Guess you've also realised the normal bis plans can't be used on BB10 which is usually one of the advantages of getting a BlackBerry in the first place. For all networks, BB10 has a different data plan which is very expensive compared to BIS plan for blackberry and can be exhausted within a week or two.

By dialing that code follow by 12 digit pin,goes to another account and so you don't have main account instead you are give 10 mins, 10 sms and 4mb in form of bonus which is valid for 3 days and after which it expires. Perharps you won't receive another when you recharge via that code because the time frame is for 7days after which you can do it again.

Network providers don't send you messages to call them when you win something they will b the one to call you and besides i called customer care to confirm the message and it turned out to be false. The only thing that suprised me was how the scammers was able to use Airtel NG to send the message.

They use Airtel NG because of they own bulk sms sites and they put it in place of display name. Haven't you wonder why some sms you receive contain names instead of phone number.

U guyz got it wrong , when u text WAM to 131 mtn will deduct N60 from ur balance and give u 25mb and additional 15mb bonus to chart on watapp only for 30days. U can dail *559*2# to check ur mb balance. Dat is wot am using now, but d 15mb bonus will finish first and u can use it to even browse b4 ur 25mb kiks in only for watsapp. Thanks

Then it isn't unlimited then. That is why I compared them with airtel because the latter is more friendly in terms of data wise. For airtel users dial *885*0 to check whatsapp or opera mini data balance.

With the amount of Nigerians destroying their personal airtel sims and warning others to port immediately, it comes as no surprise they would pull trickish schemes to defraud the remaining few.

Its like all the major telecomms companies engage in one form of fraud or the other but the most tolerable is glo. I hardly come across complaints about them.

We can try to put pressure on the NCC to act but we all know its their selfish interests they have over Nigerians' so we have no other option but gnash our teeth and endure.

Have you tried all social and print media because doing so especially via newspaper can draw their attention.Op since you are a postpaid customer, kindly use the newspaper especially the common ones like vanguard,punch e.t.c to lay your grievance if not satisfied.80% of them read newspaper so it draws their attention especially now that one form of promo is going. Your complain has to be valid in other for it to be address.

Can someone please notify MTN that their network sucks? Seems like there has never been a promo without corresponding means of exploiting their customers. You recharge... get double of it but end up wasting it on calls that you wouldn't hear what the other person is saying and thus you'll have to call again and again. I think these is unfair to the Nigerian populace that are subscribed to this network.
If you cannot continue with your 'recharge promo' then return to the status quo so has to provide quality services to your customer. We must not all be quiet about these!

The truth of the matter is that 90% of Nigerians like free things and are easily cajoled to fall for scams. Please Op when next any of the service providers tell that you can now enjoy 200% bonus,try as much as possible read their terms and conditions because they are hidden from the public via radio n tv adverts except when you visit their website. Imagine airtel lauching a product call Trybe, telling us that you can call @ 11k/sec within the campus to any network after first 60sec n enjoy unlimited facebook,twitter,bbm n whatsapp after anoda 60 second(making it 120) but didn't state that your tariff is 20k/sec airtel to airtel n 30k/sec to other networks outside the campus.many will fall for this n when they leave the campus,your call rate will sky rocket to 30k/sec.

Sorry I'm late but how do you manage data on that device.Can you give us practical illustration e.g in android you have to switch off auto sync,auto backup,background apps etc.

for example in my android device Tecno L 3, I use mobiwol to restrict background app, I use opera mini and most times I don't allow images to be displayed except when it is absolutely necessary. Use the mobiwol, I allow which application that can use the network for example whatsapp and opera mini during the day because charging rate on data especially airtel bis is expensive and other application during the night e.g facebook apk(wen necessary cos I use opera for facebook). For a rooted phone, I use droid wall. Bear in mind that android operating system doesn't compress data like blackberry O.S below 7.subscribe to glo bis costing N1000 for your Q5 n above since the data cap is higher.

Blackberry 10 owners how do you cope with excess data drain in your phone.Data you can normally use for one week on a good old symbian phone can easily be wiped out in few minutes in a blackberry 10 device.I sold my blackberry 10 phone because of this even though I like the phone a lot.

Even when you have restricted background data and done everything else right you still have this enemy called Andoid System or OS Services in some phones mercilessly draining your data.How can one permanently stop this without a firewall.

Most firewalls I've used like mobiwol etc always drain data themselves 3 times more than what they are even saving you from.They also have their security risks cos they could be spying on ur phone and uploading your secret infos to their site.

So whats the way out of this Android OS data madness without a firewall.
