2015 Elections: Jonathan will win – U.S think-tank Brookings, the World’s most influential think-tank based in the United States has predicted the victory of President Goodluck Jonathan over General Muhammadu Buhari in the February 14 polls. This was revealed in Brookings publication entitled: Foresight Africa – Top Priorities for the continent (January 2015). According to the analysis of the publication, the election will be competitive but President Jonathan will emerge the winner. “Though the election is expected to be very competitive, the odds still favour President Jonathan.” Brookings revealed that the sole aim of the opposition party, All Progressive Congress, APC, is to return power to the North. “The party is, however, a fragile one that seems united only in its quest to wrest the presidency from Jonathan or to have power ‘returned’ to the North. “The APC gets much of its strength from tap-ping into anti-Jonathan sentiments in the Muslim North and grievances among the Yoruba who feel that the Jonathan administration has ignored them in key political appointments.” Analysis of the Brooking publication noted that the APC’s strategy is to win the North West, North East and battle the South West. He however predicts that contrary to speculations by the APC supporters, Bola Tinubu, who seems to be the party’s strongest mobilizer in the South West, will not win the region. The analysis however, rated President Jonathan high: “despite Boko Haram — the country is thriving: The economy continues to grow and—with the re- basing of its GDP — became the largest economy in Africa and the 26th largest in the world. Jonathan’s supporters also point to his success in containing the Ebola virus, which earned him commendations from countries and institutions around the world.” The report added that incumbency factor and numerical control of PDP states which is 21 ahead of the APC which has only 14 states, gives the PDP an edge. The report concluded by advising the country to put all efforts to ensure that the February polls are free, fair, transparent and peaceful. http://www.post-nigeria.com/2015-elections-jonathan-will-win-u-s-think-tank/ |
If Buhari has cancer, then we must all pray for him – PDP The People’s Democratic Party, PDP has challenged the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to comment on the state of his health. This call was made in Abuja on Sunday, by the Director of Media and Publicity of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, Femi Fani-Kayode. He challenged Buhari to come clean on his health and certificate, which is a standard practice in the world. The former aviation minister stressed that the PDP was not making any allegation but only calling for clarity on an issue that is of great concern. His words “We are not impressed by the fact that his campaign organisation and his party have tried to speak for him on this matter,” the spokesperson said in reference to statements by the APC that Mr. Buhari was hale and hearty. “We would prefer that General Buhari himself clears the air and tells Nigerians himself that he is not mortally ill. “The rumour that he is suffering from prostate cancer is exceptionally worrying and it is incumbent upon each and every one of us to pray for him if this rumour is true,” Mr. Fani-Kayode said. Meanwhile, a VANGUARD reports disclosed that Buhari has been diagnosed of cancer, which has been debunked by sources close to him. According to reports, “Buhari is reported to have filled an online application for the United States of America Visa to enable him travel to the country around January 26 for medical scrutiny” Fani-Kayode has however insisted despite claims by aids close to GMB that Nigerians deserves to know details about health and certificate saga. He said “In this day and age, nothing ought to be swept under the carpet. “We are therefore constrained to urge him to prove to Nigerians that he is really as fit as a fiddle by taking a brisk walk,’’ adding that Buhari could go jogging around the perimeter of the stadium before any of his rallies to prove that he is fit. http://www.post-nigeria.com/if-buhari-has-cancer-then-we-must-all-pray-for-him-pdp/ |
APC cabal abandons Buhari reveal true colours, Metuh says Buhari Muhammadu, Atiku Abubakar and Rabiu Kwakwanso The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has said in a statement released today that the All Progressives Congress, APC, have subtly revealed their true feelings for their presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari. The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, who released the statement on Saturday said that it is obvious that the APC do not really believe in their candidate as important party chieftains like Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, and former presidential aspirant, Sam Nda-Isaiah have all abandoned the retired General’s campaign. Metuh pointed out that even those still with him, like Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola has unwittingly declared his preference for a younger and more educated candidate, when he stated that PDP gubernatorial candidate for Lagos, Jimi Agbaje, who is just 57, was too old to govern Lagos state. Metuh called it ‘the height of hypocrisy’, as the same person is now campaigning for a 73 year-old person to handle Nigeria. “Is this not, as many Nigerians put it, a coded way of saying Buhari is now way too old for Aso Rock?” the PDP said. Metuh also recalled how El-Rufai complained in an interview a while back that he was 25 when Buhari was President and asked when a younger generation would rule the nation. “I don’t understand that at all and I call on young people of Nigeria to take their future into their hands and ensure that in the next election, they vote for a new generation of leaders. The whole world is now being ruled by young people,” Metuh quoted el-Rufai. To drive home his point of APC being hypocrites, Metuh again recalled how Bola Ahmed Tinubu had revealed his disdain for Buhari back in 2011 and had also questioned Buhari’s integrity and flexibility over their botched power sharing deal in 2011. He (Tinubu) had said ‘“I don’t believe a man running for the president of Nigeria and not the Emir-ship of Katsina should not have the needed flexibility. To be a good leader, you have to be flexible and accommodating.” The PDP described the current