There are many ways you can get information about people. What is needed is God's grace and let the government do the needful.
Personal safety is priority.
1 Scan or eye sweep for any strange person looking at you before you enter your car. / Take a quick look of people you about joining in a taxi.
2 Check through the rear mirror to classify cars at your back to know if you are been followed.
3 Change your direction if you suspect you are been followed and call police public number immediately and state your location and vivid description of car/s following you without panicking.
4 Endeavor to memorize registration number of taxi before you enter. Or after negotiation rush to the back and have a quick check of plate number before you enter. This will make the driver think twice if he/she have any funny idea. Numbers can easily be send out to a love one immediately you enter the cab.
5 Try and work with someone on a lonely walk way.

Tribalism. I'm in a dept dominated by yoruba guys. They speak language in the office like no man's business. even the so called 'head of unit' uses yoruba to communicate official things to his clique. i've complained and nothing has being done about. i dont really know what to do.
May be you should learn. Same things in our Owerri branch office it sometime make me sick. It looks strange whenever you tell someone there you do not speak Igbo.

Looting Nigeria's common wealth u say! I still can't understand if that is actually true. And that mentality is actually what the APC used in deceiving us... None of this looters have ever been found guilty all since, so what are we saying.. Since we all accuse them of loot, but at that time Nigeria economy experience a growth, standard of living was okay... But what do we have today... I really think corruption itself starts in the APC regime, if baba cannot account for the billions he meet in account... SMH.. Let's really define corruption :it is a system where only the elites enjoy and are able to travel aboard for medical checkup... Which is very high in this regime, bt during PDP an average Nigeria can afford a medical checkup oversea.
Oga, grow up and think. You forgotten that whatever you do today manifest tomorrow. Bad economic Nigerian is experiencing today is clear manifestation of what happened years back. Ogbeni, go and boil rice chop.

I am proudly Yoruba, no apologies! I however stoutly condemn Nairaland for reducing this forum into a battleground for ethnic warlords instead of a parliament for the unheard populace. Shame on you moderators! You have so framed the drug trade as the only thing Igbos do outside Nigeria...there are millions of Igbos doing well in business, sports, entertainment and the academia, let's shift focus to things that reduce our national fault lines, rather than expanding them...e don do abeg! I repent of my past bigotries, old things are passed away...
I was moved by your write up, but i believed people sometimes do this to ease stress .

@OP you managed to catch my apt attention when u said u switched on the light to see clearly what was attacking you...so you people sleep with electricity ?

Did this happen in Nigeria or you are abroad?

I didn't believe you at first until u said u removed the bulb during your revenge mission...so true true u people use to have light?

Or do you run your generator till day break? I know some people do this.

Pls explain because for I find it hard to believe that there can be electricity on 2 different days in a week with 2 different light dependent pranks...that's too much of a coincidence...

Its either you are lying or Barth Nnaji is back.
Abeg, where you dey live? It's no story that many homes in Nigeria lives with stable elctricity.
Crime › Re: Four Car Owners Kidnapped On Kaduna-Abuja Highway. Photos by virginchaser(m):
That route have always been dangerous. What do we need? Well kitted police force. Plant DSS boys in many of the villages along and inland of Abuja Kaduna route. Nigerians should come together and always report suspected criminals. Parents, chief and traditional rulers should report their wayward subject. People did not turn criminals over night. Lots of decisions lies on government's hand. Innocent must not always suffer for state degradation.

I am sad.

GOD IS GOOD
Sometimes last year, i board Ajah to Portharcourt, i chose a sit behind the driver. After Benin, through the mirror i noticed driver eyes closing intermittently . I woke him up 3 times. I regretted not informing there management when my junior sister called me that my favorite transport company had accident along Benin Ore express and lost about 16 lives.
They need to ensure drivers have a good place to rest after a long hour trip . Any driver that refuses to comply should be sanctioned. There management must have safety classes every 3 days.

Who cares then, all that matter was the appointment letter.
