The truth is that it is very unlikely that you can be convinced otherwise. However, this piece is to address issues raised thus far and to allow those who are sitting on the fence or are not certain about what to think, make an informed choice of what to believe.

The argument centres mostly on the issue that the Mosaic law does not apply to Christians today, which is true. For brevity, let us leave out human logic for the moment and stick strictly to the Word of God, the Bible. By Deut 22:5, it is an abomination to God for a man to wear that which pertains to a woman and for a woman to wear that which pertains to a man. At this point, the Op and contend that because it is written in the Mosaic law, it therefore only applies to Jews and not to Christians today. This is not true as the Old Testament books contains two Laws.. the moral law, binding for all humanity and the Jewish or Mosaic Law. Deuteronomy actually means "two laws".

For instance verse 1-4 of Deuteronomy 22 highlights a moral law summarised in the new testament as the law of love - love your neighbour as yourself :"Thou shalt not see the brother’s ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother. And if thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it unto thine own house, and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it to him again. In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost things of thy brother’s, [/b]which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thyself.Thou shalt not see thy brother’s ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again. -Deuteronomy 22:1-4

Verse 6 also is a moral law of compassion on animals...if you have the Spirit of Christ in the new testament, you would naturally exhibit this compassion. Verse 8 is a moral law ..any responsible Christian would not build a staircase or verandah without a railing to prevent people from falling? Verse 10 also is a moral law. It is wickedness to yoke an ox and a mule together to pull the plough-one will work the other to death. Finally, [b]verse 30 is a moral law vis: "A man shall not take his father’s wife, nor discover his father’s skirt. -Deuteronomy 22:30 .Dont sleep with your fathers wife!!!

We can go on and on... in other chapters there are other moral laws against sodomy, bestiality and so on. They are binding forever.

Just because they are recorded in the old testament does not make them null and void in the new testament. It is still an abomination in the new testament or a man to sleep with his fathers wife vis: "It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father’s wife. -1 Corinthians 5:1"

Umm Rumy: Trousers were only seen as men's clothes in d west. D indian & arab women wore trousers that were designed 4 women. Clothing is dictated by culture. It's when u wear clothing made 4 d other sex that there's a problem. In Scotland, a man's skirt is different from a woman's. From my moniker u know i'm not a christian that doesn't mean u throw away what i've said. Islam defines a mode of dressing 4 it's followers so men r very distinct from women. If there's something like that in christianity u shd use it 2 avoid confusion.
