Dybala11:You'll later be ashamed of yourself for this high level mediocrity. |
Although the information from the CBN presume everyone that every Nigerian have a fair knowledge of how "Contactless" transaction works. But in reality, it is a new financial terminology to large number of people that have access to internet while others outside this category are still living in the stone age ... Contactless transactions is not operating in the same technology as your bank app or your magnetic stripped card system. It uses radio frequency identification to interact with paying and receiving parties within a specified radius. It is a secured means of transaction where your information is encoded and cannot be traced by any other parties including government agencies and Central Bank. (Untraceable Transactions) Did you now see the reason why the use must be regulated before it becomes generally accepted. |
Please get a family ticket for me in that cruise... I hope they will come to pick me up somewhere around Marina for the trip. |
Too late to cry when the head is off. You should done this before the judgement is served. Ten years is jus 2 years after Tinubu's 2nd term in the office. |
enemybulldozer:We neither classified them as an "accursed" the only problem with most of them (not all of them) is their inability to treat others with fair respect and dignity that was accorded to them. Feed them in the morning, before your food settles down in their lungs, they are already throwing slurs at your tribe They never appreciate other peoples contributions and efforts towards their success. For instance; millions of Hausas and Yorubas stood with Peter Obi in the last general elections, but the Obiduents sees it as only Igbo affairs and achievements. |
Afonjanawerey:If you talk of DNA of people without an iota of courage, I think you should look inward into your tribesmen. In our recent past ......DJ SWITCH, FALS and Debo MACARONI played major role in struggle against police brutality in Nigeria in the year 2020. The only person that ran away into exile for fear arrest is the only Igbo amongst the three .... Typical of her forefathers. Tell us another lie. |
Afonjanawerey:Google is your friend. We are discussing real issues here, you are catching cruiz simply because you cannot connect the dots and bring out reasonable pictures from your world of imaginations and fantasies. Records set straight!!!!!! No more arguments! |
Wutinky:Can you give us a proof to disprove @renoomokri's historical claims.... |

If you read Major Ademoyega's book, Why We Struck, you will understand that he displayed typical Omluabi nature in that he abhorred killings and preferred the politicians to be arrested. And let me correct this stereotype of Yorubas as cowards. Historically, the Yorubas have been the bravest soldiers and leaders in Nigeria. Chief Obafemi Awolowo, for instance, would never have done what Nnamdi Azikiwe and Colonel Emeka Ojukwu did. Azikiwe snuck out of Biafra in 1969 and turned up in Lagos, sitting beside Gowon, and condemned Biafra and Ojukwu. Colonel Ojukwu himself fled Biafra on January 11, 1970. Awolowo would never do that? Chief Awolowo had the opportunity to leave Nigeria and go into exile when he was accused of treason in 1962. Kwame Nkrumah offered him that option. But he stayed. He fought the case. He was convicted in 1963, went to prison and never begged to be released. He continued to control the Action Group from Calabar prison. Major General Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi was a guest of Col. Adekunle Fajuyi on July 29, 1966. When Northern troops, led by then Major Theophilus Danjuma, came to arrest Ironsi, he refused to release him. He was told he could replace Ironsi, but he would not budge. He chose to die with his guest! Today, his sacrifice is not appreciated by some of the people who should appreciate it. Instead, some people accuse the Yoruba of betrayal. Also, when the then US Ambassador to Nigeria, Walter Carrington, told General Obasanjo not to return to Nigeria from Copenhagen because Abacha would arrest him on charges of coup plotting, General Obasanjo instead brought forward his return date. When asked why he returned to Nigeria, he posited that if he returned, Abacha would be less likely to kill those already arrested, especially his friend, Shehu Musa Yar’adua. How many Nigerians do you know who can behave so honourably? Major General Tunde Idiagbon was abroad in Mecca when Babangida and Sani Abacha overthrew him and Major General Buhari. But he returned. Finally, there is the case of MKO Abiola, who returned to reclaim his mandate from Nigeria’s most brutal military dictator ever. He was arrested in 1994. He was offered bail, but refused freedom in exchange for abandoning his mandate. This was a multimillionaire in US Dollars. Yet, Bashorun chose prison over freedom. He did not run away and abandon his people. The Yoruba are a very tactful and diplomatic people. They tend to be contemplative, rather than impulsive. These are attributes that some people mistake for cowardice or sycophancy. They are people who understand how to stoop to conquer. No Yoruba leader would abandon his people and side with their opponents during a war or flee and leave them to their fate. Others may behave like that, but not Omo Oduduwa! Thanks again, and may God bless you.

