The edifier is just within my budget.

I will say that I didn't really notice any form of noise cancellation on the previous set.

Perhaps I just have superhuman hearing.

You should have troubleshoot it a bit more before filing a return, no need to rush... Probably the problem is from your sound settings or the phone app you're using (truecaller etc), or the Bluetooth call volume is low.

Unless it's the other party that can't hear you, I don't think the issue is from the earphone.

Note that I could not hear the ringing tone.

Here was my troubleshooting process.

1. I switched to speaker mode, I could hear the ringing tone.

2. I switched to phone mode and I could hear the sound it makes when it is ringing on another phone.

3. I switched back to Bluetooth mode and I couldn't hear anything.

4. I connected to my tab and went through process 1-3 and it was the same result.

5. I called my main phone, answered, and put it on speaker. I could hear my voice on the main phone (I was calling from the tab) but I could not hear my voice on the earbuds.

6. I switched to the main phone and called the tab, I could hear my voice on the tab, but I could not hear anything from the ear buds.

7. I talked into the microphones of the phone and the tab but couldn't hear anything from the earbuds.

8. I Googled solutions but there were no search results for this specific problem.

9. I held the earbuds buttons for 8 seconds to clear pairing records, I deleted the pairing from the main phone and reconnected. The issue persisted.

10. I activated developer options for the first time on my phone and went to the Bluetooth codec (or something) options and I changed it to adaptive and the problem persisted.

11. I reset all app preferences for all apps on my phone from the settings. Yet the problem persisted.

Are these steps enough for you to consider it enough troubleshooting.

My refund has been processed.

I am impressed.

I am going to reorder it again.

In the past, Jumia used to do a quality control by calling back few days after you buy, to make sure what you ordered is functioning well.


Request for the return this night. There is a time limit. They'll either refund your money or replace it. Jumia is OK. No fear.


But before you that. Google the problem. You find the solution and you'll see there may be nothing wrong with it

I have tried everything.

I dropped comments on the videos of the two reviewers I watched before deciding to go for it. EL JEFE replied and I had already done his suggestions.

I deleted the Bluetooth several times from my phone.

I reset app preferences.

I couldn't see the exact problem on Google.

There are no search results for "Earbuds no sound working during calls"

I called the person that delivered it to me and he said I can request for a return when the Order tracking turns to "Delivered"

I have done that.

See my hard luck with Jumia. I just had to have gotten the one faulty device.

this is strange for me. You could try a hard reset on the device. Learn how to cancel Bluetooth pairing from the device itself. Then repair. If you're not able to rectify it. Call Jumia back, maybe its your unit that's faulty

Which number do I use to call them back?

Just got delivery of my Edifier TWS1 Pro.

The sound is good, the controls work.

The only problem is there is no sound during calls.

I have tried two different devices but I cannot hear anything during calls.

If you switch it to speaker or to phone, you can hear the sound but once you switch to Bluetooth, you cannot hear anything.

The sound quality is a bit too treble bright, but can be easily toned down with equaliser. Battery is cool 12+30 hours. The only downsize is you should never use it on a busy road. Last night a bike passed beside me and I didn't hear it, only saw it when it came to view. Another problem is that it creates pressure in the ears due to the seal it creates, but I'll get used to it. Yes it fits well. If you pee, you won't hear it sound or your own footsteps. Almost as if your deaf.

Call quality is a 10. They'll hear you even if you're just whispering. The only problem is that you may not hear your self speak due to the noise cancelling. It's like when you use your hands to cover your ears while speaking, your voice comes in a low bass.

Bass is a 7.5, you'll hear and feel it. The highs and mids are 9 and 8.5 respectively. The battery is else 12+30 hours

I am really interested because I want something that allows me to make calls and the recipient will hear me loud and clear

I've been reading about TWS ear buds for over 2 years now but wasn't fazed because of the initial "low bass & low volume" complaints of early adopters.

So I finally decided to give it a go this year seeing that they've now come of age
Key factors I was looking out for was cost effectiveness, Apt-X support, fun features, app support & bass (for someone that used a KZ wired headset its already in the blood).

I found a perfect match in the Fiil T1XS which was top pick by notable reviewers. I was lucky to snag up a copy for $40, that's approximately 16k plus as at the time of purchase.

I have been using it for the past 2 weeks and I must say an completely impressed. It has all I wanted except for Apt-X support which doesn't make any difference due to its superb sound quality.

The sound is so good it can give my old wired KZ a run for its money if the equaliser is tweaked right. Key features for me is the app support which unleashes extra functionality you don't get by default settings and monitoring mode which allows you to listen to ambient sounds without removing the ear buds.
