Peter Obi though, he is thrift and smacks of a corrupt free politician (as far as I know), lacks the political sagacity to galvanize the votes of the southerners in a national election. He is better with a given parastatal appointment than a national elective position. I'll prefer prof Soludo (for his economic insights) or go to the south west. Spot on. Boo would have been good as an adviser and not as a VP candidate. This slot should have been given to Chukwuma Soludo. That's one power house brain we need to unleash prosperity on the nation. |

notttty: You are very wrong on this.. .lemme school you a bit and maybe u will understand. Yes other countries airport or either privatized or concessions and they are getting good result, we all agree to this but in the case of Nigeria, it can't work because of our government insincerity. On average faan generate eight billion naija in a month and collect maximum 4billion naira not because they can't collect all the sum generated but because of govt interference. By the type you pay over heads and contractors, what's left to save for maintaining the airport. We are all aware of the money the federal govt release for maintain and upgrading the airport, it was diverted by the former minister and the money was and rubish was done and it couldn't stand or rather made the airport worse. The rest was used to buy bullet proof BMW by the former minister and that's why she left. We all know that story. When chidoka came we thought oh well it's a new era but instead it was worse. From staff strength of 4,800 he employed his stooges and we rose to 6000 all those he brought were on big levels and that's more money going into salaries and all. This are all before the introduction of TSA. Fast-forward to 2015. The minister talked about concession and promised no job will be lost except those above 30 years in service and all the airports will be concessions and people that need to leave will be paid and younger people will be employed. That said we were waiting and instead of walking the talk, they went behind and employed over 2000 withing 2015 and august 10 2017. What do u call that? We were struggling with paying salaries and pensions and you brought in more people to overwhelm the already thin collection we gat. Still we maintain our cool. Now from all the 22 airports, you decided on your own that only two are good to be concessioned that the rest can't attract investors which are Abuja and Lagos airport. What will now happen to the remaining 20? From lir little savings the minister squandered so much money to upgrade kaduna airport giving over blotted contracted to his Connie's, we kept quiet. Now after upgrading the airport to your own taste why can't you try and use it as a case to of concession and run it to see if it's profitable? Why remove the two most profiting airports for concession? Tell me where the sincerity is. He went ahead and upgrade Katsina airport to international airport but he didn't look at the traffic there but instead wasted another billions just because it's his home town. Faan has spend over 31 billion to upgrade the MMIA to ICAO standard in the last 8months to enable us meet the international standard and ll dues collected because the airlines claim they can't lay some dues due to the fact we don't have that ICAO certificate that satisfy us as an international standard airport. Faan did all that from her pockets. Still without government intervention funds. Nkw you brought in your friends from turkey to run our airport, how good is Turkish airport. May I remind u that as at 2009 serika the minister of aviation was a contractor to faan. Do I need to mention that he was the one that handled anambra international airport. Yes he was the one stella odua have the contract. Judge honestly how well did he do it? Till date ARIK AIR is owing faan about 13billion which we can't collect still because of their paddy paddy dealings with the government before it was liquidated. HAK AIR owned by HADI SERIKA os ping faan. He maintain a private jet hangar beside QUITS AVIATION. how honest can such a man be. We are open for concession cos it's going to be a win win for us but we must see the sincerity. You can't concession MMIA that bring in 75% of faan revenue and leave the rest. We say no. Yes you are right govt has no business in business but that's other countries cos if we allow this thieves they will sell it all and fly private jets and u and I trust me will see the end of this airport. What has ever been concessioned in Nigerian that didn't get worse? They will concession but not until they come out transparent and we see their hands and it's not gonna be just two but all the airports. That's just few that I can type. .. Point if corecgion guys. After FIRS faan has the highest number of efficient workers. You want to debate? Ministry of character commision can help u. The facts are there to see. Staff audit 2016 report will help u. Takia in your judgement. FYI am an accountant working with faan. I'm chartered and I'm on top of my job. Thank you for your analysis. Nice to have an inside view of things. However, all the points you made in your submission is the more reason why the airports should be concessioned. Both Faan and the FG have proved incompetent in managing the airports. Let me ask you...if the airports were your personal property, would you manage it the way Faan is doing presently? Let's not be emotional about this, the airports are in a terrible state, this model of the government running the airport has not worked and we should try private sector management instead. |

Now we know the detractors amongst us. For years, all these government agencies have been managing these airports, yet, all we have to show for it is serious ineptitude, gross decline in customer services, derelict infrastructures and massive corruption.
Time and time again, the Nigerian government and it's agencies has shown it has no capacity to run any venture or business. It's time to concession the airport now, and hand it over to someone that can effectively manage it, render top notch services to the users of the airport and even pay concession fees and taxes to government, yet, these incompetent government workers are there complaining.
Anyone who is conversant with the airports in Nigeria would agree with me that the best airport we have today is the MMA2 and that is because that airport was concessioned to Bicortney!
Any government worker that intends to block this should be sacked with no gratuity! After all, the government taking the decision to concession is your employer, that's got the power to hire and fire! |

