How on earth would someone have such unfettered access to money belonging to others?

If you want zero interest, go and borrow from your friends. If you want decent or low interest, go to a bank and present your collateral e.g.CofO. If you don't have any of these, then be ready to pay.

Reading through comments clearly show the reason our government feel they can push anything down our throat without resisting it. We are so comfortable with pains and illegality.

You have not experienced this people ways of doing business.
What on earth would make you see a loan that is less than 24hours overdue a bad one to the extent of blackmailing the person involved.
I am talking from my experience, those people are not doing the right thing. Blackmailing people for not paying a loan on time would not make you recover the money .
My loan was due on the 25th and they have been calling and sending text to me since the early hours of that day. They told me to pay up before 2pm which I told the lady to relax that I am working on getting the loan paid. They called again some minutes to 2 pm which I missed because of my busy schedule in the office. I then paid the money at about 2: 23 pm. It wasn't up to 10 minutes I paid that a friend called me that someone reported me to him that I was owing them some money and that I have not been responding to them ever since. I was so mad at them for divulging my financial dealings with a third party that wasn't aware of the deal.
Because of that, I decided not to pay the other loan from the same company that was overdue the same day demanding an explanation from them for their act over the one I just paid. I sent one of the customer care officer a text about my experience hoping he would just apologize and let it slide, the next thing I heard was insults and curses from him.
What I got the next day was a shocker. They sent messages to virtually all my contracts that I am a Thief and that i ran away with a company's money.
How on earth could they label me a thief for a loan I defaulted for less than 24 hours? Because of what they did, I decided not to pay that money until they apologised to me and retract those malicious message they used in blackmailing me.

Upon registration, they tell you that your contacts will be accessed for the purpose of evaluating your credit worthiness... They never tell you that your contacts will be messaged when you default... So where is the authorization there? Is there anyone who will borrow money knowing fully well that in the event of a default, he will be tagged a criminal?

Thats the problem we have with an average Nigerian. We don't know our rights.

The experience is terrible. It happened to me recently. The trauma is out of this world.
My father almost collapsed when he got the message.
All because of a loan that is barely 5 hours overdue.

Don't worry. Just look for one pastor and confined in him. Beg him to do church blessings for you in the vestry straight from the registry before going to your wedding reception.

She is not pregnant. The lady happens to be a neice to my Pastor's wife. The wife wanted her at first to go for another man but she refused and insisted on me. It's a long story though.
I will go for the registry option.Thanks

Well the protocol various from parish to parish. My former RCCG pastor said if you find and like yourselves, both of you should go and meet the pastor and inform him of your intentions. While in other parish, you the man will go to the pastor who'll now inform the said sister and ask if he should give you her number or advise her to go and pray.


As for wearing white for only virgins, I've never heard of that in RCCG before. And most of the sisters I withnessed their wedding wore White and I don't think they are virgins. So your pastor .... Hm

If they refuse to give you a letter, ( especially if you're not a worker) jejely go for your trad and do your registry, invite a pastor to do the blessings for you and carry your wife go house. Don't let anyone use man made laws to spoil your joy. God never set any such laws. They are man-made doctrines.

I am considering the final advise that you gave already. I am not just happy with such injustice and discouragement. Lesson learnt and we move!

1. What are the conditions attached to getting wedded in the Church as a member?

2. Is it true that before a brother talks to a lady he likes in the congregation, one has to inform the Pastor first?

3. Is it true that only Virgins are allowed to wear wedding gown? My Pastor told me he won't attend our wedding if it's a white wedding except traditional since the girl is not a virgin and as such defiled.

4. What can u do if my Pastor refuse to give me a 'introduction' letter meant for the Lady' s Pastor in another Province before our counselling starts?

I don't see it as making unemployment attractive. I will rather see it as making life easy for people in the midst of hardship occasioned by Covid-19. A lot of people would find their means of livelihood crippled, some would be made idle and redundant. The best thing is to cushion the effect on the people and their economy as a whole. That's how a government with value for citizens life and well-being should act.
