Reinforcement is a different thing entirely and has no business to do with hardcore filling....

Reinforcement in buildings are majorly carried out with reinforced steel bars(iron rods) in order to carry a projected load or increase its capacity for handling more loads... This can further be made a beam or column in a structure.

A Hardcore is a layer of a building immediately after filling. It comprises of stones, boulders as the case may be. Materials used in hardcore includes broken blocks, bricks, larger sides of granites, etc.

So tell us, how is it an alternative to reinforcement?

Thanks for ur input sir, if you understands building designs/construction very well, you'll know before now that a structural drawings isn't required for bungalow design except for high rise buildings. A structural drawings is only required when your designs have a suspended floor which maybe 1-deck, 2-deck, 3-deck etc.... Also, to ascertain the type of foundation to use on any project, there's what they called Soil Test which can be carried on site and a structual drawings doesn't provide such details... Thanks
