My advice is that you apply for any opening. Your education is meant to stretch your mind so that you can become versatile. Havent you heard of scientists and engineers becoming bank managers?

I studied computer science but currently into Business Management (Business Development, Administration etc.) funny that was all I could find after graduation, when ever I go for interviews I get asked "why not follow your line of study?" sometimes I get dumb founded, thanks to pragmatistm the perfect answer is "Education is meant to stretch your Mind"

There are available aptitude test samples you can practice with before hand like the shl, gmats, psychometric test etc. Get your self acquitted with the questions and how to answer them, some of them are made available on this forum, better yet you can Google for more free samples which are made available, this one no be say God go come down come write am for you, when you make yourself prepared then God's grace isn't far fetched, Goodluck!

lol that's just sad, I never believed such actually happens

One once asked me if I smoke or drink... I answered though as the job was regarding event management I thought.

In as much as they are annoying or boring they are somewhat inevitable and answering them is a must if one must secure the job in most cases, mine is "Tell us about yourself" ... Sigh* its always the first question and honestly with the number of unsuccessful interview one has attended it becomes boring, not only thinking about what pattern to use in answering it but also trying to capture their attention is part of the deal.

It's an interview of cause, it's necessary of cause but at a time there are questions we wished we weren't asked or wish not to be asked in an interview.
