Please I want to ask a question, when one is feeling nauseous, is it wrong to suppress it? God that's what I do but I just want to know if it's OK. Besides I hate vomiting.
Also at 10weeks 5days, is it normal to spot cos I noticed last week, saw my doc and he gave me bed rest which I've tried observing but the spotting is on and off. However I have no cramp except I'm stressed. Should I be worried about the spotting? Thanks.

Eat early.
Drink fluids
Give in to your cravings.
Pregnancy has different phases, all dictated by what your body needs. If you're always thirsty it means your body needs water. If you're craving for meat, you're most likely low on iron, if you crave for sugar then your blood sugar may be low.
You can help yourself by bulking your meals with veggies. So if you really want to eat rice, take a little rice and bulk it with salad or vegetable soup. That way, you eat a lot but most of it is low calories.

Thanks for this but truthfully the thought and smell of veggies makes me nauseous too. Please what else can we use? Tried fruits too but get tired of it really.

Exactly how I feel some days. So I just decided to help myself by drinking lots of water and eat a lot so that I won't be nauseous because that vomiting, I don't like it at all so I suppress it with food and water.

Don't worry sis, it will be over soon. In my first trimester and didn't vomit but always tired and sleepy at work so I always get a nap when I'm free and a must nap at home immediately I get home. This made me active the next day and I tried eating so I don't vomit out feel sick. Wish you good luck and happy bumpy

I am not a good story teller but I will try and put it down anyways .
on the night of Friday the 15th of November my husband came home with pineapple as requested by me , I ate more than half of it not because I was craving for it but because I was just tired of being pregnant. No sooner had I taken than I started feeling funny. I soon started feeling guilty for wanting to trigger labor lol . In my mind I praised people who fell into labor through their own doings , I was like " people can be hard hearted Sha". lol

long story cut short, I started feeling little contractions in the midnight and I couldn't sleep well .

on the 17th it became stronger so I headed to my midwife's place but she was no where to be found . we went to the hospital where she works still we couldn't find her and by that time I was feeling teeth gnashing pains ! I had to be taken to a government teaching hospital thanks to a good man who advised us to do so . I got there and I had to be wheeled into the checking room . The doctors were few and I had to keep screaming for like 30 minutes before I was attended to . A doctor and some nurses came to ask WHY I WAS SCREAMING SO LOUD , I was asked to lift my cloth and they realized I was in the 2nd or third stage can't remember which stage. Immediately I was asked to stand up and walk to the delivery room . I was half way to the place before I felt a strong urge to push , I stopped and tried to stop the urge before I knew what was happening a very wicked and concerned doctor (lol) drew my hands and dragged me along while I was shouting at him for lacking Human sympathy . I got to the bed and on the first contraction I pushed and baby came out .

Alhamdulillah. I came back home with my Baby Girl the next day. Glory be to God

I put a call through to my Doc after missing my flow and he said I should come over to the hospital for drugs or buy folic acid
and come back in 2months time to reg for antenatal.
I hope I'm on track?

I think it's govt hospitals that insist on 12wks. Mine asked me when I wanted to start. Then I was still 7wks but ulcer landed me in hospital. I told him to decide and he said December but if any issue before then I should still report to hospital. Actually I landed back the next week and was diagnosed with severe malaria which he treated and gave me another appointment date. It's private anyway

That's surprising though coz mine is a private hospital too.

confirm from your doctor. Better safe than sorry. I was spotting at 10wks and reported to hospital. Scan was carried out and I was placed on progestin injection once wkly for 4wks. Asked to rest more and not list anything heavy. Happy bumping

Thanks, I will but all these doctors that like to give attitude cos one is not up to 12 weeks sha. It is well. They don't have a choice now but attend to me

cramps is OK cos I do av it too, i think mild spotting is OK too but u can check with ur doctor so as to b on the safer side. Senior and experience mama pls is mild spotting ok

