kutashi: Typical kindergarten response: a non sequitur. So, by appointing someone to do a job automatically means your medieval politics can't stifle him! Orishirishi. PMB surrounded himself with extraordinary talents, but his primitive sense of governance rendered these men near useless. I was a fan of PMB. I campaigned for him with remarkable energy to friends and foes that he was the best man for the job in 2015. But what did we get? We got a spent force, if not a dud, playing sectional politics! PMB made APC a hated party! In simple English, PMB was incompetent...a disaster! Period! Ogbeni! I no get your time. Park well, jare. 1 Like |

Politics / Re: How Tinubu Created The Obidient Movement by Volksfuhrer(m): 6:19pm On Feb 27, 2023 |
Perfectbeing: I agree that Obi decimated Atiku's chances in the Presidential Elections in the South. But Lagos is a different kettle of fish. Many that voted for Labour in Lagos were not only former PDP faithfuls, they also included EndSARS supporters plus new voters and neutrals who loath both APC & PDP! In any case, I was only responding to FarahAideed's proposition that Tinubu created Obidients. He didn't. |

I don't think so. PMB created Obidients with 8 years of misrule. You made some good points, but Tinubu's election results in Lagos alone throws a big spanner into your thesis. 5 Likes |

Ofunaofu: There are laws, rules and regulations guiding the activities of the CBN. If the CBN flouts any of theses laws while carrying out its monetary policies, then The Supreme Court has the powers to hear cases regarding any of these infringements. The SC only "wanted to ascertain" that the CBN didn't break any law over the implementation of the Naira Redesign Policy. Is this explanation simple enough for you? |

Politics / Re: Tinubu: Practical Ways Forward On The CBN New Naira Notes Policy by Volksfuhrer(m): 7:15am On Feb 13, 2023 |
kettykin: We should destroy the economy because of kidnappers! Kettykin you are better than this. If you don't know, the economy has been badly hit, many have made serious losses because of the implementation of this policy. Stakeholders were not widely consulted. The CBN even laughably admitted they were inadequately prepared for (and didn't foresee) the challenges we are facing now. It took the Council of State to knock some sense into the sloppy-thinking CBN Governor. I still don't understand why the whole country should burn because of kidnappers and a single politician. Are there not alternative ways to deal with this issue except subjecting the whole nation into a mindless ordeal. Playing Machiavellian politics with people's lives and livelihoods (after failing woefully to protect us from marauding herdsmen, bandits and kidnappers) is not my idea of great statesmanship. The idea behind the policy wasn't bad; but the policy execution was, needless to say, satanic! I'm afraid Tinubu's suggestions (to get us out of this mess) are on point. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Tinubu will win! Obi has no chance at all this time. I believe Obi is better positioned for 2039! Sorry, Obidients. Better luck next time. As for Atiku, he scored an own goal by discounting Wike's nuisance value. I wonder what Atiku's chances would have been, if he had picked Wike as running mate! 1 Like |
