it, so like others i got down to rest, oh boy see dried shit everywhere on the railway, and some pple just sat there like its nothing. When we got to ilorin the train hit two cows on the railway, d fulani men herding d cows stood a distance watching us, crying bitterly like it was d death of a close relative! Weird. The train had stopped to check d damage, i was shocked when i saw matchete and knives coming out from different direction ready to cut some large chunks of meat from the poor dead cow! D fulanis saw this and through some kinda medium they were calling each other, it appeared they were trying to do some kind of 'juju'(not sure tho, but can't explain it), they were coming closer so the train officials and other guys who came down quickly got back on the train and off we went again. On getting to ibadan as well, the train hit a car parked on the railway (some pple could be so st.upid!).
Did i forget to mention dat niger state is a very very very big state and a very uncivilized state too?? We spent almost 9hours just in niger state alone! It is only in niger state i saw naked children and half dressed adult waving to the train like its their first time of seeing it(which is definitely not their first time).
it takes a luxurious bus 10hrs to get to lagos from kaduna, we left kaduna 2pm on friday and got to lagos sunday morning! [/b]

riteaide: Not easier said. Let him try. No harm in trying. This is not a regular refusal. He was refused for not having paid when he infact fully paid. Let him email and address this and follow up with calls. They will attend to him.

I'm new to this forum and I would like some help please. I was recently refused for tier4 visa and I have submitted an administrative review form. I was refused as the ECO claimed I had not payed any of my course fees even though my CAS showed all course fees were paid. Furthermore the ECO quotes the wrong fee in the refusal leading me to believe he looked at the wrong CAS when making his decision.
Does anyone know how long the review decision takes. Also would I need to re-submit documents I already submitted with my original application (eg. Bank statement)? Please your answers would be most helpful as I submitted just the form without resubmitting evidence and I am now worried. Thanks in advance.

riteaide: If you have indeed paid all your fees and the ECO refused your application by claiming you didn't pay anything, I would suggest that you immediately send them an email apart from the administrative review and bring their attention to it quickly. They cannot just be making decisions without properly checking through documents. Send an email to .

tex baba: I have been having mild turbulence while flying all this while, buh i have to confess the one i experienced recently was very terrifying. i have never gotten that scared inside an aeroplane before. The weather was a bit bad, so there was rainy clouds. As the pilot inevitably plunged into the cloud, it was as if all hell was let loose. The plane was shaking, mildly swerving from side to side as if it was going to overturn. I couldnt understand why the pilot was firing the engines more as though the plane was speeding through the turbulence, this made it worse cos in the midst of it, the plane was constantly droping altitude....it was hell.Passengers were shouting; the christians were shouting Blood of Jesus, while the moslems were shouting Allah akbar...i was a bit calm but later nna mehnn i hala o. I sha knw that either Jesus or Allah, one of them must answer today o, this plane aint going down...no not today, loooolz.lo and behold, we finally got out of the turbulence and OMG! it was a harrowing experience. when we eventually landed and i got out of the plane, i ran far far away from the plane and even the airport altogether, abeg a nor fit shout.

global07: It has become a permanent practice now at the Muritala Muhammed Airport Lagos now that if you are travelling out of the country and its your first time(Virgin passport), you must part away with some certain amount of money to the immigration officers at the Airport unless you are ready to miss your flight. This practice has been on now for years now mostly for young passengers to countries like, Russia,india,malaysia,south africa,italy to mention but a few.

Recently some passengers where turned back from JFK international Airport because one of the passenger refused to extend a hand of friendship to one of the Airport officials who scan your passport before you proceed to check in.
A message was sent from the officials here at our own Airport to JFK Airport and one getting to the USA, american immigration officers where already waiting.
The excuse they gave was that the guy who refused to give money at MMA caused a fight at the Airport. That was the reason that was give for turning back all the nigerians on the flight from Nigeria.

You maybe wondering if they had fake visa or they used someone else passport. 2 of the passengers have been to the USA before(last year with same valid visas) on trip all travelling documents complete.

So my people I guess we really need God intervention in Nigeria and its system

lalla89: Thanks vicjustice for the info , but my question is that I have a 2M that my father put it at once in my saving account and the last traansaction in the account is just NYSC allawee that is coming everymonth and also I have no invitation just wnt go as a tourist ,the document I intend to use is the 2M bank statement ,bevidence of booking a hotel and flight ,my father employment details and his company certificate. Pls vicjustice Is my document enough for the visa and is it possible to use the that I just put at once in an account.thanks

Did you also submit at VI application centre cos I think this delay is particular to VI. A friend submitted his application at Ikeja exactly a week after we submitted ours and he had gotten back his documents and passport, though he was refused

I pray the delay would be worthwhile! God is in control... Just breathe and stay calm. I know it's not easy loooooolz

My brother applied for Irish visa to attend a conference on the 31st of this month, the application has been made since july28 and the result came in today which is exactly a month after application.. They asked him to appeal the decision. I want to know if it is necessary since the conference itself is billed to start in the next 4 days.. Or can he just appeal and will the visa be issued afterwards considering the fact that the conference would have been concluded by the time the appeal result will be out. I need your inputs please..
