The woman who called that my package was with her later called me again that customs wants to bill me but she knows the guy and told him he should call me

I sha follow the guy talk, e collect 5k (I know say na him pocket e dey enter).
The woman sef collect her share too.

Idk if I was scammed or if it was actually true they could have slapped me with like 20k+ bill on it but I just paid it to avoid any other delays cos I was already tired and stressed.


Description of the item was “mobile phone", I guess that's why.

Let me start from here

My order reached Lagos on the 24th November, then tracking showed unsuccessful delivery on the 1st December.
I went to my local po everyday till like 6th December, they said they haven't gotten anything. Then I went to the head office at Abeokuta, they helped me track it and saw that the parcel is at NGAKUR, that morning Nipost replied my numerous messages of "where is my package", and they told me "my package is at Akure delivery station awaiting collection".

This morning, I sent someone to Akure PO, they said my parcel wasn't there, and also helped in tracking it, same as the tracking info I saw in Abeokuta.

Note: my local PO is at rccg camp


The person at Akure PO said something like the item might have been redirected as shown below in the picture,(same as how it was in the nipost tracking Just that NGAKUR was there).

She also said she doesn't know where the item has been redirected to as it wasn't stated in the tracking


What do I do pls cos I don't understand anything again at this point.

Redirected since last week Wednesday, still no show and is there any office like headquarters where I can go to complain and they provide full proof of how it is or maybe their investigation/complaint office

So yesterday I called the Akure PO since they promised to check where it was redirected to, so they said they have redirected it back to my state since on the 1st which was when tracking updated it to unsuccessful delivery.

Hours later I got a call from another PO still close to my area tho that I have a package with them and custom duty too( I was like why mehn). The seller wrote in the description that it was a mobile phone.

Long story cut short, I picked up my parcel this morning.

Though, I will still give fault to nipost sha cos if anything had happened to it, I would lose the dispute and it's my first time experiencing this kinda thing and it was even inter state not intra(Ogun to Ondo far small), money isn't easy to get these days.
I'm thankful to genius43, lixusheng, and others that helped give an insight to one or two.

I think my case could be an example to future persons that might encounter this.

Any case of item redirected/forwarded, contact your local po or any po that can help you track it. Contact the location you find on the tracking data. They might have sent it back or it might still be there. If they've sent it, just wait patiently for a call/text from your local po.

1. There is nothing like AliExpress agent. Experience they say is a great teacher. I am pretty sure if you follow this thread religiously, you would learn a lot and be armed with info ahead of time.

2. Allow track24 to finish refreshing, when I checked that package seemed to have entered the country. The last update was Dec 5th or 6th if I recall. But there may not be further update from that point if it is an untracked shipping method.

3. Even before the existence of Speedaf, Nipost(Your delivery Post Office) will communicate with you in form of SMS or Phone Call to come and collect your item and you will be told to come with handling fees.

I went to the general office at Abeokuta, they helped me track it, last destination was Akure/item redirected(maybe to my actual destination), now I'm trying to get someone to help me check Akure PO to at least even see if it's there.


Anybody get anyone contact for Akure PO?

You can do the others and scan them for the person to print and take along with her. Worst is you speak with the person at the collection point to confirm.

Do they really ask?
Cos ordinary telling the person to go and meet nipost wahala is stress

The person have to go with a written letter of authorisation from you, a photocopy of a government issued ID of yours and also an ID of the person collecting it.

I've sent numerous messages to nipost and the only reply I got is “my package is awaiting collection from their delivery location at Akure since last week", and I've been sending them emails since last week that my local PO is at ogun state. Now, I know someone at Akure, so I want the person to help me collect it though I told the person she will have to go with photocopied ID and the screenshot of the email sent to me.

Can someone help to pick up a parcel from local PO?

But why are there delays after when tracking has shown unsuccessful delivery, mine has shown that since Wednesday and it's yet to reach my local PO, something that doesn't take up to 24hrs.

You reply them and inform them of the wrong address issue, they will reroute your package

When I replied them, I asked them when it will reach my local po though, I included my postal code too

I messaged nipost customer service on whether they got my order and why it hasn't reached my local PO yet since 24th, then they replied that it's at their delivery location at Akure.
My local PO is at redeem camp, how my order take miss road from Lagos to Akure.

Last update is Arrival bla bla Sha.

Next update should be unsuccessful delivery, then it means it's already at your post office and you should expect a call/text from them

Your money is safe, you will get a refund

It's just time that will be wasted and you must have patience

What's there is that people still buy from AliExpress cos of the difference in cost over there and here. And if the time is worth it over the difference of the price.

Thing is buying expensive phones from aliexpress is kinda 50/50 if its aliexpress standard shipping.

Recently i ordered a poco x3 pro from Poco Authorized Store and ditched Xiaomi Authorized Store when i realised products from XAS rarely arrived, both stores only accept split payment and PAS changes description of the phone to mp4 player. Aliexpress Selection Shipping was used instead of the normal Aliexpress standard shipping (idk if they are still the same). Now the order is "despatched to overseas" since 14th so i'm patiently waiting for it to arrive and i pray it does mehn but one thing is certain, if it doesnt arrive you will receive your refund back when you open dispute only that a lot of time has been wasted.

And it's possible it might have reached your po but they should have called/texted you, just email speedaf sha
