You and your corruption.
Please, would you mind explaining this, I don't seem to get what corruption has got to do with this |
chaircover: Pls How many months does one need left on their Nigerian passport to be able to travel out of the UK?There is no limit, you can travel (even with an expired passport) as long as the visa in it is still valid, but if you are travelling to a visa-free country, you can use an expiring passport provided you can prove (from your onward or return ticket) your intention to leave the country before the passport expires |
abikyshow: thanks. I only have 6hrs transit at Heathrow and boarding from the same airport to Boston. The amount of hours that you have during transit does not matter, you would still be required to have your passport endored with the 24 hours transit visa (even if you have one hour on transit) |
abikyshow: please I wanna know if I would need a transit visa to UK flying British airways.i will only change flight at Heathrow airport . please, share your past experiences here .You do not have to apply for a transit visa at the UK embassy, but still, you'd be required to have your passport endorsed with a 24 hours transit visa at Heathrow airport: this is usually done at the counter desk of the the immigration officers at departure point. Ensure that you give yourself enough time to clear the transit visa procedures as the immigration officers like to take their time in asking you all sort of unreasonable questions, they don't care whether you miss your flight or not. Note: Although, Airport Issued Transit Visa is (in my opinion) the most nonsense practice with the UK immigration regulation, but it may not apply to everyone, there are many factors that determine whether a traveller is required to obtain it or not, the factors may include the Airport of origin and airline carrier: ultimately, it takes the discretion of the immigration staff to determine it. It is generally safer to give yourself plenty of time just in case... |
booqee: [b]Sometime ago we were excited to have a train experience in our lives. So we boarded a train from kaduna to lagos. To my shock and dismay, there was no train on ground, we were told d train was coming from kano and we'll join it. Worse still, the first class coach which we paid for was full, but we were told d train was stopping at offa, and we'll definitely get another train there with available first class coach. The nigerian Railway corporation is just too terrible! Wat was d point in payin for first class?? I couldn't begin to imagine myself sitting with those hausa women and children who jam packed themselves like sardine. Funny thing was there were some empty seats around, but most decides to sit on the floor to avoid paying much. There was practically no place to pass, they had taken up every available space in the passageway. It was just too terrible! The smell and heat from bodies was terrible! One would think they hadn't taken a bath in days. I was so determined to back out, but my aunt pleaded saying its part of life experience. seems she was on some project cos she was excited and kept writin down everything she saw down on a notepad. And dat made me angry d more.Contrary to all these negative nonsense with Nigeria railway, come to Europe and see that train travel is indeed fun, efficient, reliable, safe, comfortable, conducive, punctual, fast, entertaining, amusing, spectacular, social and popular way to travel. Nigeria, a disgrace of a nation ruled by evil entities who lack the sense of embarrassment |

cydophobia: @VicjusticeOk, I'll grant your request if your account contains a profile of your given Name; Surname; Date Of Birth; Home Address and Photograph. These personal data would mean that your query is confidential. But if your account is as empty as it is, then your request makes no sense |
riteaide: Not easier said. Let him try. No harm in trying. This is not a regular refusal. He was refused for not having paid when he infact fully paid. Let him email and address this and follow up with calls. They will attend to him.To whom should he address the email? Understand that when a visa is refused, it is refused, recorded and closed. The ECO (Entry Clearance Officer) does not have the power to reverse the decision, only the ECM (Entry Clearance Manager) can make reconsideration: but unfortunately, the kind of email that you suggested do not reach the managers, only the letters that are explicitly addressed to the managers are delivered to them. Yet unfortunately, due to the volume of letters and emails received on daily basis, these managers have many serious stuff to attend to than to waste their time over an issue of a failed visa applicant when there are people assigned to handle this sort of situation in administrative review |
thekid123: Dear All,Admin review is your best option, the process would (usually) take longer than it takes to apply for a visa, but not as long as it takes to appeal a decision. In vast cases, you would be required to re-provide the documents (especially bank statement) for verification purposes |
riteaide: If you have indeed paid all your fees and the ECO refused your application by claiming you didn't pay anything, I would suggest that you immediately send them an email apart from the administrative review and bring their attention to it quickly. They cannot just be making decisions without properly checking through documents. Send an email to .Easier said. The embassy staff will only take a look at the first line and then delete and thrash the email. No action will be taken |
Hello house, is a 6 months bank statement printed on Aug 22nd still valid for application. I intend applying next Monday,Sept 9th.
