I have families in the North and have been there many times. The mere fact that they practice one of the harshest religion on the planet makes me to doubt your statement! For example, they can marry several wives, even marry underage females. So what would prompt their men to homosexuality, as for the women, there has never been a shortage of men in the North so I also doubt that but of course there might be a few that are possessed by the homosexuality spirit but believe me it's far less than more Western conscious societies in the South.

1) lock your windows: it is not a new thing that the group operate by slicing the net of the window and puff out a powdery substance which will make residents sleep. 7) sleep everywhere; you are an easy target if you all sleep in a room. Sleep differently

9) be alert always...dont sleep like a donkey

10) above all be prayerful to whatever faith you believe in