Apoztl3: The Truth behind Operation Python Dance.
Let us not be fooled. This operation is not targeted on Nnamdi Kanu as it seems at the moment. The siege on the Palace of Kanu is just a diversion to the intent of the operation. If they want Kanu they wouldn't have come blowing siren on their way coming and would have gone in and take him and before ipob forms a ground they are gone.
Let me explain. Read carefully!!
You are also aware that all the Security heads in the Country are from the North and hence any security meeting concerning anything in the country is a decision of the North. The igbos can never know anything discussed in any National security meeting.
Their Youth have issued a quit Notice which will be enforced come October 1st. The Nigeria government run by Northerners knew very well that once their youth attack the igbos on October 1st as they instructed them, there will be a reprisal attack in the South east.
Hence they have sent troops to South east in preparation of October 1st massacre in the North to stop our reprisal attacks and use it as an opportunity to kill Biafrans and quench the agitators. They are making it look like they came for Kanu now. This is just to divert our attention from the real mission or why else will they sent troop to peaceful civilians. Armies don't go for arrest. Police do, so they didn't come for Kanu now. Armies don't station against a peaceful people, they are only sent to stop violent attacks thus they didn't come for ipob but why are they here?
Their mission against Kanu and ipob is in October.
When the reprisal attack will start, they will apply the tactics used against the Shittes Muslims in the North to kill Ipobs and arrest Kanu or kill him. They forgot that Python doesn't dance in igbo land.
As it stands now, there first intent is to provoke the ipob to pick up arms against the military so to have a ground to send more troops to the region. If this fails, the plan B will be Oct 1st attack.
If their mission is not as mentioned above, why not sent the troops to North to protect our people come Oct 1st?
Make no mistake, they are here to kill us. This is a call to war. In as much as I condemn war, I plead on all Igbos who love their life to vacate the North before October 1st. Don't be fool.
Biafra is the only Hope for the Igbos, argue on your wall if you don't believe it. Can the DSS Please mark this guy out for making hate speech. Politics › Re: Misau: IG Of Police N10Billion Monthly Bribe Allegation Debated On Channels TV by vintage01: 8:05pm On Aug 29, 2017 |
Nigerians are quite ignorant. I am not too surprised, we are all a product of the failed Nigerian education system. Distilling issues has become a big challenge for so many people. This is neither a PDP or APC issue. This issue speaks to the very core of the rot in the Police Force. This practice predated the PDP or the APC, and it has been used by successive IGPs to corner billions for personal use.
The Senator must be commended for bringing to the fore, this particular issue. Make no mistake, the Senator as a former police officer, knows what he is talking about. Now, let me try to enlighten people on the crux of issue.
Given the negative security situation in the country, businesses and most rich people, require extra police services as personal armed escorts, to carry out their daily activities. A typical big company may require the services of minimum of 15 armed policemen. This should give us an idea of the scope of these deployments.
When the requests for these policemen are made, the police force would only accede to the request, after certain amount is paid by these companies. Trust me, these policemen do not come cheap. The police force usually collect millions before these deployments are made. Even at that the police force would always request these companies to make monthly payments for the services of the deployed officers. Guess what? The police force collects cash from these companies and do not issue any invoice for the money paid.
Now what the senator is saying is that......all these cash payments made for all these deployed officers trickle up to the IGP. I know for sure that when a new IGP is appointed, the first thing he gets to do is to withdraw the services of these deployed officers, and the companies would be speedily invited to "revalidate" their services through the payment of millions of naira. If you doubt what I am talking about, check the books of a typical Nigerian company, you will scream when you see how much has been spent on security services, with no invoices or documents to back up the transaction. This is not limited to the police alone, it cut across all the security agencies.
It beats me hollow, that the Police PRO can come on live TV and lie about this entrenched practice. Now, that the Senator has exposed this scam, the FG should commence an extensive audit on the police force, to determine the extent of this fraud. I am certain, the country will be stunned at the extent of billions being talked about.
Enough said. |

The other robber was flanking and sustaining fire. So he could come out of the car and cover his role (the flanking robbers role) in the operation which was to acost the gang leader get the money from the trailed victim.
The flanking robbers mistake was thinking all in the room had been gunned down, to hos dismay.., which shows another good strategy from the gallant officer by playing dead. All I observed is this dude contracted Julius Berger to repair Old and New GRA roads, fixed the street lights on Aba Road, reconstructing Trans Amadi Road ( this I must really commend him for, due to the strategic nature of that road) and he his building a Pleasure Park at Airforce Junction. Objectively assessed, a Governor with an IGR of about 15 billion per month ought not be called 'Mr Project' for delivering these cosmetics projects. The painful aspect is the bad sanitation in the town and the Governor is so unconcerned about it, probably because he has handed over that space to his ineffectual and incompetent PDP Chairman.
