Heads: @vvvjustice your words are really encouraging. The blisters come like every 6 months. They r not very severe. Infact he doesn't even know they are there sometimes. They appear around the pubis,on the scrotal sac and the buttocks;none on the penile shaft itself. Everything seems fair enough except that he doesn't sometimes realise that the blisters are present, and this unfortunately put you at risk. But you have nothing to worry about, all you have to do is to check and avoid contact with the blisters so you won't be conterminated with the contagious fluid: It's also an added advantage that the blisters do not appear on his pen'is. Note: Herpes does not kill, it does not even make a person ill neither does it pose any threat to one's body function nor does it affect one's physical or anatomical system, just the itching (and only during outbreaks) |

Heads: @vvvjustice. Thanks for the further enlightenment. But you didnt offer any definite advice. To be more candid, my boyfriend has herpes. He only recently told me. We've not been sexually active. I really care about him but I'm afraid of the implications of herpes, especially with respect to pregnancy. Put yourself in my shoes. My advice is, you don't stand at risk of infection as long as you guys do not make genital contacts during herpes-blisters outbreaks, and yet, the outbreaks do not frequently occur. He will definitely know when there's outbreak because the itching from the blisters is severe, and scratching is inevitable; and besides, if you're too afraid of it, it will be ok for you to check his genital before allowing contacts, by these practices, you're risk free. More still, (like i said before) you can't get herpes from semen (sperm) or genital fluid. So, it's possible to be with many herpes-carrier men all your life and yet, you won't get infected as long as the fluid from the blisters does not contact your skin. How often does he experience the herpes blisters and how severe or slight do they appear in your eyes? |
Health › Re: What Is Heapes? by vvvjustice: 2:59pm On Aug 22, 2008 |
Heads: @vvvjustice Thanks for your candid contribution. What do you have to say about marrying someone who has herpes. How would you know a herpes carrier when you see one, and how do you know that you're not one yourself? You see, herpes is not really a factor many people considered when it comes to marriages: remember that about 25% of people have the virus even though some seldom have its blisters outbreak. While some carriers occasionally experience its outbreaks, there are some that experienced this outbreak just in the initial stages, and then-after, they never experienced it again nor do they realise that what they had was herpes symptoms. So, such people would also carry the herpes virus in their system without any symptoms to show its presence. Herpes can appear in various parts of the body and as symptoms of various body disorders: for example, some people experience it on their lips during or after flu condition. Genital herpes can not be transmitted from sperm-semen, pen'is or vig'ina fluids, it can only be transfered during outbreaks on the genital skin (when the blisters are present, and when the fluid from these blisters burst out and contact another person's skin). So, your question is as good as asking if it is good to marry someone with pruritic papular skin eruption (commonly known as Craw-Craw). |

walexy: Hi good people of nairaland,
I need your support on this little challenge. I applied for a 6 months renewal of my tourist visa but got 2 years extension from the BHC. I was not informed to pay d variance between the application fees of 6 months and 2 years. Hope this action won't generate any issue for me in the future if another renewal is sought.
Secondly, i intend travelling with my wife and kid of a year old now. Here my questions;
*What documents do i need to present on their behalf for the application? *Do i still need to include my own documents as well? *Do i need to fill a seperate form for my child?
Kindly guide me through the technicalities involved in the filling of the forms and the documents involved.
thanking you in anticipation of your usual unflinching support and cooperation. http://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/FAQ.aspx |

u are guys are great when it comes to advise on travelling.i applied for UK.Visa in june but was refused based on insufficient balance.u see this people,u can never tell with them,i work in a multinational company and met all the required documents requested,-letter of invitation from my friend in uk,he has indefinite stay and the wife is a british citizen, letter of introduction from my company, original marriage cert, tax id,cscs documents,my wedding pics and and my new family pics with my baby, bills from my guy in uk,the wife british passport page, original higher institution cert, with a supprting GTB bank statement showing a credit balance of N294,000. i stated in my application that i will be staying two weeks with 500pounds as my bt. but i was so shocked that this people refused me outwrightly, saying that i had an insufficient balance, that its not advisable going to london spending over 258k(air fair inclusive) on two weeks journey,i guess its none of their problem, but i need your advise on this because i will packaging by novemeber again. i will be much obliged to receive a professional advise from u guys.i am not desperate about travelling, but i wouldnt like to be refused second time.u can mail me on waheedey@yahoo.canada or send me text on 07030094999
warm regards
kay igbogolo: A collegue of mine was denied visa on such flimsy grounds. he had like 280k in his current account. He then ''inflated'' his account to 500k and reapplied. He was told that the money in his account was too much!! The visa officers take rather irrational decisions on visa applications from Nigeria. They just take time to poke us in the face. If I were you, I will APPEAL. That shows seriousness and also seals your genuinity. If u reapply soon, u may appear desperate to travel hence their decision might be justified in denying you the visa in the first instance! And if you must appeal, please request for a hearing. Your friend may represent you in the tribunal. Since you are not ''desperate'' to travel, I'm sure u might survive the time it takes for the appeal to sail through. this is my bit sha,
Goodluck! It helps to learn to prepare defence before venturing to lunch attack. The refusal decision is not "flimsy" as you put it, but rather logical. You don't expect the ECO to issue a visa with such bank statement of which the balance amount is barely enough for the entire expenses. Or, would you travel abroad and return back financially broke? Now, see it from the ECO point of view; What is N294.000 for a real holiday maker? Think about this. |

