Are you saying Elrufai has no supporters among Christian population? Even the Kaduna state APC Chaieman? Even the former Deputy Governor Bala Bantex? Even among the various APC council leaders in Southern Kaduna?

TonyeBarcanista: THE BRAZEN ACT OF MARGINALISATION OF CHRISTIANS IN KADUNA STATE BY GOVERNOR ELRUFAI
By Tamunotonye Inioribo @TonyeBarcanista
Kaduna state, a beautiful state located in the heart of the northwest, is popularly referred to as a miniature Nigeria. This is because the state has a sharp religious demographical spread of Islam and Christianity adherents between the northern and southern zones of the respectively similar to what is obtained in Nigeria.
Muslim-Christian Demography Kaduna has 23 local government areas spread across the northern senatorial zone, central senatorial zone and southern senatorial zone. Twelve of these 23 local government areas are predominantly Muslims while eleven are predominantly Christians. The state is also constitutionally divided into three senatorial zones, namely; northern, central and southern zones.
The northern senatorial zone, also called zone 1, consists of eight local government areas namely; Ikara, Kudan, Kubau, Lere, Makarfi , Sabon-Gari, Soba and Zaria local government areas. Of the eight local government areas in this zone, only Lere local government area is predominantly Christian, while the other seven are predominantly Muslims.
The central senatorial district, also called zone 2, is made up of seven local government areas namely; Birnin-Gwari, Chikun, Giwa, Igabi, Kaduna north, Kaduna south and Kajuru local government areas. All of these seven local government areas are predominantly Muslims except Chikun and Kajuru local government areas that are predominantly Christians.
The southern senatorial zone, also called zone 3, is made up of eight local government areas. They are; Jaba, Jama'a, Kachia, Kagarko, Kaura, Kauru, Sanga and Zango-Kataf local government areas. All these eight local government areas in this zone are predominantly Christian.
The official population of Kaduna state was put at 6,113,503 with spread as follows; Northern Zone (Zone 1) Ikara LGA -194,723 Kubau LGA - 280,704 Kudan LGA - 138,956 Lere LGA - 339,740 Makarfi LGA - 146,574 Sabon-Gari LGA - 291,358 Soba LGA - 291,173 Zaria LGA - 406,990 Total: 2,090,218 Central Zone (Zone two) Birnin-Gwari LGA 258,581 Chikun LGA - 372,272 Giwa LGA - 292,384 Igabi LGA - 430,753 Kaduna North LGA - 364,575 Kaduna South LGA - 402,731) Kajuru LGA - 109,810 Total: 2,231,106 Southern Zone (Zone three) Jaba LGA - 155,973 Jama’a LGA - 278,202 Kachia LGA - 252,568 Kagarko LGA - 239,058 Kaura LGA - 174,626 Kauru LGA - 221,276 Sanga LGA - 151,485 Zangon-Kataf LGA - 318,991 Total: 1,792,179
From official population as seen above, the Muslim predominant north has 2,090,218, the central zone has 2,231,106 population and the Christian predominant south zone has 1,792,179 population, but there is no official fact to ascertain the true population of Christians and Muslims in the state. Nonetheless, the state governor, mallam Nasir Elrufai, a Muslim from the northern senatorial district, argued that the religious demography in the state is 70-30 in favor of the Muslims. The Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU), the umbrella body of the predominately Christian southern Kaduna people, put the religious demography at 50-50. While neutral observers posited that the religious demography in Kaduna state should be between an evenly 50-50 spread, or a 55-45 spread favor of the Muslims.
Political Marginalization Under Governor Nasir Elrufai Despite the predominance of the Christian population in eleven out of the twenty three local government areas, the Kaduna state government under Governor Nasir Elrufai, a Muslim, chose to perpetuate a brazen act of marginalisation by excluding the state's Christian population from participating in the affairs of the government since the commencement of his second term. For the first time in the history of Kaduna state, no Christian is found in any of the principal positions across the three arms of government and the civil service.
Governor Nasir Elrufai started the marginalisation in 2018 when he broke the traditional Muslim-Christian ticket or Christian-Muslim ticket in any gubernatorial contests to nominate Hajiyya Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, a fellow Muslim as his running mate for the 2019 gubernatorial election after his former deputy, Arc Bala Bantex, a Christian, opted to run for the Senate to represent the people of Kaduna south senatorial district under the platform of All Progressive Congress.
After his victory at the hotly contested Kaduna state 2019 gubernatorial election against Honourable Ashiru Kudan of Peoples Democratic Party, Governor Elrufai shut out Christians in the state from the running of government. This he did by ensuring that only Muslims are appointed as senior principal officers in the government. This is aside the fact that himself and the deputy governor are Muslims.
The principal government officers are; Secretary to the State Government - Mallam Balarabe Abbas Lawal Chief of Staff to the Governor - Muhammad Sani Abdullah Kaduna state Head of Service - Hajiyya Bariatu Yusuf Mohammed Principal Private Secretary - Dr. Salisu Suleiman.
No Christian Among The Entire Presiding And Principal Officers In Kaduna House of Assembly The marginalisation continues in the legislative arm of government with no single Christian as a member of any of the presiding and principal offices . The Speaker of the House, Honourable Yusuf Tanimu Zailani, the Deputy Speaker Honourable Muktar Isa Hazo, the Majority Leader Alhaji Haruna M A Inuwa, the Chief Whip, Alhaji Idris Abdullahi, the Deputy Majority Leader Alhaji Shehu Yunusa and Deputy Chief Whip Alhaji Salisu Isah, are all Muslims. Meanwhile, the clerk of the Kaduna state House of Assembly, Bello Zubairu is also a Muslim. Also The Judiciary... The head of Kaduna state judicial arm of government and Chief Judge of the state, Justice Muhammad Lawal Bello, is also a Muslim. As if that is not enough, the only two ministers from Kaduna state in the cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari, Zainab Ahmed, the minister of finance, and Muhammad Mahmoud, the minister of environment were chosen from the Muslim population.
The development in Kaduna state is indeed a bad omen. It is bad that a state with significant Christian population that are predominant in eleven out of the state's twenty three local government areas, has no senior principal government official across all the three arms of government of the state. What is more disturbing is that Governor Nasir Elrufai, the perpetrator of this brazen act of religious marginalization in Kaduna state, is aspiring to run as presidential candidate at the Nigeria's Presidential election at the termination of his second term in 2023.
Written by Tamunotonye Inioribo|| I can be reached at tonyebarcanista@gmail.com The christians in kaduna, sponsored by CAN, spent several years demonizing El Rufai as a rabid Muslim fanatic on the basis of some comments he made, which were then twisted by CAN and its media wing to portray Mallam in a bad light. There's nothing Mallam has said that's any worse than what many pastors such as Suleiman say all the time and none of them were deemed out of line by CAN. Mallam was harassed and embarrassed when he visited kafanchan to commiserate with the people after a clash. The blood thirsty christians of kasuwan magani started a genocide that saw hundreds of Muslims slaughtered, and the christians blamed Mallam. Then later when the Agom was kidnapped by highwaymen and later murdered, christians completely blamed Mallam and were silent over the hundreds of Muslims kidnapped daily on the highways. During the elections CAN hatched a plot to ensure every single christian voted PDP to kick Mallam out, and they bought into the lie that kaduna is 50% christian. Well the results have clearly shown that christians are a minority because they failed to dislodge mallam. And you lie that there's no christian in a powerful position in the government. Samuel Aruwan is the commissioner for interior and security. That's a powerful position. As long as CAN and the christian minorities in kaduna will assume an antagonistic position then they'll have to contend with the status they chose for themselves. You're trying to create an unnecessary controversy because of attention. You should be more concerned with what your Wike is doing in your own neck of the woods. |

