Lucky Isaac Yargwa, has, on behalf of the entire Management and Staff of the Ministry and Government of Nasarawa State, condoled the NYSC and the families of the deceased following the sudden demise of the Corp member.

The Commissioner said, “We are shocked to learn of the news about the death of a promising young Nigerian full of life and great expectations for the future. We are completely devastated about this sad commentary.

The Commissioner in a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the state ministry of Sports and Youth Development, Eche Amos prayed God for the repose of the deceased and to give her immediate family, her colleagues, and NYSC, both in Nasarawa State and at the National level the fortituude to bear the loss

“We pray for God to comfort all those affected by her painful passing, and also grant her eternal repose in heaven”, he stated.

According to the statement, late miss Ajang Blessing Ajiji will be buried on Tuesday, 29th March, 2022, in Plateau State.

Residents flee as cultists kill popular area boy, Tommy in Abeokuta

Residents of Oluwo area of Abeokuta are in a panic mood following the killing of a popular area boy known around the metropolis as Tommy.

Tommy was reportedly killed late Thursday night at Panseke, by some yet-to-be-identified persons.

A gory picture of the deceased sighted by our correspondent suggested that he was hacked to death with either an axe or a machete.

His assailants had butchered Tommy in the head and other parts of the body, leaving him dead in the pool of his blood.

There are reports that he must have been killed by members of the Aiye confraternity, as many rumoured him to be of the rival Eiye cult group.

There is now tension in Oluwo town as residents fear possible reprisal attacks.

Our correspondent confirmed that shops and residential buildings were under lock and key.

The students’ populated environment seem deserted as many are already planning to travel to their various homes.

At the time our correspondent visited Oluwo, people were seen running helter-skelter as some stern-looking guys moved about on motorcycles.

“There is going to be a serious fight in Oluwo Abeokuta. That man killed is not going to die like that. He is a very popular man in Abeokuta. Please take cover and stay safe,” a source has said.

The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the incident, saying it was a cult clash.

According to the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, 18 persons have been arrested in connection with the killing of Tommy.

He enjoined residents of the area not to panic, saying police are on top of the situation.

“It was a cult clash and the cultists killed one of them last night around Panseke. 18 suspects have since been arrested in connection with the incident.

“The people need not fear. We have deployed policemen to the area. We are on top of the situation,” Oyeyemi said.

Hoodlums Hack Deeper Life Pastor To Death, Dump As Police Arrest Three Suspect In Kofi State

A Nigerian cleric, Pastor Alimi Victor of the Deeper Life Bible Church in Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State has been hacked to death, according to Daily Trust.

The deceased was said to be on his way home from a church service at Okaito area along Kabba-Okene road in Kogi, when his assailants struck.

DivinevibezTV Gospel Trend Gathering Information Through Daily Trust learnt that the death of the pastor may not be unconnected with issues arising from a grant scheme that he allegedly got himself involved in.

The handlers of the scheme were said not have disbursed the grant to the beneficiaries.

Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of the pastor, which occurred on March 10.

The Police Public Relation Officer(PPRO), SP Williams Aya, told Daily Trust that the body of the deceased was found in a pit along the route of his church, few days after he was declared missing.

He added that the command went after the suspects, and that intelligence has led to the arrest of three suspects.

According to him, the three suspects are already undergoing interrogation at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

SP Aya added that the command would not disclose the identities of the suspects now as the police were still making efforts to track more persons.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has made a public plea for Vladimir Putin to “stop this war” between Russia and Ukraine in an extraordinary video posted online by the actor.
In the nine-minute clip posted on his Twitter account, the former Governor of California directly addressed the people of Russia and those fighting in Ukraine in a bid to “debunk Russian mistruths”.

The 74-year-old shared his views on the conflict and the need for it to stop, including a message at the end of the clip directly aimed at Putin for the war to end.

“To President Putin, I say: You started this war. You are leading this war. You can stop this war,” he said.


Arnold, who was the first Western film star to make a film in Moscow with Red Heat in 1988, stated that he wants Russians to be made aware of the circumstances around the conflict.

“No-one likes to hear anything critical about their government, I understand that, but as a long-time friend of the Russian people, I hope that you will hear what I have to say,” he explained.

Fuel scarcity: Heaven won’t fall, Nigerians will survive – Buhari’s aide, Femi Adesina

President Muhammadu Buhari’s spokesman, Femi Adesina has said Nigerians would survive the current fuel scarcity.

Adesina said heavens would not fall over the current fuel scarcity and Nigerians will survive like always.

He stated this in his latest weekly article on Thursday titled “KNOCK, KNOCK. WHO’S THERE?”

The presidential aide recalled that Nigerians had experienced a similar situation in the past and they survived.

Adesina’s article reads partly: “It’s obviously not the easiest of times in our country currently, what with severe fuel scarcity exacerbating the other existential challenges we have been coping with.

“In some areas, there’s no fuel, no electricity, thus translating to a severe energy crisis

“There were cases of bad fuel before in this country. We slept for days, weeks on end at petrol stations, queuing for fuel. We survived. We will survive again. Las las.”

Nigerians have been battling with fuel scarcity since February.

The scarcity is said to have been caused by the importation of adulterated fuel.

However, the Federal Government had assured Nigerians that normalcy would soon return because it has enough fuel.
