Celebrities / Should Police Have Been Involved In Portables Case Or Not by victorbass1234: 1:30pm On May 15
We have been hearing the news of a lawyer saying the police is not a debit recovery agency.
But I beg to differ.

If u owe me money
And I ask you to pay and u don’t pay within the time agreed. You breached a contract.
There must have been a written agreement on payment modalities. When you don’t do that you breach the contract. That is not a civil case anymore. Owning money is not criminal ok.
I hear you
But when you refuse to pay the money after all talks pleading and begging and negotiation. It becomes a breach of contract.
Ok so now can police be involved in that one or not ?
Ok.
So who do we call. What law enforcement should be called when a debtor owning several millions refuses to pay after asking him to settle his debt amicably and keeps turning the tables.

What do you think ??
Responsible comments are welcome

Portable should get a good lawyer and sue the police. The extant law im in Nigeria is:
The Police are not and should not in any community of civilized people be used as debt or levy collectors, or in the resolution or settlement of disputes amongst people, as such use of Policemen often lead to infringement on the fundamental rights of others IGWE V. EZEANOCHIE (2010)

Crime / Re: Lawyer Faults Portable’s Arrest, Says Police Not Debt Recovery Agency by victorbass1234: 1:24pm On May 15
Odewaleadesoye:
Abuja based legal practitioner, Pelumi Olajengbesi, has faulted the arrest and detention of Lagos based singer, Habeeb Okikiola aka Portable by operatives of the Nigeria Police over debt related matters.

The lawyer insisted that police missed the track and went out of its statutory functions as the law does not confer power to arrest over debt on the agency.

Portable was widely reported to have been arrested by the police in Lagos over his inability to pay for a G-Wagon vehicle he purchased from a motor stand.

Reacting to the development in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja, the lawyer said that although Portable may be troublesome, his arrest and the method of debt recovery employed by the Nigerian Police Force was in blatant disregard to the country’s laws.

the lawyer stated.

Olajengbesi therefore pleaded with the Nigerian Police Force not to reduce its esteem but to always act within the ambit of the law that established it.

Honestly it’s appalling how people throw words like ‘scam’ and ‘thief’ around on this thread based on mere assumptions without evidence or substance to support. The faceless internet has empowered many shallow-minded individuals to brazenly project a mindset they should shamefully hide from the public. I really wish that a seller here would take up the next defamation attempt against him to serve as a deterrent to others, God knows I’d give him all my support

It’s not really about throwing about big English . When you post a product. It’s only ethical to post the price alongside and not being ambiguous about it.
What will it cost to put the price instead of cryptic words ??
We are not here to solve puzzles. We are here on this thread to transact for products and services

Phones / Re: Why You Should Not Pose Like This When Taking Selfies by victorbass1234: 3:25pm On May 01
Saturnalia:
Wahala for those using fingerprints for anything on their phones.

When I heard a story of how armed robbers chopped off the wrist of a lady who refused to unlock her phone for them some years ago, I gave myself brain and deactivated ANYTHING FINGERPRINT on all my Phones.

As an old school leprechaun, I prefer doing things the old ways.

Transaction oooo, Unlock oooo, Authentication oooo, Password oooo; Na alphanumeric I go input on my Phone.

Any criminal that extracts my fingerprints in the hope of committing any fraudulent activity against me is wasting his time.

Na those using Face ID I pity pass. If them give you correct multiple volleys of Igbati, Na you go voluntarily position your disfigured face for them (Armed Robbers) to carry on with their business.

Sir. Nothing is secure. If you can be beaten to stupor to give your Face ID or fingerprints you can also be beaten to enter your alphanumeric codes you say you use.
Just pray not to get into trouble above you

My prices are about half the prices of the new ones. Perhaps you haven't checked the prices of the new ones online or at the stores. Please use Google or visit your nearest electronics store.

As stated, prices are fixed, except you're interested in buying all the items together, then there could be a 10% discount.
