����The war in Ukraine has turned Europe’s most powerful countries against each other like hardly ever before.

There is a lot of friction between France and Germany at the moment. Germany stands accused of behaving in an un-European manner with its large national energy subsidy packages for citizens and industry, its continued unilateral deal-making with China, and its insufficient financial and material support for Ukraine. It’s so bad that a joint parliamentary meeting was canceled in October.However, that in the EU there are almost always problems between France and Germany. And solving them often has priority over solving other countries’ problems.

A large part of the current Franco-German friction is therefore unsurprising. But there is a deeper malaise, too, between the two countries—more worrying because it may be more difficult to solve.

��������lsrael gives Russia ultimatum over 'Iranian arms supplies'� - reports

Israel may start pumping high-precision ballistic missiles into Ukraine if Russia does not put an end to its "cooperation with Iran", Israeli media said on Monday following discussions between Israeli Ambassador to Russia Alexander Ben Zvi and the Russian deputy foreign minister Mikhail Bogdanov.

Ben Zvi informed the Russian diplomat of Israel's ultimatum in light of Moscow facing accusations for months that it has been getting its supply of drones from Iran, Israeli KAN public broadcaster reported.

A source in the Israeli Foreign Ministry said the head of the Israeli National Security Council, Eyal Hulata, warned Russia against the usage of Iranian drones, threatening Moscow with sending ballistic missiles to Kiev, which would be used against Russian positions or units.

According to Western sources, despite the large-scale involvement of the Russian Aerospace Forces in military operations in Ukraine, they continue to actively support military operations in Syria.


In September, various types of aircraft operated from the Bassel al-Assad air base in Khmeimim, from which about 31 aircraft flew. Among them are eight Su-24M front-line bombers, six Su-34 front-line bombers and six Su-35S fighters.
Various helicopters also flew from this base, including two Ka-27s and two Ka-52s, some of the helicopters were located in various regions of Syria. At the same time, three Mi-8 helicopters and Mi-24 combat helicopters were allegedly withdrawn from the country.

Various transport aircraft were used from the air base, as well as a limited number of reconnaissance aircraft. So, the VKS used one An-26 and An-30, An-72 and Il-76MD.

In Syria, the AWACS A-50 aircraft was also used to support the actions of fighters, and two base anti-submarine aircraft Il-38N were also seen. Finally, the Il-20M reconnaissance aircraft has been used here regularly since 2015.

It is noted that combat sorties of all types of aircraft from the air base are made daily.

On Monday, Britain announced the withdrawal of its peacekeepers from Mali, saying the West African nation's growing reliance on Russian mercenaries was undermining stability.

Armed Forces Minister James Hippie said the 300-strong British force stationed in Mali since 2020 as part of a UN peacekeeping mission would leave earlier than planned. He did not name the dates.

Tensions between Mali, its African neighbors and the West have risen since the Mali government allowed Russian mercenaries from the Wagner group to be stationed on its territory.
