And you forget to Add Almighty Java, PHP, ASP.NET, SQL Database and Web/Mobile Application Development.

The Programming language stated above are mostly meant for Software Development. Not eveybody can delve into software considering their diverse fields and background.

You can also delve into learning CMS (Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress, (TYPO 3), e.t.c) I bolded the Typo 3 because this is what major schools, organizations/company uses in Germany.

Moreso, graphic packages like Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw, Microsoft Packages(Word, Excel, Powerpoint) are also very key.

Without forgetting to includ IT programmes like SAP, Oracle, ERP, CRM at least for the social science students.

you guys should visit http://www.sololearn.com/

It'll help you get started..

Adding some touch of German will also do you alot of Goodies.

Please try and read every word i said...check the bolded.. i said it depends on a lot of things...it is attainable but going to class and reading alone wont gurranttee u 1.0.. now look at it this way...have u ever read so much and u enter exam hall..u will know the answers but u wont have time to write what u know? some courses are like that...some lectures make sure they ask every thing they teach you and 2 hours is not enough to write it down and if u claim u r a fast writer... u will miss out some point while answering the questions which would make u loose one or 2 marks and those marks u loose means a lot here...check i said earlier ,,the gap between 2.0 , 2.3, 2.5 , 2.7..3.0 are not much....in the german market..they value mostly from 1.0 - 2.0

Well for me its all about the GOD factor, I have not taken any exam in Germany but mehn it has always been GOD factor, then your reading and class. Note the order

Hi Vycta,

I am applying to TUM, winter session and will like to send my applications soon. So, if I may ask, when exactly are you likely to travel next week? Is it possible you help me drop off the document?

Also, since you're going to TUM, Id like to ask you and others who know about the school some questions:
1. I have just one hard copy reference letter now that I can use; others are addressed to other schools in the UK that I'm also applying to. What can I do about this? Plus I'm applying for both Power Engineering and Communications Engineering (same faculty). Is that even advisable at all? I love both courses sincerely, but if I'm to make a choice between both, it'd be difficult but I'd still choose Power.
SO....how many hard copy reference letter do I need? Is it possible to only upload them and not have to send hard copies?

2. How does one apply for the DAAD scholarship? I can't seem to find precise information anywhere (guess I'm looking at the wrong places or not searching well enough). Do you apply before the start of the programme, after you've secured the admission or when you've resumed?
I have a fairly good Bachelor's result and I'm really hoping to qualify.

Lastly, what are ,my chances of securing the admission, like what are the things they watch out for in the application? The aptitude test/ interview; what does it look like?

I'm sorry I have lengthy questions...please bear with me. I've read couple of pages on this thread but sincerely I still have these parts uncleared.

Right answers to these questions from any quarters will be saving a soul.

Danke Schon

Ya i don't mind dropping it off for you, will b in lagos this week. Pm me for details.

As for reference letter didn't submit any, didn't go through Skype interview I got a straight admission.

As for scholarships and double course or chances, I just got admitted, I still feel it's based on your motivation letter, transcript, certificates (documents submitted). I guess I will get to know more about scholarships in due time while studying at TUM. But what I can say is munich is expensive, inference drawn from my house hunt.

About what to send or upload the details are on their site.

I am sure a.m mail usually include "come with 3 months insurance"...... when my guy got the mail, it says "Please forward the following via a courier service or drop directly at the gate". the documents includes
- passport
-A prepaid self addressed envelop
-propose date of travel
- 3 months insurance.
So if that mail didnt include the above , especially the 3 months insurance, I fear the worst!!
Good luck
Got the same mail almost a month back, sent my documents the next day, but nothing till you fund. no funding, no visa.

CBN Bans Use Of Dollars For Overseas Fees, Medical Trips by FWJOBSNG: 3:00pm
According to Boason Omofaye, the head of business news at Channels television, who made this assertion this morning, overseas school fees and medical tourism have been placed on CBN’s foreign exchange prohibitive list.

By this directive, Nigerians who may need to go outside the country for education purpose or health care will have to get the foreign currency from the parallel market to carry out their engagements.

This reason for this new development could not be ascertained but it may not be unconnected to the weakening state of the Nigerian currency against the dollar on the parallel market.

Only yesterday, experts from all walks of life assembled at a business colloquium to debate if it is imperative to devaluate the naira.

The colloquium, facilitated by The Cable, an online newspaper, took place at the civic centre, Lagos.

Titled “Naira On Trial: To devaluate or Not?” had business tycoons, professionals, analysts, among others in attendance.

The keynote speakers took turns to share their insights on the topic focusing on the merits and demerits of devaluating Naira.

if you read thru the thread you would've seen where people including my humble self posted about diamond bank. They are delayers of destiny. I have a friend who's also a member of this forum who missed his enrollment deadline cos diamond bank failed to complete his form A transaction on time. it took them over 2 weeks and they only did it eventually because he knew a top boss in cbn whom he complained to and the person pressed buttons on his behalf, otherwise the transaction would've been left uncompleted forever. The annoying part was that their exchange rate and transfer charges were exorbitant, infact the highest I've heard of! I would advice you to cancel the diamond bank transaction and go to other banks that people on this thread have used successfully e.g UBA, Union, Sterling, Stanbic, and fidelity.

Eke, I also applied to tum but rejected some of my docs because of lack of seal and they told me I have to resend it by post before 29 of this month January. Please wat can you say about that because you said they rejected yours but they still gave you admission. Wat does mine mean? Please enlighten me bro

when i sent mine it was crossed in red and i was mailed and told i had issues with some docs, i checked the portal it stated no real round seal... so i mailed the school and they wia like my admission will be processed when they receive the rightly certified document. they go it and i was admitted.

so my advice since they said send before 29th what are you waiting for re certify specifically tell em to use a round stamp on it then resend

For those wishing to apply to TUM. Ensure, you certify your documents at the embassy or make use of a notary public. My transcript I certified at the high court was rejected since it lacks seal.

babanila:

I was told all the certification can be done at any high court in Nigeria;
for TUM just be sure it has a round real stamp. mine was rejected too cus 'no real round stamp was found', i re-certified and resent now it indicates 'ok' on the portal.
babanila:

These are my own questions :-
1. Do I need to certify English Proficiency Certificate given by the University.
2. Do I need to certify tge Letter showing my final CGPA that was requested by the school am going ?

if they are photocopies (Lack real round stamp) depending on the school