mekaboy: A Young mans Destiny is astake, please advice!
A young Nigerian guy, finished secondary school years back, could not afford the university, was sent to serve an uncle in business for 6 years, after the six years the uncle decides to settle him with cash as usual, the young boy says he wants to travel to london to school, instead of accepting the sum of 2million naira, which is (8,000pounds) . Now his secondary school friend who is studying in london from a wealthy family is telling him to come that he will make through school.
Now he finds a college in uk that offers a university degree, in the 3rd year, the fee is 3000pounds a year, now if he pays that and ticket, by the time he gets to london, he will have about 4000pounds left on him, this could take care of his accomodation for a while, some people advice him to go outside london, that london is quite expensive, some say he can get more employment opportunities in london.
some tell him to invest that money in business that he can never make it through school while working as a student, that students are allowed to work 20hrs a week and there is no way he can pay his fees and take care of his living from that.
Please your advice is highly needed. is the risking of traveling to uk with 4000 pounds as a student worth it? Whether in the UK, Nigeria or even in Rwanda, there's nothing compared to sound education, not even a multi-million Naira investment. But you haven't started worrying about obtaining the visa, you're talking about survival in the UK? |

Ayomifull resides in Ireland, even if she applies for a UK visa from Nigeria, she can obtain it with relative ease as though someone is purchasing a concert ticket. I know people who obtained the UK visa with partial (incomplete) documents since they legally reside and work in Ireland. Besides, many people don't just use visas since there are often no boarder control between the (northern Ireland-Belfast) UK territory and the Republic Of Ireland. So, don't assess your application based on her account, there are stringent regulations when it comes to applying for visa as a Nigerian residence. |

IncaGold: @vikiviko and vvvjustice, out of curiousity what if the poster's uncle bears a different last name (like in my immediate family we bear our dad's first name) or maybe my paternal uncle bears a different name because he changed his name (e.g got born again and changed name from Falana to Jesulana, or Fayose to Jesuyose). My point is, a paternal uncle can be using a different last name, so what can be done in such a situation.
cheers, Very good question. . . Remember, we're in the 21th century: Gone are the days when many things are being ignored or pardoned for lack of documentation; Now, everything (especially in developed world) needs not just paper-work, but computer works. So, if there is any change of name(s), then, there should be documention to indicate so. Any authentic document that declares Change-Of-Name(s) should also show the previous or original name(s), anything order than this is not acceptable. |

No wonder you love those European countries so much, their vast range of finger-licking bratwurst and weistwurst are second to none. Stand tall and stand proud bro. Dear, what do you expect, what should i say ? Honestly, it's not about me, that i said "i wonder how compatible things would be", but rather for her convenience. How many women, (married ones) would feel safe or comfortable staying with a man, (a strange one) in a new country ? Some time before, i offered to assist someone in similar quest, but what did i get? Reviling accusations. If you have a better plan, then it's well. But if you buy my idea, then let me know and i'll contact you via email. femigirl: Visa Gurus, i have two questions, one of my family friend members i am sponsoring was decline a visting visa. But it really strange because she only went into the office to enquire why she had not heard anything after 20 days. She was given the passport back and said declined. I have never received a call fromm any ECO and no paper work. There was no interview, is this correct?
if this is correct, can she appeal YES, this is correct. Interview is only necessary when the Visa Officer is not able to assess a visa application and reach a decision; in such instance, the Officer might call for an interview. But in a situation whereby the Officer is able to assess a visa application, a decision could be taken (even instantly) without interview. If she's given the rights of appeal, then she can, but in other instances, i'm afraid she can't appeal |

As for the reason for his sponsorship, that's up to you and your uncle; it's the same thing as asking someone to advice you on the reason YOU have a mobile phone or the reason YOU eat food |