You can still use it if nothing much has changed with the account... But be aware that this type of statement is subject to more scrutiny: so, if you know that something significant has changed, don't use it because, if you do, it is highly likely that the embassy will investigate and it may be considered as fraud which may get you into a serious trouble |
tex baba: I have been having mild turbulence while flying all this while, buh i have to confess the one i experienced recently was very terrifying. i have never gotten that scared inside an aeroplane before. The weather was a bit bad, so there was rainy clouds. As the pilot inevitably plunged into the cloud, it was as if all hell was let loose. The plane was shaking, mildly swerving from side to side as if it was going to overturn. I couldnt understand why the pilot was firing the engines more as though the plane was speeding through the turbulence, this made it worse cos in the midst of it, the plane was constantly droping altitude....it was hell.Passengers were shouting; the christians were shouting Blood of Jesus, while the moslems were shouting Allah akbar...i was a bit calm but later nna mehnn i hala o. I sha knw that either Jesus or Allah, one of them must answer today o, this plane aint going down...no not today, loooolz.lo and behold, we finally got out of the turbulence and OMG! it was a harrowing experience. when we eventually landed and i got out of the plane, i ran far far away from the plane and even the airport altogether, abeg a nor fit shout. It is normal to encounter turbulences and to experience the aircraft galloping etc, but trust me, even as frightened as you were, I believe the airplane was in normal routine, and that it wasn't in any danger whatsoever otherwise, the pilots would have notified the cabin: but as long as there was no caution announcement from the cockpit, then, it is very likely that you were never in any real danger even though the flight seemed to be rough. Relax Note: Even at that very panicking situation, you were still as safe as you are right now that you are reading this |
Hey people I want to find out for someone if it is possible for a university to act as their financial sponsor for the tier 4 general student visa application .thanks
What forbids the "someone" from asking this question him/herself? |
oloriesther: Dear Vicjustice,I don't think you can provide any documentary evidence in respect of the "loan" and the "repayment" because, I know how such transactions are done (in undocumented manners) in Nigeria. Now, talking about the documentation, there is no type or kind of document that would be acceptable except an agreement document that is witnessed, signed and dated by a notary lawyer; the lender and the borrower at the time of the lending/borrowing: anything order than this can not be officially valid |
global07: It has become a permanent practice now at the Muritala Muhammed Airport Lagos now that if you are travelling out of the country and its your first time(Virgin passport), you must part away with some certain amount of money to the immigration officers at the Airport unless you are ready to miss your flight. This practice has been on now for years now mostly for young passengers to countries like, Russia, india, malaysia, south africa, italy to mention but a few.Yes, there are corruptions and unprofessional behaviours at the airport, and yes, there are disgraceful activities and rampant gross misconducts at the airport, but this narration tale (about the incident at JFK) is utterly not credible, an absolute nonsense: only a naive person who has never left Nigeria will believe this crap. OP, there is no need to fabricate false information |

Pls vicjustice Is my document enough for the visa and is it possible to use the that I just put at once in an account.thanksYou do not need an invitation letter if you can provide a satisfactory accommodation details, but however, your personal circumstances are not meeting the requirement. And besides, there is an issue with this kind of bank account, the statement is definitely guilty of MONEY LODGEMENT |

Zaynkennel: Hello every1, there is a mistake in my husband date of birth on our wedding certificate, it reads 21st may 1980 instead of 1982, and am applying for a TRV to canada but hubby not going along with me, will that be a prob ? his passport carries the correct date. That is definitely a problem that can't be ignored, it is enough to get you refused and even subject you to further discredibility |
IrishBebey: how is that even possible?Dear, while it may not be possible in Ireland, everything is possible in Nigeria, at least, every negative thing is. I thought you about this lol |
