Joshthefirst: There must be a cause. Non-conscious randomness cannot reproduce directed and organized orderliness and consciousness of life we see in the universe.
hmmmm
Thoughtful....

Joshthefirst: elections are becoming free and fair.
The people are beginning to have their say.

Nigerians are becoming restless and tired of being exploited.

The fact is that the very people we might hope will change the situation once we rise to power will most probably be the guys to continue the corrupt activities.

Nigeria needs men to change. All people at all levels need to change. The very people who complain are the people who will steal when given any kind of authority, from school prefect to sug president to local government chairman.
The most popular word in Nigeria should be corruption.
it will take a lot to rid this cankerworm off our nation.
the youths are already corrupt.
paying to gain admission, to get a job, to get a promotion,e.t.c.
We need a revolution. But the thing is everyone is scared.
Just read about all those who tried to change things, did they gain the support of the people? Did they end well? Was their mission accomplished?
Nigeria needs extremists and most of us aren't...

it seems you don't understand the situation in our country...
Science/TechnologyRe: China Land's On The Moon. Does Nigeria Need Need A Space Program? by vickyO(f): 10:24am On Dec 17, 2013
aManFromMars: Nothing. Absolutely nothing. People have too much to lose if there is a change in the system. At least, there is a semblance of order in the system. Introduce chaos(revolution, imprisonment of corrupt officials) into a system already struggling with deep religious and tribal tensions and it would lead to anarchy. People are waiting to make profit if such happens.

Kill the thieving politicians - easier said than done, that's why most activists are on twitter and facebook. Talking the talk is much easier and safer.
Word!
Science/TechnologyRe: China Land's On The Moon. Does Nigeria Need Need A Space Program? by vickyO(f): 10:21am On Dec 17, 2013
texanomaly: It's not the government. It's the corrupt people running it. There is an election coming up right? Is it only for the president or is it for others as well? I don't know how things work there. If you don't like the people running it, get rid of them.
Elections here are never free and fair...
and we can't easily get rid of them, boko haram might do the trick though..

God is real to me, I've seen him work and do things science can't explain in my life.
Human logic is floored when it comes to the things of the spirit.
A mind that doesn't acknowledge Christ can not understand deep spiritual truths.

Logic boy, believing in God has far more advantages than not believing at all.
Christianity EtcRe: Lessons I've Learnt on The Religion Section This Year by vickyO(f): 7:54am On Dec 12, 2013
Ishilove: I've learnt that being religious and being spiritual are two very different things. I've learnt that atheists are a very confused bunch. I've also learnt that love is what has kept the world from imploding.

I have also realised that so many people need deliverance from the spirit of NL.
Hmmm, ^^^^^^^ is deep.
Very true @ the bolded(s).
I would have bolded one but I don't want to attract bombarding.
Christianity EtcRe: Surprising Things You Should Know Or Want To Share About The Bible. by vickyO(op): 7:47am On Dec 12, 2013
Logicboy03: Adam and Eve.....one of the most covertly racist and dumbing down stories ever told to man

-first, I am supposed to believe that I (a Nigerian) am a descendant of two hebrew/Jewish people called Adam and Eve
-secondly, I am supposed to believe that I am a descendant of continuous inbreeding from Adam and Eve's children over many generations
-thirdly, I am to believe that the human race came from all this inbreeding- just from only two people
-I am to believe in talking snakes
Believing is a choice not a must.

It's funny how you love to have everything figured out but as a Christian, I rather believe in something bigger than me; more than I can totally comprehend than believe in something I can figure out.

Do you know I'd rather believe in the issues you raised, than believe in the big bang theory or evolution?

Christianity and the Bible is all about Christ not about creation, though it speaks about it.
If God wanted us to be bothered about creation, he would've make the creation story long enough to be a book in the Bible.

I might not be able to clear your doubts about the matters you raised because there are some underlying issues I do not understand about the creation story. But it doesn't affect me as a Christian and doesn't change the fact that God is real to me.

23) The Standing Fishes Bible was printed in 1806, and mistakenly used the words fishes for fishers in Ezekiel 47:10: "And it shall come to pass that fishes shall stand on it."

24) The Discharge Bible also appeared in 1806. In I Timothy 5:21, the apostle says, "I discharge thee....that thou observe these things." The correct wording would have been "I charge thee..."

25) Rebekah's Camels Bible is an 1823 edition that gives Rebekah "camels" instead of "damsels" in Genesis 24:61: "Rebekah arose, and her camels..."