duality: Unfortunately, Your campaign has killed more people than saved them. People have been treated and they have recovered.
Is there any treatment you and your ilks have not spoken against?
You people have dismissed both home remedies, and clinical prescription from trusted medical practitioners in Europe, America, Asia and Africa and the testimonies are all over the world. The only thing you have not dismissed is the increasing infection and death rates because that's where you have special interest.
don't ever forget this, People who are willing, will break free from the stronghold.
For your information also, I have no business with America's politics. However, I can see people who align quickly to celebrate deaths for obvious reasons. They all share same sentiments and reference same source of information. You're coming across as a bit vitriolic, because I don't recall where i celebrated people's death. All i do is debunk false therapies and quack doctors. They're the ones killing people. My impression of you is of someone poorly informed about this virus and the disease it causes, otherwise you won't be here showboating about remedies that have not been proven to work, and that global health bodies have labeled as placebos at best. If you can provide just a single cure accredited by any authoritative health body then I'll take your claims serious, else they're as baseless as snake oil. Did any reputable health body or standards agency in Nigeria announce any cure? No. Did drug administration in the world announce a cure? No. So on what are you pinning your false claims of people being treated? Is it the people that are discharged? They're not discharged from hospitals, they're discharged from isolation centers after they're tested and show negative for 2 consecutive tests. No hospital accepts mild and moderate cases, they're all sent home to recover on their own or kept in isolation wards to prevent community spread. This is factual. The severe cases hospitals do accept are placed in ICU where they're intensely monitored and assisted with breathing and opportunistic infections until they either recover or pass away. If you're able to accept that your optimism is not a solution, and nor is my position pessimism, then you'll probably come round to understand the fact that there's yet no cure or treatment and no single country has a proven cure or treatment, and if there is kindly provide proof. |

duality: Good, now do you want those infected but aren't in critical State to do nothing and degenerate?
Now, they have performed some treatment trials and discovered that the viral load reduced and sometimes the person is completely recovered.
Isn't that good? Doesn't it tell us that we are doing something right?
I know science to be about experiment and observations. Dismissing any and every opinion on what you claim to be novel is not smart. Unless you already have the answer somewhere and waiting for a time to bring it out.
These approach by the organizations you mentioned have fueled suspicion and helped conspiracy theories.
I believe you should know this. Whether mild or severe cases, there's very little doctors can do to cure anyone. Those with mild cases, which is a great deal more of infected patients, recover. There's no cure for now and beyond Remdesivir, there's nothing right now that seems to work. We've told you, they're not "performing some treatments and trials", they simply bed very sick patients and wait for then to either get well on their own or die. In many isolation centers there are no doctors present, only a few nurses and lab techs. I don't know how much more of this needs to be emphasized before you people understand it. Covid19 is not a death sentence There's no cure for it yet. Chloroquine does not work. Funny enough the picture below was grabbed a few minutes ago.

