Federal Executive Council Pegs New Fuel Price(PMS) At N302 Per Liter - A Place for News





While Nigerians are still struggling to cope with the economic hardship in the country, there are reports that the National Executive Council has pegged the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at N302 per liter.

A source hints that the decision was reached at the NEC meeting, on Wednesday.

We also gathered that the new pump price will be implemented from February, this year and will most likely draw flare nerves from stakeholders, especially the organised labour which is already planning a January 27 protest against plans by the government to remove petrol subsidy entirely.

Aba Residents trek on Osisioma flyover to prove to Gov Ikpeazu that they can make use of it without a car

Viral video have showed the moment residents of Aba, commercial city of Abia State were spotted trekking on Osisioma flyover.
The video shared online was in a reaction following the comments made by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu last week Monday, during a call in radio program with Magic FM Aba.

The Governor had when asked during the radio program to tell Abians the reasons behind the delay in completion of the flyover, told the journalist that people should stop worrying about the completion date.

He said when the project was conceptualised, many people never gave him a chance that he would build the flyover, adding that some Abians even went as far as mocking the project by calling it “center table.”

He had said, “The question I’m asking is, what’s you people’s concern with the flyover? Am I not the one that started it?

“I started the flyover and I have been funding it with the little money we have and people should not bother about the flyover. Those that even asked about the flyover don’t even have a car.”

However, reacting to Ikpeazu’s comment, people were spotted trekking on the flyover, the man behind the camera was heard mimicking the governor that people don’t trek on flyover rather they make use of it with car.

The governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu has hit back at critics after he was asked about the flyover that had reportedly been under construction since 2017. Governor Ikpeazu in a video shared by Punch slammed his critics and cautioned those asking him about the flyover project he started in the state.



He went on to say that people should thank God that started a flyover project In the state and that it's nobody's business to question him about a project he started on his own accord. The Aba Osisoma flyover project started on January 20, 2017.

Veteran Nollywood actor, Michael Duru, who has been battling with an amputated leg due to diabetes has been gifted N5 million by billionaire prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, who is the founder of Christ Mercyland church in Warri.

In what appeared to be an emotional and dramatic moment for the actor, who has been confined in his home town in Anambara state after his doctor insisted that he must be amputated to survive, the prophet’s gesture brought tears of joy to the actor and his wife.

In a video posted on the Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin Foundation social media page, Michael Duru explained that life has been difficult since he was amputated, adding that he couldn’t afford an artificial leg that he estimated at about N600, 000.

The attention of the man of God was drawn to a video Duru had earlier made on social media regretting his state and seeking for assistance from Nigerians.



The billionaire prophet thereafter sent a delegation to Duru’s home in Anambara to present cash gift of N5 million to the veteran.

The moment left the actors in tear, warranting the gathering of the villagers and well wishers who were rejoicing over the development.

The prophet’s action towards the actor is just one of the regular actions from the cleric.

During the festive season, thousand of families were feted with over N85 million and foodstuff by the Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin Foundation,

Nigerian Pastor based in Cotonou, Benin Republic, has taken to Facebook to share photos of an "angel" which he says was captured on camera in his church. 

Pastor Ekuma Uche Philips who claimed he has never seen a thing like that in his life, said the 'Angel' was caught on camera during his church's cross-over service on December 31, at exactly 12:13am.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday said he is absolutely aware of the suffering and pains Nigerians go through to feed themselves and their families under his administration.

The President who stated this during an exclusive interview with Channels Television, however, encouraged the people to see agriculture as an option.

“I’m absolutely aware of it (the suffering of the people),” he said. “But like I said, look at the vast population of Nigerians, only 2.5 percent of the land revenues are being cultivated.


“We realised this rather too late, but we have to go back to the land (agriculture).”

During the interview, President Buhari also spoke about a number of burning issues including security, economy, and politics, among others.

He assessed his administration’s performance since he assumed office in 2015, especially in the three key areas of security, improving the economy, and fighting corruption.

The President believes the situation has improved and his administration has continued to improve the economy, despite the nation’s dwindling resources.

“For Nigerians to be fair with this administration is to try and find out from the time we won the election in 2015 till now, in the three promises we made – improving security, improving the economy, and trying to fight corruption; securing the country in the North East, if you ask anybody from Borno State, from Yobe State, from Adamawa State, there are a number of local governments – about 18 – that were in the hands of Boko Haram, no local government now is strictly in the hands of Boko Haram or ISWAP. So, in that respect, we have done something,” he asserted.

“In the economy, don’t forget and I challenge so many people to go and check with the central bank or NNPC. The production from 1999 to 2014 was 2.1 million barrels per day. When we came, somehow the militants were unleashed in the South-South.

“Production went down to half a million barrels per day, and coincidentally, the price again collapsed to about $37 per barrel. But look at what we did within the time frame and the resources available to us relative to the government we inherited.
