Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Please I Need Your Advice by Virginprince: 10:28am On Jun 27, 2021
sammyj490:
Please forgive my errors, I'm not a professor in English language, we just de try.

I completed my nysc program last year, life didn't actually go they way i thought it would, i spent bout 6 months searching for employment, i finally got a job in a bank microfinance organisation..i was able to secure the job through a sister.

Being working there now for almost 8 month now, truth be told the salary is not worth the stress and hazard we face in the field, apart from not having time for anything else because i have to get to work 7:30am and close 6-7pm.

The salary is 65k but after removing from tax, pension and all,my take home is 54k.

Now I'm considering resigning, I've started learning graphic designing on YouTube, so that i won't be idle, I'm planning to save up for some months before resigning.

Apart from the job being too stressful, I've had alot of witch craft and crazy experiences, trust me its not being easy.

Please am i making the best decision resigning because i don't have any other job, my PlanB is the graphic designing i just started learning, spent most of my savings purchasing a brand new laptop.

I don't know with resigning will be ok considering the situation of our country.

Please advice a brother.Thank you

Please do not quit your job because you just started learning a skill you have'nt gain mastery in. Life is not easy out there, if you quit your job for skill you just started learning, you might get frustrated on the long run. Make sure you get to the level you have start making money from the skill you are learning before you quit your job.

Politics / Re: 30,000 Salary Earners: How Do You Cope? by Virginprince: 8:46am On Apr 05, 2021
Franckelv230:
Going by the inflation, recession and whatever thing they use to qualify this hardship we are facing in this country at the moment, how do you most salary earners cope?

When I say salary earners, I mean those earning 50k, 40k, 30k, 25k and some even 25k to 10k. Not you that's bagging 100k and above, you be oil worker jor.

So, I see most families where the man being the head of the family, is a private school teacher. Of course we all know how much they are payed nothing. Same with most company or factory casual workers. How do you guys manage to cope with family at this crucial time?

It's not like I'm earning big or own any business, but one good job in month will cover me for some times. Since I'm not married yet, it just myself and my aged mum that I think of.

So how do you manage your 30k that it will last you for a month, Assuming your extra teaching after school will cover your transportation to and from working place?

Lol... I earn #15000 monthly as a secondary school teacher, I used almost 40% of the salary for feeding every month. As for me, I don't leave beyond my means, since I earned a meager salary, i eat meager food, wear lousy cloth and leave a lousy life. Hmmm, what else can I say? Life is frustrating...

I feel so sorry for people living in Nigeria. Not only are there no jobs/opportunities, social safety net is non-existent.

Just so draining. I feel compelled to do a little giveaway now. Just a little token to tide by, as I pray God heals my ancestral land of terrible, terrible leaders/ people

As you have put smile on my face this early morning, God bless you everything that concern you Sir. Thank you very much

Slimslimqq:
top of the day everyone,

am here to share the good news that I got a good paying job today at Lekki, as a business development manager.

I am sharing this news for those who have been following my threads for job search, and personal issues, and i got the job from job and vacancies section on nairaland. For everyone that advised and reached out to me, God bless you all. I am very very happy, 20% of my first salary will be used for giveaway here on nairaland.
I was told I will get my offer letter in my mail on Friday, so I will know when to resume fully, probably Monday.

My only fear is the transportation here from mushin to Lekki daily(1200). I would be glad if there's anyone on island preferably Lekki, who can help me with accommodation for 2/3months.

thanks...

Romance / Re: Male Virginity (Diamonds In The Rough) by Virginprince: 8:53am On Jan 08, 2021
The way some men make guys feels as though they are weak for been a virgin is just saddening. Is there any theory that says virginity is only for female? Even if there is, i care less, all i know is that no man will make me feel less of myself for doing what i feel is right, i won't bow to peer pressure because only weak men do.
Appreciate yourself if you are virgin because keeping oneself in a world filled with lust and immorality is not a mean feat.

ngadaAwo:
Trust me i stopped judging suicide people long ago.

depression is deadly and only few can handle it well.
when it sets in, nothing matters to you anymore and the only taught will be to end your misery because at that point in time life itself becomes a punishment.

I passed through such and I can relate well.
but at that point in life, stop thinking about yourself immediately and think about the few people that cares about you genuinely and how they'll feel then.
with that you'll have the courage not to disappoint them especially your mother who might not take it well.

best way to defeat suicidal taught is to think selflessly and that point.
well it's not even easy.

RIP dude

You are right Sir. This year, i was so mired with murky water of depression, nothing in the world matters to me anymore(not even the numerous spiritual/soul lifting songs i always listen to when I'm down), all i could think of was death. But i couldn't kill myself because i always think about the irreplaceable loss my death will bring to my sexagenarian parent (though one of them contributed to my depression) and siblings.

Life is really frustrating may God grant us all our good heart desire.

Health / Aftermath Of Treating Appendicitis by Virginprince: 2:24pm On Nov 22, 2020
Last month, i was diagnosed with Appendicitis(Acute) though it was treated with antibiotics. But i haven't been the same again.

I hardly go two days without experiencing mild stomach pain (the pain comes after i drink water) coupled with noise in my belly.

Has anyone experienced same thing after treating Appendicitis?

Romance / Re: My Girlfriend Is Pregnant, Please What Should I Do by Virginprince: 9:00am On Oct 16, 2020
Op, you are being selfish for telling your girlfriend to abort a baby. Abortion comes with a lot of risks, what if your girlfriend died in the process or she lost her womb? Please never opt for abortion, i believe you two are adult as such, you should take responsibility for your actions. You saying you are not financially okay shows how irresponsible you are, you are not financially okay but you allow your testosterone to dictate your action.

Buckle down and start preparing for a soul. Daddy in the making.
