That's the more reason why it's so pathetic and pitiable. With all the money they pay especially for taxes, these roads should be a lot better than this and Lagos as a whole should be cleaner. It's a shame really, but it's not just the government's fault tho. A lot of the residents are also guilty.

I totally agree with you. If these criminals see that 6 out of every 10 people they attack own their own guns and are able to defend themselves and return fire for fire, then they'll not only think twice but thrice about robbing, bullying and harassing innocent people indiscriminately. Most of these idiots are cowards playing gods because they have the guns illegally and know most victims can't defend themselves. It's ALREADY a problem in Nigeria as the guns have already found their way into the hands of the criminals. The only solution now is to make guns available legally to the law abiding citizens with proper vetting and continuous monitoring. That or we clear and remove every single gun from the streets, like in the UK, of which we know sadly is virtually impossible to do in this our country Nigeria. Smh

The poor nature of this road has made life unbearable for residents in the area as a result of the persistent rain fall and commercial activities has been slowed down. The Road connects the Benin Sapele Road with Upper Sokponba area of town. The importance of this road are enormous, apart from the economic importance as it links two markets together, the 3rd market and the Popular Santana market, it will also reduce the much dreaded traffic in sapele road in the morning and evening periods.

I am bringing this up, using Nairaland as an avenue to call on government and relevant authorities to come to our rescue.

The contractor had stopped working on the site for many months now and the road has been allowed to get to this state.

I hope this gets the required coverage as life is no longer pleasant. People now park their cars at home due to the nature of the road.

I have married for six years now, and just early this week myself and my wife were thinking about our first two years of marriage, hardly will a weekend pass without us having a quarrel, mostly she complains I do not assist her in the house especially in the weekends when I felt too that I should be resting.

In marriage, you have the forming, storming, norming, performing stage like in a team. At the first to third year, you are majorly part of the storming process and this is likely the things you come across.

For you to maintain your cool, it shows a lot of maturity and love from your side, but you self get fault for this matter. The way you are mentioning FIFA in your message shows you give the lady less attention than she expect. This could be part of what is burning her.

Let me ask you question sir. During the first few years of you and your wife always quarreling, did she at least SOMETIMES realize her mistake and come back to you showing genuine remorse for her actions and apologize?? Please answer.
I'm definitely not in support of beating her, but I think the most disappointing thing here is her lack of remorse after such despicable act by her. She's even still looking for another fight after that, showing that, she's even ready to do more... that's just sad. I know he has his own faults too and maybe shouldn't ve ignored her in the first place (note that with the bad attitude & intent to quarrel with which she came asking, some might argue he was justified) or even drag the remote with her but that notwithstanding, she crossed a big line there.
Well, I don't know if I have the right advice to give him but something drastic needs to happen on both parties.

I'm really surprised at the comments of a lot of people here.... Yes the man was stupid and had a lapse in judgment that unfortunately led to his death but what about the wicked danfo driver or conductor who wickedly pushed him away from the moving vehicle even when he knew they were the ones at fault and also knowing fully well that it was very dangerous esp with other moving vehicles around? That's murder or manslaughter at the very least and they should be punished seriously for it. No one has told us or talked about what happened to them. I do hope they were caught and seriously dealth with so others can learn from their lesson. If not there ll never be a change in this country. How can they do that and we are here blaming only the man for his admittedly stupid mistake and temporary lapse in judgment? I want to assume it was temporary as I EXPECT and HOPE (LOL) that a man of his caliber would have eventually come back to his senses if given just a bit more time to live.

Now I'm really sad about all this going on in our country. Quite discouraged on a business venture I was thinking of.

Its a pity how we are quick to pass judgment without knowing what might have actually led to this. Now by the grace of God, I would NEVER support abortion or abandoning a new born baby but has anyone even considered the idea that it could have been a still birth I can ask this because something like that happened to a poor family I know of. The wife had a still birth after all the pains of pregnancy to full term only for the baby boy to die at delivery. The sad and unfortunate father was told by the hospital to take the body of the child away. In his confused and depressed state he reluctantly took his dead child, wrapped him in a wrapper they had bought previously for the expected baby, and he said since he had no land or could think of any place to bury the body, he put the wrapped body inside one of those large nylon bags, took it inside the bush were he thought no one would notice it and abandoned it there. He was only surprised the morning of the next day when to his dismay people had gathered around the spot where he left the baby's body, reigning insults upon the "heartless mother" who they thought had abandoned her baby in the bush. Imagine how he would have felt seeing that happen especially after the pain himself and his wife just went through.
Now I don't want to say if he was right or wrong to dispose the body in such a manner because that's not the issue here. Though I think he could be forgiven for having a temporary lapse in judgement due to the blinding emotional pain he must have been going through when he carried out the act.
Please note that My main aim here is not to discredit this story or say this was a similar circumstance to the one I just narrated as I do not have all the facts of this story, but rather to make you guys realize how the truth/actual facts could be completely far from what people readily assume when passing judgment.

Non of us lied to the church,the church took us to their recommend hosp for the test,a place we never suspected before cos they always make their test center undisclosed, my father followed us as a witness so also my sis in law where all test HIV,pregnancy,and genotype test was conducted . I couldn't imagin making such mistake cos I left my previous relationship cos of genotype issue so I was very careful about it .

I really feel your pain but trust me, it's not as bad as all the doom mongers say it is. Just trust God and give adequate care he ll be fine. Wish I had more time to this but maybe later. God bless
