could you please help enquire what hospital they told they were going, I have 2 correspondence from them, one with Novoa Medical Centre and the other is women health centre, its confusing which of the hospital to tell them she's headed. Thanks and expecting to hear from you ASAP

One is the personalized letter from the doctor accepting you as a patient, the other is simply a list of prices that you can use to estimate your budget or if you are questioned regarding prices at the interview.

Hey mamas and papas, I have read quite alot from Part 1, though i jump some pages, my wife is due in January. we have already paid the enrolment fee for Doctores Para ti. I need your candid advice - is it safe to pay all the fees for the package in advance and get evidence of payment to show at POE.

Prepayment is not a requirement, it is for patients that want to use a receipt of payment as their proof of economic solvency at the POE. You can choose to pay in person at the moment of your first consultation. Pre-payment is an optional service offered for your convenience.

The number of Nigerian patients arriving in El Paso has increased considerably due to the situation in Houston. It is recommended you contact a Physician to confirm that he/she will accept you BEFORE making the trip.

Texas mums, please how long do you typically wait to undergo a scheduled 'normal' CS? I'm having a baby in Houston and the Dr tells me that I have to wait 39 weeks, that this is the law in Texas, except there are complications or specific reasons that warrant bringing out the baby earlier.

Thanks.

39 weeks is the protocol as advised by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology it is not a law in Texas Law, it is required nationwide unless there is a medical reason. Any doctor delivering the baby before 39 weeks without a reason may risk losing his/her license.

This is not true. I did a vbac in New jersey and I paid the price for vaginal delivery. Unless if you are telling me that it is different for Houston.

Doctors charge more for VBAC as well. Typically more expensive than what they would charge for CS. Not uncommon for the price to be the cost of CS x 2.

Was your doctor a resident or private doctor? Doctors are required to be with you at the onset of labour, this is why most private doctors do not perform VBAC and why they charge a significantly higher price if they do.

Exactly, best approach is to find a VBAC doctor and he/she will tell you which hospital to contact. The 3 common VBAC hospitals in HOuston are Ben Taub; Texas Children's Hospital and Womans Hospital of Texas. (The hospitals in the medical centre sha) but the fee cant be compared in any way with HNWMC, Oakbend etc,.. they are quite more expensive. TCH sent me a quote of about $9000 for hospital fee alone which i am still contesting, cos their mail stated it was hospital and doctor but when i called the lady said, it's for hospital alone. WOmans is $5102 VD and $7959 CS exclusive of Ped and Anaesthetic. lipsrsealed

All hospitals DO NOT accept VBAC patients. SOme doctors do it but the hospitals they are affiliated with do not. Some don't do it at all..If you happen to be scheduled for a CS with them and you go into labour on or before the CS date then you may just VBAC but most hospitals and doctors will out rightly tell you they do not offer VBAC.

There are ICAN groups on facebook for different parts of the US. they are a movement canvasing for less CS and more vaginal delivery. they render help and assistance to mothers seeking to VBAC as well. Houston is not a VBAC friendly area. Every point , i agree with you sis

So even worse. Doctors generally don't do VBAC and if you are lucky to find a doctor, the hospital may not accept the procedure.

Hello house, please I want to clarify something here...is it true that vbac is not done in houston? . I just stumbled on this gist and I am really surprised. I've even done 1 vbac, this is my 2nd I'm attempting but a lady with a similar story here said she wasn't able 2 get it. If anyone has had any experience with vbac in Houston, kindly share. Thanks
P.'s vbac is vaginal birth after cs

VBAC is not an issue with the hospital, all hospitals will allow VBAC. The issue is doctors will not perform VBAC because of the requirements placed upon them such that they have to charge a lot more than a Cesarean Section and even then it is not a guarantee that your VBAC will be successful. Furthermore, it is said some doctors will say that they do offer VBAC but will convince the patient for CS in the end.

If you are searching for VBAC because you think it is less expensive than a CS, this is usually not the case unless you are at some kind of state hospital with resident doctors who may or may not have the experience for the procedure.

Not many people go to Maryland due to the prices that typically exceed other cities medical and accommodation fees.

Hi, I'm going to El Paso in mid-August and wanted to ask if anyone who used Doctores Para ti ended up having complications and paying the exorbitant daily fees for mom or baby? Of course every case is different, but my concern is frequency of complications which make the fixed pricing less relevant. Also curious about how long it took to get the passport. Did you book a ticket leaving el Paso that had a flexible date to allow for delays? Any insight appreciated!

Im not sure if you are asking or affirming that complications are frequent, which is untrue since complications are rare. If you are affirming that there is fraud and that there are somehow more complications in El Paso than other hospitals, this is a very serious accusation given the regulations required by all healthcare providers in the USA and believe you should specify what you meant.

If you are asking what happens in the rare case that there should be a serious complication, the answer is, the hospital offers at least an 80% discount to non-insured self paying patients.

Hello Elpaso Mums,
I am currently in elpaso and I have put to bed on the 21st of this month. I am waiting for my birth certificate and I can't wait to get out of here. Will share my experience very soon on this platform. Please does anyone know how long I need to wait for this certificate to come Out
? I also plan to return by airfrance. Who has an idea on the baggage the infant is entitled to......

It usually takes 5-12 business days at the most. Focus on your recovery and dont forget not to leave without your baby's social security card which takes about the same amount of time to arrive by mail. Congratulations!

Good morning everyone, I am a new member of this forum and I would like to ask few questions as I am 8 months gone. I am currently in Europe with a valid temporary resident permit and I just started considering giving birth in the state.
1. What are my chances of getting a visa as I am 8 months gone.
2. Should I tell the VO I am going for child birth or just family visit because I have an invitation from my sis in law.
3. Like how many weeks do i need in total (booking an interview appointment, getting the visa and leaving for the state).
Less I forget, I am a new mum and a first time mum. Your advice and contributions will be highly appreciated. Hope to read from you all soonest. Thank you.