Russia's next president/dictator in the making.... |
This cannot work effectively. The aims and objectives will be defeated easily. For instance, I may register my Nairaland account with my bank and come back here to deactivate that moniker and activate another account and continue with my life. Same with Facebook account, Instagram and other social media platforms. No need to fight over this infractions.... It comes with a permanent solution.... ![]() |
If this gesture could be replicated in all strata of academics, maybe many students would prioritise their education over olosho runs ... Thank you Gov. Sanwoolu of Lagos state. Thank you Oniba of Iba. |
This is @op true identity

Adonispco:I think you should grow up a bit and behave like a matured person. Do you think everyone is gullible and naive like you who found it difficult to read in-between the lines. You created an untrue storyline without shame... even lazy mods on Nairaland was decieved to move your lies to the front page...... I think everyone that are responding to your useless thread should take a little journey through your previous posts and see low some people can go chassing clout |
Chetas81:I found it difficult to comprehend your response... Or is it a rap song lyrics or some incantations ? ![]() |
OboOlora:Is it loss hearing or assimilation deficiency? Where did you see incantations in the lyrics of that song? Bad belle will blow up some people's belly. |
Thundafireseun:Inverted reasoning...... |
Why is his face kon black like Baba Suwe's facial costume...? Star boy all the way. |
Posterity will never be kind to some people because of their stupidity of 11 years ago.... Thank God I was never deceived. |
Nightmares and horrific pictures of Nigerians that died a needless under your watch as the president of Nigeria shall be your closest ally anytime you close your eyes to sleep. Nothing lasts forever! Thank God. |
CuriousCart:Your observation is good but not all encompassing! I do not understand how you come about your 80% statistical figure but I think you are exaggerating. Nigerians are innovative dynamic and forward looking people even in the face of obscurities, helplessness and hopelessness yet, we are striving hard to make ends meet. Why do you think almost everyone want to 'japa' to other countries where things work? We have examples of people who travelled to another economy and after few months or years, someone classified as a lazy bone in Nigeria will be making a legitimate money and living his dreamt life. We all have one story or the other close to us. You don't expect too much from the citizens of a country where there are no systems to plug into to thrive...... Not everyone will be a business owner in life. Your line of thought corresponds with Buhari's who called Nigerian youth lazy even when his policies are draining the economy and making life difficult for the citizens. |
Goodluck Jonathan, the only good man in Nigeria politics. |
JohnBullMySon:Dear Johnbull... If you look critically into my choice of words and the manner of expression, you can easily deduce that, I am only responding to your question and not being emotional. That Christian Atsu got a state burial in his country of birth at age 31 and being among 54,000 who died unexpectedly due to unavoidable natural disaster is sobering and anger inducing enough to ask some questions under the guise of insensitivity. To you, he is not a hero, but to some, a small god! If the best way to grief his loss is what they have done, that tells us that, his very short live was meaningful and impacts others positively. Above all, I never wish you evil in my mention, but, just pulling a sarcasms and rhetorics in one sentence. |
RIP Christian Atsu..... |
JohnBullMySon:Not being insensitive; but I don't think you can have 2 people to hold a candle night procession for you if you die suddenly today ( God forbid) |
Banks will definitely regret all their stupidity very soon. Many people will not use bank again. |
Scamburster:What concerns anybody with whether I casted my vote or not? Is it no my personal and inalienable rights to vote or be voted for anyone? Is my vote a prerequisite for seeking redress in the court of law? Your question is funny anyway. |
Is it possible to sue INEC for this postponement.... ? I shifted a very important program from 11th March to 18th. After all necessary preparation has been done, INEC just woke up from their slumber to come and frustrate the plan once again. Please, is it possible to seek redress in court against INEC over their unfortunate arbitrariess ? |
Munachimso30:Yes, there is... Not as buoyant as UK, USA or Canada but far better than Nigeria... Cheaper and faster processing time.... |
hustla:What exactly is my gain if I am creating panic online for people who are willing to, and the financial means to better their lot in life by migrating into a better economy than ours. People liked to be told exactly what they want to hear and face reality when they might made serious mistakes of their lives. This is what I do for a living and I still have clients due for submission this week.... I swear, people should calm down on UK Study or skilled worker for now to avoid story that touches the heart. Anybody that want to try it can go ahead.... UK high commission will continue to issue visa but what happens afterwards is for the applicant to face. Thank you sir. |
