CareerRe: There’s Nothing Wrong With Being A Pessimist. by Victosin09(f): 7:06pm On Oct 15, 2013
Pessimism is one word invented by 'scholars' to blind the eyes of faith. Being pessimistic is not my thing....I work by faith, not my sight.

chaircover: Very good points poster. Can I add a few to those please?

Praise him. If we can tell them when they do wrong, then we should be as vocal when they do good too

Do things that he wouldn’t normally expect you to do e.g. if he has a project you know about, there is nothing stopping you from giving him a lump sum towards that project if you have the money sitting in your account

Take genuine care of his family & their welfare

Close gaps – For example if he is bad at remembering birthdays, then send people cards in his name

Always pray for him

Treat him with respect, like a king & let him know how special he is, in your simple everyday actions and words.

. . . . and a decent responsible man will return all this back to you
Hmmm
Loving this
Will put this in mind
For the future thoughsmiley
So much for this wonderful man!

Christianity EtcRe: Do You Believe In Spirit Wife And Husband? by Victosin09(f): 4:53pm On Oct 05, 2013
bellong: ".....But the natural man receiveth not the things of the spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned....."

The fact that spiritual issues have been abused by religious christians do not nullify the existence of true spiritual problems. Is there anything in the world that is yet to be abused especially religion.

Yes, spiritual husbands and wives exist as does the devil.
This was the exact scripture that came to my spirit when i saw the thread. Spirit wife/husband is real. So also are a lot of other mysteries.
FashionRe: Women And Braids ..is It Worth It? by Victosin09(f): 4:29pm On Oct 05, 2013
Braids are lovely, though i hardly braid coz my hair is so light. I'd rather fix my hair than braid. Moreover, its so time consuming, there are more important tins to be done than spending 'forever' in a saloon!

CareerRe: 10 Signs Someone Is Smarter Than You. by Victosin09(f): 10:41pm On Oct 04, 2013
manny4life: Going by what was written, I can authoritatively say that the average Nigerian isn't smart because

a. We talk too much, more often than we listen

b. Nigerians like to demean people, make others look silly which is one thing I hate

3. Nigerians place SO MUCH emphasis on education, what type of school, OAU is better than Unilag

4. When thing go badly, they're the first to complain, yell, scream shout and look for others to blame but themselves

5. Yes, Nigerians have the habit of "I'm smarter than you" or I know book pass you...

And the list continues

Now Nairalander, am I wrong?
I concur
Christianity EtcRe: You Have A Word To Share? by Victosin09(f): 8:13am On Oct 04, 2013
OlowoTee: "When I first got saved, I would give God deadlines. I would cry out: "God, I need you to do this by November"-- "God, you HAVE to do this by July." Although I totally didn't know any better, how foolish is it for me, the servant, to give God-- the Master, Lord & King a deadline to WHEN He needs to do something for me because of my impatience? Did God "do what I said?" Heck no. Instead, some of the things I asked for (A full time job at a particular company), didn't happen but what DID happen was development. I grew in love because of the unlovely people around me. I grew in trusting God because I had no choice. I grew in faith because I learned that my life is based on God's timing, not my emotions. I grew in hope because I stopped looking at this world for fulfillment & success. I grew in joy because I stopped depending on my feelings to be happy & I became content in each season. I grew in patience because I learned that there's a time under the sun for seasons in my life & if it wasn't my season, it didn't matter. Do you see what happen here? God could have OPENED that door for me to get some silly, temporary job that had zero to do with my purpose but instead, He allowed me to DEVELOP in FRUIT. So, what are you demanding from God in order to be happy? Let's be much more concerned about His will for our lives than meaningless, temporary pleasures on this earth." -Heather Lindsey (FB)
Exactly what i needed. God bless you dear.

idmanzik: Be diligent in your duties - Big things may come in small sizes. Your being diligent at your workplace might land you that dream job tomorrow. Your place of primary assignment may be a secondary school, but the principal of the school may be the wife of a well connected fellow. Just be good!

EducationRe: Are You Wrting Ican Exams? Lets Discuss On Passing Strategies. by Victosin09(f): 7:41pm On Oct 03, 2013
Bosky65: ICAN exams need mental stamina.it is not easy sha, especially when you are working. But the thing is that you have to zero your mind to get up to 25-30marks in Obj and Short answer questns. Then Any one you know in the theory aspects make sure you finish it well.ICAN sets/lift questions from their materials- pathfinders, pilots and study packs. So if students are diligent enough, they will passed. Time management is another thing to avoid complacency
I couldnt agree more. Past Questions are a must. Its practically unrealistic to cover the whole syllabus. Also, these questions are not normal textbuk questions. Your ability to think beyond the surface and what you are been taught makes a difference.