I had my baby on the 24th of November 2019. I was scheduled for induction at 41 weeks if my baby didn’t come before then. I didn’t want to be induced because I learned that the pain is worse with induction and I’m such a wuss when it comes to pain. I tried everything to naturally induce, pineapple, long walks, activating labor exercises but nothing worked. I didn’t have the slightest pain, even throughout my pregnancy, I didn’t have braxon kicks or false labor just back pain when i sit so low. From 40weeks , I was checking in at the hospital every two days to monitor the baby and have my cervix checked and at 41 weeks, I was admitted to be induced. I was already dreading the pain and prayed to God not give me any pain I can’t bear. The induction tablet was inserted in my vagina and was expected to kickstart labor, I was tensed especially seeing other women in labour crying and screaming. I asked my friend that shey this is how I will be screaming too when the thing starts and the hospital said no epidural, I was like “my own have meet me today “.
Surprisingly, labor didn’t start, my friend had gone through the same process to have her baby so I asked her when she went into labor after insertion, she said it took a while that when the thing will hit me ehn, I will know. I was like Okay...
6 hours later, no sign of labour and they had to insert another... long story short, I was there for 3 days having the pills inserted every 6 hrs combined with taking several walks and dancing. I had a total of 6 pills inserted. It was emotionally draining especially seeing other women come in and leaving me there to have their babies. I was also tired of all the insertions and cervix checks. The last attempt was Pitocin drip, I had heard that pitocin causes excruciating pain as soon as passed but I didn’t mind, I was already tired. They passed the drip, Pitocin no work o, I even slept and woke up. After a while some doctors and nurses walked up to me, checked cervix, still closed. They told me I would have to undergo CS for the baby’s safety and I agreed immediately. I told my husband and my mum. My mum was trying to calm me saying I shouldn’t be scared, I was like no shaking jor, I’m not scared. I was wheeled into the theatre within 15 mins, the fear that grabbed me as soon as we entered ehn. I was alone but I had called my friend and she was still on her way. They first chook me about 6 needles on my spine(maybe I’m exaggerating lol) but I kept telling myself that if i move, that’s the end o. I can’t explain how I felt after the anesthesia started kicking in, helpless to say the least, I managed to tell the Anesthetist that I was hungry, he said “right now? no no no”. I was placed on oxygen and felt a little better. I suddenly felt nothing but closed my eyes cos of fear. My friend had come in and I heard her ask me if i can feel anything, that was when I opened my eyes, I said no. They brought out my beautiful baby looking like her dada, cleaned her and put her on my chest, best feeling ever. Nine days post delivery and I can barely feel my CS pain.
I wish everyone here safe delivery of their LOs and send baby dusts to TTC mamas. May God answer all our prayers.

Saw a doctor and she gave me Follic acid. She asked me to come back in 9 weeks time.
Please is the follic acid alone ok for me? should i be worried if i have no preg symptoms?

Firstly i give God all the glory. I started this TTC journey in 2016, the year I got married but joined this forum in 2017, thanks to one of my church member who introduced me. By January 2017, i started seeing a gynecologist and he prescribed OVACARE and M2TONE to me and DH also did sperm count and it was low. He was asked to take MANIX. We kept taking the drugs but wasn't seeing any result from the drug and the gynecologist seem not to be following up with us whenever we have an appointment with him. That got me angry and had to ask him if i should do a hormonal profile. He accepted and i did it on the 9th of November 2017; that's 9 months after seeing him. Results showed High prolactine, LH and LSH. He then prescribed BROMEGON which i took but it made me nauseous. I told the doctor and he told me to reduce the dosage (I was taking 2 tablets daily), i started taking half daily but some mamas here told me to go for VITEX. I didn't cos i thought it was really expensive. DH and i sowed a seed in RCCG camp at the end of 2017. We kept praying and believing God.

In February 2018, I went for HSG and the result states that both tubes were blocked and i decided to do it again in April of same year for clarity and it came out as left tube being blocked while the right was partially open. Anyways, showed my GYN and he said i'll do a tubal cannulation (Tubal flushing) for 85k. I was shocked and made enquiries for the price, was told it's 25k around my area. We got fed up in June 2018, left the GYN and started seeing another at Ojo, Alaba. I evetually paid 19k for the flushing after he prescribed ZINC, SELENIUM, VITAMIN E for i and DH. Still in 2018, I decided to start buying baby clothes with faith and prayed about it. I was again reminded about VITEX and MACA from FertilitycareAfrica on instagram. Contacted them and bought the drugs, took them but kept praying cos now i knew it was a spiritual battle.

In 2019 i got more but didn't finish it so I stopped cos i was tired of these drugs and expenses. Then in July i went back for another tubal cannulation but didn't complete the procedure cos of the excruciating pains. At this moment, i gave up on medication and doctors cos i was told the next step was IVF and I wasn't ready to spend such money for that. I then went to CLAM for prayers to fight it spiritually but after the prayers, i wasn't thinking of having children anymore but decided to start praying for mercy upon my life, DH, my home and for a life that will grant me life in heaven, child or no child.

At this moment i decided to take my mind off pregnancy and focused all on God and kept asking for mercy. However DH wanted us to go to the General Hospital but when the day for aunty Flo was supposed to come, it didn't show and i wanted to fast and pray, i decided to carry out the home test and got a positive result staring back at me. Wasn't sure, so i went to the hospital for a blood test and it came out positive.

I DIDN'T PRAY LIKE OTHERS.
DIDN'T FOLLOW UP ON MEDICATION FOR MORE THAN 7 MONTHS.
DIDN'T PUT ALL MY HOPE ON MEDICATION.

However, it was the mercy of God that found me cos He said He'll show mercy on whom He will. Has God forgotten you? No. Rather He is working behind the scene for your good and at the end, He'll put a very big smile on your face and your family.
Have peace with your husband and people around you, take your medication. Most importantly, pray to God, let go and Let God.
I pray and sprinkle loads of baby dust on everyone and I know that Our God that fights behind the scene will continually fight for you and give you that joy in Jesus name, Amen.