relations between the Tinubu and Buhari as a marriage of ‘strange bedfellows’ driven by Tinubu’s quest to gain access to the economic and political interests of the nation. Metuh reiterated that APC was full of deceitful persons who specialize in lies and cheap blackmail to achieve their objectives. He gave instances where the party had lied in public, only to be found out, stating that the APC lied that Kwankwaso was denied landing in Ekiti to attend the party’s rally when he was actually in Kano. The party also lied about the age of their 57 year-old youth leader, and when the party last year accused the Federal Government of deploying the Department of State Service, DSS, in Osun state ahead of the August 9, 2014 governorship election, when in actual fact, it was the APC governor of Osun state who requested their presence. He concluded by calling on Nigerians to remember that the APC is a party of dubious and unreliable persons pursuing narrow and parochial interests, who recently devised means to hack into INEC’s data-base, clone the Permanent Voters Card and manipulate the outcome of the elections. He urged Nigerians to rally round President Goodluck Jonathan who has shown his commitment to all national issues. http://www.post-nigeria.com/apc-cabal-abandons-buhari-reveal-true-colours-metuh-says/ |
APC commends Jonathan on achievements in power sector Lai Mohammed The All Progressives Congress, APC, has commended President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration for its undeniable achievements in the power sector. The party’s Publicity Secretary, Mr. Lai Mohammed maintained that the party, assuming they were elected, are willing to maintain and improve on the many economic policies of the Goodluck Jonathan administration if elected into power next month with emphasis on the power sector. “We are fairly satisfied with the unbundling of the state-owned power utilities”. It is worthy to note that under the present administration, the power sector was privatized as the hydro-and gas-powered plants were sold in 2013 to try to bring in investment needed to expand electricity supply in a country that suffers from daily blackouts. The APC according to Mohammed will look to improve generation by encouraging companies to go into joint ventures with foreign firms http://www.post-nigeria.com/apc-commends-jonathan-on-achievements-in-power-sector/ |
APC may be popular on social media, but PDP is in the hearts of Nigerians – Metuh The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh has said that the party is focused on dominating the minds of the electorate and winning the election as opposed to the All Progressives Congress, APC, who he has described as “masters in deceit” at creating mass “ghost” accounts and propagating a false sense of media domination. He addressed this thoroughly in an interview with the Tribune on Friday, stating, “On the social media, we saw what happened in the build up to the Ekiti State governorship election when the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Kayode Fayemi, had control of the social media. “You know that a single person can create 100 accounts on the social media to attack a particular candidate and do whatever they want. “The APC are masters in deceit. But we in the PDP are focused on winning the election and getting the electorate to vote massively for us. The person who created 100 accounts with fake names has only one vote. But we are focused on the others that will vote. Let the APC and its agents dominate the social media, we in the PDP will dominate the minds of the electorate and win the election.” He urged the electorate to concentrate their votes on the party that will ensure stability and reform as demonstrated under the Goodluck Jonathan- led administration; “You are echoing their clamor for change. Yes, change is good. But change from good to bad is terrible. “We saw change in Egypt, did it work out? We saw change in Libya, did it work out? We saw change in Iraq, where is Iraq today? So, yearning for change is good. “But to change from stability and a platform that is fighting for unity and national interest to that of an individual interest is bad, very bad and that is not good and healthy for us as a country. http://www.post-nigeria.com/apc-may-be-popular-on-social-media-but-pdp-is-in-the-hearts-of-nigerians-metuh/ |

Hello folks, That was how I got this job last year December, used the month to really see if it's for real coz I couldn't believe it, better yet I wanted to see if I could stay though, pay is awesome, beats my expectations, job description is perfect as its a media house. To cut the long story short, in as much as I didn't get the advertisement from here, I used to be the kind of person that believes you can't get a job as awesome as this without internal connection but here I am, dumb founded and told other wise by God. My little advise to folks, at that time where u think life can't get any worst than you think it is, that's when God will perform his miracle, NEVER GIVE UP! Every one is on the same journey to that destination but we are on different boats, doesn't mean we won't get there, some may arrive before others but the point is there is an arrival of destination. Don't be so hard on yourself, the experience is only making way for a testimony tomorrow, take it from someone who sends an average of 300 APPLICATIONS per month and this happened for 7 months, not even talking about the hard copies submission of resumes and what not, got to a point I started giving advice on how to nail and interview but I was failing to nail one for my self, I got disappointed fam at a point, got real bad had to beg anyone I could for money to feed, let me not go into too much details, no matter what you think you're facing now, trust me, someone is facing worst, not everyone has the courage to complain or boldness to share but trust me, couple of folks out there are in pains, be grateful and keep trying, that's how you win. I'm not perfect though, I'm just someone who has a testimony, I'm sure YOURs IS NEXT.. Thanks to Seun, Thanks to the Moderators, Thanks to those that post job vacancies both real and fake, my many Thanks to everyone who contributes to this network even the visitors, God Bless You. |

Funny thing is they keep changing names but have same address, I'm particularly scared of that opebi road in lagos. |
