Tallesty1: Can you shed a little more light on the emboldened please? A man's duty is to provide for his family isn't it? So how does the woman's employment have a part to play? The woman may* decide* to get a job and share her income with her husband but it's the man's duty whether she has a job or not. So I repeat, her employment doesn't matter. A man s to provide for his family whether or not the wife is employed. |

AirSultan: Miss, offences taken. I wont trip for this but i assure you, this wont go down well. Excuse me, she posted a thread with a picture of a woman bathing her child in harsh conditions outside saying that if no one bathe in such way person isn't Nigerian. What does that mean? Take your offense to the op young man. That picture is a sign of poor living. We know those who do such are short on money and living unfair lives. The saying if no one went through that then person isnt Nigerian. So it means all Nigerians went through that? Thats the question i asked and I'm yet to get a response. So why deceive ourself and laugh over what is not supposed to be laughed at? You want to quote me? Get your head out of the box and think wider. |

1. Men marry late because they just want to enjoy the single life
2. Why would a man get married without income? Ha
3. A man's income must be able to satisfy himself and extra 2 people (at least) conveniently before getting married.
4. Why would a woman with an Msc not have a job? However her employment status doesn't mean anything in marriage it's that of the man that matters |

Secondly, how do you expect me to say "Java 2 Micro Edition" when most Nigerians refer to it as simply "java Phone"?
Thank you. You could have said J2ME. Admit you didn't know and now you have learned. We learn everyday just incase of next time. |

LuveU2: Pls the non nigerian woman named vinshu should stop speaking for Nigerian women.
She has insulted nigerian women in one thread.
Something tells me she is upto something; probably she wants to cause division between the men and women of this forum and in extension Nigeria.
She needs to be closely monitored
I dont support the nonsense she concocted. It is false, preposterous and very selfish thinking.
She talks like someone insane. You don't talk online you write! If only you were that smart |

therealMcCain: with all due respect, i think you are poor, i might be wrong but i stand to be corrected.
Living in a rented apartment isnt a crime and it musnt be a 3bed room apartment. In saner climes where there is an effective rail, water and taxi system, why should I buy a car?
Do you know what it takes to buy a plot of land in Abuja or even rent a 3 bedroom apartment in Abuja? so someone who works in abuja shouldnt get married till he has a 3 bedroom apartment or a car abi? some self contain apartment in abuja is above 400k
what you should advocate for ought to be that the man must have proven to have been taking care of himself successfully and the ability to take care of someone else. by successfully, we mean meeting his basic needs which isnt limited to food, clothing, accomodation, immediate siblings etc Alright. |

iPhone is not an OS. The name of the OS is iOS. Java is not an OS it's a programing language. The platform the phones run on is called J2ME.
Back to the topic,

Kgdavid: Sometimes I wonder if it is compulsory to express an opinion on this nairaland. Op calls herself an economist and yet presents such a poor argument for her assertion.
Hey argument is that getting married increases the burden on a man and bringing kids into the world under such conditions would increase poverty. I wonder if this Vinshu or Vinshi person really couldn't think through more practical solutions or simply got bored and decided to seek for attention?
Here's a five minute solution that makes far more sense:
How about a young man and woman get married, maintain a small one bedroom that would suffice for a bachelor, practice birth control, and work and save together? Ms economist can't you see a multiplier effect there, as costs are minimized and income streams expanded?
Nairaland is so annoying. Can you be less hypocritical? Did I tell you that having children brings poverty? Having children increases your expenses! And if your income doesn't increase to match up your expenses, it becomes loss. And excess loss results in bankruptcy. It's simple accounting. Read again and apply wisdom and understanding. Why work and save together? A man's duty is to provide for his wife not two of them |

AbdQoyyum: I totally disagree ... d fact dt dey practice their culture doesn't mean dey ain't learned.. jus lik d Brazilians dt goes half unclad during carnivals ..does dt mean dey r illiterate....? You see, culture itself is illiterate. Who created the culture? Illiterate ancient perverted men in the 16th Century way back. How would full grown adults who will call them selves virtuous women strip half unclad in the name of culture? In 2016? It's a primitive shallow minded person that does that. It's one thing to know 1 + 1 = 2 it's another thing to know when you apply 1 + 1 = 2. Wisdom is not the same as knowledge. They may have knowledge with their Bsc and PhD but lack wisdom. An illiterate lacks wisdom. So again it's illiteracy |

English Version: When you have enough money! |
Romance › Re: Marriage Is NOT A Partnership by Vinshu(op): 8:18pm On Mar 20, 2016 |
tommychow: First, I doubt you're really who you say you are. This is most probably a Nigerian chick going incognito to support women being completely selfish with her possessions and relying on her husband for his.
Second, if you're really not a Nigerian, its seems unnatural that you'd come here and try TOO HARD to convince people far away from you about your views. I read your comments about how things in "your country" are better and how you have a "good job" and make "more money". Seriously, what right do you think you have coming down here to castigate Nigerian men when your NOT gonna marry or date one and will probably never meet one.......except you're really a Nigerian female?
Another thing, you quote the Bible and then go to say you're an "atheist". Most atheists don't wanna justify Christianity by reading the Bible to approve enlightenment. When they do quote the Bible, its always things to use against Christians to prove logical, moral and scientific flaws. I had enough atheist friends, I schooled in UK. It's odd that you're using the Bible to prove your points (which contradicts being an atheist)...except you're a typical religious Nigerian female who knows her way around the Holy Book.
Too many red flags. Out of 38 mentions I filtered yours out and I'm replying yours. Firstly, I owe you no proof or explanation about who I am! In the course of my thread I might say a little about myself that does not mandate me to elaborate or shed light on my personality Secondly, I have been on this forum for close to 4 years (two monikers) so it's not today I relate with Nigerians online and offline. Even this moniker it's close to 2 years on nairaland. So it is at par with my first point, I owe nobody an explanation. Focus on the thread not who i am. You can talk about the thread not the poster. That's why many fail exams and tests. Thirdly, I am not convincing anybody on anything and for your info, this thread was copied and pasted from an indian forum which i posted about 8 months ago. Did the Indians say I was indian? Yeah they criticised me just like the Nigerians so it's not new. I don't care. I've shed my view it's up to you to agree or disagree not munching on whether or not vinshu Is nigerian. Last year one Nairalander said I was from Russia that he knows me accusing me of scam. So everyone is free to a say anything. #FreeSpeech So Young man, you could share your view on the thread so others can learn even I can learn perhaps I'm wrong not policing my identity. It's not your concern just as who you are and where you are from is no concern of mine. |
