But monuments can also be erected for exceptional living persons. Mandela had one before he died.

However, what I find disgusting about this particular one is that someone is doing this for Goodluck Jonathan under whose watch, more than 13, 000 persons were killed, maimed or kidnapped and thousands displaced, living in fear. We should not also forget the job scam issue where some people died after haven paid #1000 each.

Another thing is you don't just wake up and start erecting a monument. In saner climes, people are commissioned to do it. This guy is just wasting his time cos no sane government would allow that monument in any part of their state.

This man has never conducted a local govt election since he came in as Governor. The local govt administration has been grounded without any meaningful progress due to lack of funds. Yet, they want to create additional local govts without recourse to how they will be funded.
