laudate: Don't be funny! I knew you were going to take the lazy man's route to get answers to this question, and that was why I asked you to go and conduct your own checks. I will ask you again to go and do your research.
The Esan and Afemai people are not related to the Igbankes or any other Igboid group. So take your shallow mind out of the waters of ignorance, and conduct a study on the Esan and Afemai people before you come back here to mis-yarn.
Haba! In what strange way are they heavily influenced by Igbo people?? Which of the Afemai people told you that? Or which of the Esan mentioned this fallacy to you? What aspect of their cultural music sounds 'Igbo', abeg?? Don't even go there. If you call an Esan man or an Afemai person, an Igbo.... you may receive some wicked insults, o! The Ovb'iedo will not take kindly to you trying to assign another identity to them!
Their names, language and culture are thoroughly Edo! my niqqa no misquote me. I grew up there listening to their local/highly respected cultural musicians in Auchi, namely "Ekpe young", "Ogagbi", "Waziri", "Young Bolivia". You'll find igbo elements in their music. When it comes to food, they adopted most of Igbo food, and are served during any traditional/cultural occasion. I never mentioned that they speak like igbo or answer igbo names. |

laudate: Thank you for educating him on the double wrapper issue!
Do the Esan and Afemai look like Igbo or do they sound Igbo to you??! they are are not Igbos but i will tell you that they are highly influenced by igbos. Listen to the elements of their traditional/cultural music, you'll hear some igbo influence in them. Come to food, you'll still see the influence. Maybe it's cos of inter-marriage |

ekenedegreat: What part of Edo is that? I know why am asking. i've seen the ishans/esan and afemai tying double wrapper during occasions, but the do not tie double wrapper as a casual attire/outfit. #b4 my fellow igboman ask me wch tribe am from, my mum is from Afemai (Ibie to be precise) and my dad is from Afikpo (Igbo) |

South Eastern Nigerian is wholly owned and inhabited by the Igbo speaking people of Nigeria without any exemption. Akwa Ibom and Cross Rivers have been zoned to the South South. Rivers State is in the South South too. Your statement is therefore naive. I do not stand to be corrected because I know I'm right. my niqqa SE is not equal to Igboland. Btw did i read where someone said something bout' Uyo being ahead of every city in S/SE? |

ODUBEZE: Its depends on your area of concentration. Its easy to Google. Its another to know how to put it down to attract traffic. So employ people with the skills and if you must do it yourself, have a mentor and an editor. i do have mentors but their field of writting is different from mine. Am into tech, graphics, humor/funny materials, tutorials, review and comparisons. Matter of fact am still working on my site in a localhost, so i'm preparing myself for what to come after i publish it on a live server |