Raphel2011: Today makes it 17 working days and I haven't heard anything yet. I'm just tired of waiting and the main thing that bothers me is registration in my uni. If I don't get back to schl by wednesday, I won't be able to pick courses for this semester and I can't go back to uni without my passport. Will I have to forfeit a whole semester just bcs I want a uk visiting visa? I'm jst tired. kofsy: Looool! I guess there is a technical problem17 working days is not something to be worried about, that's just normal |
teem1234: hello all,It is not logical to have two valid visas (of same country) in one passport. Though your visa was issued for the principal purpose of visiting your family, but that doesn't mean that you are confined to your family house only, you are free to go anywhere within the UK, and there is nothing wrong in using the occasion to attend a conference as long as you are not taking up an employment with it. But do not make the mistake of giving the impression that you are visiting the UK with this visa for the purpose of attending a conference, in fact, it is wise to not even talk about it if you know that it will be difficult for you to justify your intentions. |
Tegese: Love model you mean?Old boy, where have you been, have you been babefishing? ![]() |
This is in reference to the recent development in about the teenager's incident |
talitakumi: I just collected my family reunion visa to join my wife, which will start counting in september to expire september next year. I just got a contact job with a sattellite firm. And I intended to travel july next year is there going to be questioning about my not using my visa on time.pls I need ur advise.thanksFamily reunion visa is a visa with rights, and normally, family reunion visas are extendable (or converted to residence permit) when you are in the issuing country, so you wouldn't have any problem entering late as long as the visa is still valid because, you were not issued the visa as a gesture of privilege to visit the country, rather, you were granted the visa as a right with open possibility of choice to extend your stay |
oloriesther: Yes I am applying as a general visitor. Please do you have a template of the letter you adviced I write & attach to my application to the UK embassy explaining the Land agreement & the deposite into my account which was a refund of the loan i gave some 2 friends.I don't think a letter will be enough without credible documentation to prove same |
dannywest01: Hello All, Please i need a favor from you all... My brother applied for Irish visa to attend a conference on the 31st of this month, the application has been made since july28 and the result came in today which is exactly a month after application.. They asked him to appeal the decision. I want to know if it is necessary since the conference itself is billed to start in the next 4 days.. Or can he just appeal and will the visa be issued afterwards considering the fact that the conference would have been concluded by the time the appeal result will be out. I need your inputs please..From your writeup, you already know the answer to your own question. By the way, I doubt that you can make appeal in such category. |
honey86: pls, are atm machines available at the arrival hall of the international airport?YES, they are available at the airport, maybe not inside the main waiting halls in MMIA, but sure i saw and used one just near the entrance |

we were told dat a train was coming from ibadan, so we were to wait for it to pass since dere was a rail crossing there. The waiting was terrible! A little boy had made a mess in my coach with his poo and i couldn't stand it, so like others i got down to rest, oh boy see dried shit everywhere on the railway, and some pple just sat there like its nothing. When we got to ilorin the train hit two cows on the railway, d fulani men herding d cows stood a distance watching us, crying bitterly like it was d death of a close relative! Weird. The train had stopped to check d damage, i was shocked when i saw matchete and knives coming out from different direction ready to cut some large chunks of meat from the poor dead cow! D fulanis saw this and through some kinda medium they were calling each other, it appeared they were trying to do some kind of 'juju'(not sure tho, but can't explain it), they were coming closer so the train officials and other guys who came down quickly got back on the train and off we went again. On getting to ibadan as well, the train hit a car parked on the railway (some pple could be so st.upid!).