He went further to mention some other drugs that factually don't have any role in management of Covid. He must be managing something else and not Covid. Despite it being commonly known, some Nigerians,to even know some are medical professionals, are peddling this wrong notion that they are treating Covid in those isolation centres, when in actual fact, there is no treatment for now. What is done is done there is to hopefully wait for the virus to run it's course in the human body aided by the body's natural defensive abilities, depending on the individual, while giving patients supplements and supportive therapy for symptoms arising from the illness. Any Dr peddling any notion of treatment at the isolation centre needs to be investigated. Thank you! They wouldn't to be said they're waiting tiddling their fingers for nature to take its course. If people realized some of these quacks are really not curing anyone while grandstanding, they might lose their hero status. |

duality: Fine. If you where a doctor handling these cases, what would you be doing differently.
Please don't bring me a non existent vaccine story.
Would you do nothing and keep castigating any effort to keep people alive?
You may even be one of those who align with WHO in their flip-flop reports of inconsistencies . If I'm a doctor I'll do exactly as the WHO and other professional medical bodies actually studying and researching the virus say, especially when such bodies played a role in containing and studying other coronavirus epidemics such as SARS and MERS, and the Ebola virus. Since there's no drug tp treat the coronavirus, almost every country hospitalizes only severe and critical cases, with mild cases sent home. For the really sick, they usually hydrate them with electrolytic solutions and antibiotics for secondary infections, and hope for the best. The critical ones are those patients who've gone into full-blown respiratory distress and are those assisted with machines like vents or ECMOs to stand a fighting. Those kind of very sick patients are the ones who likely will die. As for the ones with mild and asymptomatic conditions, they're simply isolated or sent home to self isolate until they get better. Yes the vaccine is non-existent outside of labs, but I'll likely come. |

Pls lets enjoy this peaceful news atleast for now its bin while thanks You don't seem to understand the significance of medical personnel being untruthful, and that sort of complacence is why we'll never progress as a race. If you don't question everything, you'll never know and get better; you don't hold authorities to the basic standards of honesty, especially one where they're sworn to a creed, you'll endanger everyone and everything you know. Yes there's some anecdotal evidence some antivirals seem to have a retardant effect on the coronavirus, but in the absence of any large scale clinical study no one can say with certainty. There's absolutely no proof chloroquine works, and there's proof it doesn't work and also has serious side effects. It's not approved by any reputable health body. Vitamin Cs role is actually not as the doctor said it. So that's dishonest. The only drug with proven efficacy is Gilead's Remdesivir, and even that only shortens recovery time by about 3 days or so. It won't do anything for the critically ill. You need to remember that it's still early days and a lot about the virus is just being learned (hence the 'novel' tag), bit it doesn't give room to play with people's health by dishing out wrong info. SirWarlock: Yeah some things in this reports were weird. I mean aren't virus hard to treat due to them hijacking body cells therefore causing self harm? Also the part about WHO . Also the chloroquine part: is Lagos using it or not? If yes then what's the news about starting trials soon I believe Lagos, perhaps a number of states as well, are using chloroquine, even if without official approval by NAFDAC. I guess they're throwing everything including the kitchen sink to see what sticks. But largely the people who get better will do so anyway. Like i said several times before, people who die from Covid-19 are killed by their own bodies and not directly by the virus. Once we figure out, that's a major step to defeating its mortality. |

This doctor should be fired.
Aluvia or any other HIV drug does not kill any virus, not HIV nor coronavirus. HIV drugs contain the virus, they don't kill it. That's why patients can still infect others. Also there's absolutely no drug now that kills the 2019 coronavirus.
Also the claim that the treatment was agreed with the WHO and the UN is false.
One, the WHO is the UN body for global health matters, so one can't meet with both on health issues as that's redundant and a waste of time and resources.
Two, the WHO has not approved any drug, including chloroquine, to treat Covid-19. The WHO has even actively discouraged the use of chloroquine because it has no effect on Covid-19 and has dangerous side effects.
For Covid-19, vitamin c does not create new cells damaged by the virus, it assists in the absorption of iron, which helps the blood transport oxygen in a body starved of 02.
This people will just say anything even when they've no clue what to do, and are simply trying everything.
That's how the health minister claimed they used remdesivir, when that treatment is barely available even for the US, with a total supply right now of only about 200,000 doses. |
