not talking bout' highlife.
I said listen to the sound you'll hear it.
You probably haven't heard an Afemia traditional song before.
There is no need exchanging words with you

What are the Igbo elements in their music??! shocked shocked huh I asked you this question earlier. And what kind of Igbo food did they adopt?? Are you sure that you were not dining with people who are not indigenes but who originally came from Igbo land, to settle there? shocked huh Or maybe you were dining with those whose wives were from Ala'Igbo.

To the best of my knowledge, Afenmai people descended from Benin, so it is highly unlikely that their music has Igbo elements, o!

Abeg, help me tell dem! sad undecided
Egusi soup (Igbo food) served side by side with Groundnut soup (Afemai food) in the coronation of the Uthairu/Ogie (King) and during "Age group".

They also use "Ogene" drum during their cultural occasion, e.g Age group, marriage etc.

Don't be funny! I knew you were going to take the lazy man's route to get answers to this question, and that was why I asked you to go and conduct your own checks. I will ask you again to go and do your research. angry

The Esan and Afemai people are not related to the Igbankes or any other Igboid group. So take your shallow mind out of the waters of ignorance, and conduct a study on the Esan and Afemai people before you come back here to mis-yarn. undecided

Haba! In what strange way are they heavily influenced by Igbo people?? huh Which of the Afemai people told you that? Or which of the Esan mentioned this fallacy to you? What aspect of their cultural music sounds 'Igbo', abeg?? shocked shocked Don't even go there. If you call an Esan man or an Afemai person, an Igbo.... you may receive some wicked insults, o! cheesyshocked shocked The Ovb'iedo will not take kindly to you trying to assign another identity to them!

Their names, language and culture are thoroughly Edo!
my niqqa no misquote me.
I grew up there listening to their local/highly respected cultural musicians in Auchi, namely "Ekpe young", "Ogagbi", "Waziri", "Young Bolivia". You'll find igbo elements in their music.
When it comes to food, they adopted most of Igbo food, and are served during any traditional/cultural occasion.

I never mentioned that they speak like igbo or answer igbo names.

Thank you for educating him on the double wrapper issue! cheesy

Do the Esan and Afemai look like Igbo or do they sound Igbo to you??! shocked shocked
they are are not Igbos but i will tell you that they are highly influenced by igbos.
Listen to the elements of their traditional/cultural music, you'll hear some igbo influence in them.
Come to food, you'll still see the influence.
Maybe it's cos of inter-marriage

When you wanted to post a comment, what were those words you saw in bold letters? Or you want Lalasticlala to read it out for you?

South Eastern Nigerian is wholly owned and inhabited by the Igbo speaking people of Nigeria without any exemption. Akwa Ibom and Cross Rivers have been zoned to the South South. Rivers State is in the South South too. Your statement is therefore naive. I do not stand to be corrected because I know I'm right.
my niqqa SE is not equal to Igboland.
Btw did i read where someone said something bout' Uyo being ahead of every city in S/SE?

Its depends on your area of concentration.
Its easy to Google. Its another to know how to put it down to attract traffic.
So employ people with the skills and if you must do it yourself, have a mentor and an editor.
i do have mentors but their field of writting is different from mine.

Am into tech, graphics, humor/funny materials, tutorials, review and comparisons.
Matter of fact am still working on my site in a localhost, so i'm preparing myself for what to come after i publish it on a live server