Are you serious?

Hello I would like to know if some mom recently gave birth with doctoresparati, my due date is in December and I am planning to go with them as they are cheap but if someone with the experience with them could help me with some questions I really appreciate it.

* Do they are real? I mean they are not a fraud, I don't read many experiences abou them and to me sounds suspicious. If some mom has gone with them could you please send to me your contact information in order to clarify my doubts"?

* Is it real that the amount they post in the website is what you pay at the end?

* I woul also like to know if someone has information or has given birth in Laredo,Texas, that would be my second option.

Thanks for reading me, in December I lost a baby and this is my second opportunity so I am very exciting and praying for having this baby healthy.

There are many Doctoresparati experiences listed here in the first pages from the thread. The reason you dont hear to many experiences anymore is because Doctoresparati has everything listed as it is on the website and is full service medical care. People that dont go to El Paso (Doctoresparati) come here to ask questions that are all solved when you use Doctoresparati.

Hello Thermolady, i am happy for you and hope your baby is doing great. Please i am currently in elpaso in the elpaso to have my baby and i have been informed that it takes a long time for the birth certificate to arrive. Please i will like to know if you had to an extra fee for the certificate to arrive early. Kindly advise on how you were able to scale through.

The hospital will tell you it takes 6-8 weeks for legal reasons, but the birth certificate arrives in anywhere from 5-12 business days at the most.

Good evening house, trust we all had a good day.

Please advice, my wife wants to apply to go give birth in the US but i wont be applying with her at the moment because of a business project i am handling in Benin....However, i will later on to join her before she give birth.....

My question: There is a section that says, "ARE THERE OTHER PERSON TRAVELLING WITH YOU?" do you think she should choose YES OR NO?

Also, when i am ready to apply, what visa category should i apply for?

I look forward to your assistance everyone...

You should answer "Yes" if there are other people traveling with her and "No" if there are not. Saying the truth should not be that difficult.

Hi, so do you have any suggestions/advice? I presume you ain't waiting for me to fall victim before advising me. I need sincere advice and do not want to be used as a lab mice on this platform. Thanks

Yes. Before going to the US, be informed and remember you are carrying a human being inside you and that prenatal care exists for a reason. Once you are informed and are certain you have enough money to pay the hospital, doctor and other fees you have researched, determine IF you can make the trip. Going to the US with no prior knowledge of where your going, what you are doing, and what it cost is not the best way to plan your trip. Im not really sure what can be done at this point, unfortunately your decision making process seems to be a lesson as to how not to go to the US to have your baby. Im sorry if Ive been very blunt but I think you need to know the truth so you can comprehend the seriousness of the choices you've made up to this point and sincerely hope you find a solution and tell us about it in case other people decide to go to the US in the same manner you did.

Hello house, pls I'm new here even though I hv been following this thread for quite sometime. I recently travelled mid may to nj and stay with sil. Well she searched for a neighbourhood clinic for me after I arrived at 31wks saying it will be cheaper than the doctors office. I had no choice since I couldn't find one by myself so I agreed and had to pay $ 190 for first visit. Same day I was asked to pay $ 142 for lab and $150 for ultra scan. I paid all these n I decided in my mind not to go for any visitation again till am ready to give birth! because I'm on a budget. Alas! Just within a week, I started getting mails dropped for me at home and on opening saw $175, $600,$400 from lab and the clinic too. I called the lab but was told I had zero bal with them but I'm pondering why the 2 later bills were sent from them. I'm so pissed right now that I didn't discuss these bills with my sil because she told me from onset that the clinic visit will be cheap and I will eventually be referred to jfk hospital for birthing which we dn't even know what their cost will be on the long run, I had my first child in the UK but I only went in for emergency and that was what I was charged. This her own process of clinic is drilling my pocket cos I told them I'm a self pay and actually thought I should be discounted but no. I'm now praying no more bill comes from this clinic. Now my Question is...Shouldn't I be informed before these tests are run? Should I just wait till I'm am about to give birth and head straight to hospital rather than this clinic that just want to generate money from me because I was told each follow up visit will cost $110 bi- weekly. Anyone with useful information on how to go about this process will be appreciated. I'm stuck with her cos I hv a toddler otherwise I would just have ported to another state.

It is amazing that a doctor would accept responsibility for your health with no additional prenatal care. Should any doctor take you as a patient when you are in labor, the price will be much higher since you have not agreed nor paid for any obstetric care. Please update on the final cost of your delivery since I presume this cannot end well, sorry.

Were they serious they have cancelled child birth in the US

No. But racism is still an issue as evidenced by the officer. If citizenship by birth is ever "cancelled", it wont be from one week to another and there will be a lot of debate over this issue. Everybody will know way ahead of time and not because you were informed at the airport by a racist customs agent with a power complex who doesnt agree with the constitution.

Good day house, want to ask..can u go for vacation even if you are pregnant?

Yes. If you mention you are going on vacation you will probably not be given permission to stay sufficient time to have your baby since you are not planning on having your baby in the US. The amount of time you are permitted to stay depends on the reason for your visit to the US with 6 month being the maximum (usually given when coming for childbirth).

This is information that you should know and is available in the CBP website and not information you should be asking an opinion on a message board.

Whomever gave you the advice to dress in that matter is very misinformed since it would seem you are trying to misrepresent. Im not quite certain you understand what you are doing and how things work. I recommend reading this whole thread from start to finish as if you actually wanted to know all the information needed for such an important decision and you wanted to be informed for yourself and not take this decision based on other people's opinions.
