Remove your sim card, connect to a wifi and try to check again

All BlackBerry 10 devices should be on at least 10.3.1.xxxx OS by now. 10.3.2.xxxx was released a few weeks ago

Is this a first time subscription? Calling glo customer service will only waste your time. First time glo bis subscription from a BlackBerry 10 device could take as much as 24-48hrs to kick in so don't be hasty or impatient

My advise will be that you be sure your apn is right and glo bis network in your area is actually good

the cause of interruption is network..nothing else....OTA in Nigeria can be like that because of the quality and speed of our network system

an alternative will be for you to use the BB link from a PC to do the update. the advantage of that is, the installation doesn't start until the file is fully downloaded to a location on your pc so network fluctuation won't cause the update to fail

No difference in what you get really, like we've said here over and over again, they are both same. Just that one comes OTA and the autoloader is downloaded to install at your own time.

I will be careful with the comment above....autoloaders are used to package OS that are work in progress so that a select group of users can test some parts of the OS to be sure its working as desired providing the desired customer experience, they are also used to allow developers test their apps and OEMs test their devices when the time is right down the line in the development process. the work in progress OS usually have parts that are not working well so the everyday end user is not advised to install autoloader

fortunately, we live in a connected world and there are many deviants and free spirits all over the place. these autoloaders can easily fall into the hands of people who can share with the rest of the world

Official OS can be packaged as an autoloader by coders who know how to but official Blackberry 10 OS comes to the end users as an Over-The-Air (OTA) download and never ever as an autoloader from Blackberry

It's a bit of luck sometimes. There are two types of promos.. BlackBerry sponsored and app developer sponsored

BlackBerry sponsored promos show up on BlackBerry world and is widely advertised on multiple channels so unless you're under a rock, you should get to hear about them

App developer sponsored promos are tougher to catch. Sometimes they also show up on BlackBerry world and Sites like crackberry get notified and the share the info

most times, number delimited promos disappear way too fast because the site caters to millions of BlackBerry users all over the world

Time delimited promos are much easier to get because the developer is giving away an unlimited number of apps for a period of time..this blaq app is a good example

BlackBerry allows all comers...it's the developers of the apps who have not got around to developing the BlackBerry 10 version of their browser. Like you said though, the BlackBerry 10 browser kicks the butts of all other mobile browsers

branded BB10 devices mostly update only when the network provider has released the updates irrespective of which network the device is now connected to via unlocking

secondly, since you have a recent autoloader already, there's a likelihood your OS version is higher than the current official version from ATT, thats why you're not getting an update push

how's your network connection? phones and tablets get very hot when they are overworking to maintain a steady connection either data or voice

so before you blame your device, you might want to check your data connection

Just go to your school and use the wifi to download the update....theres usually nothing wrong with downloading updates so you don't need to panic or pay anyone for downloading updates

Finally got Chrome Browser to work on Passport. Chrome actually faster compared to BB native browser, from personal experience tho'... someone can check it out

you can't determine that just based on your perception...you need a proper benchmark and BB Native browser has outperfromed chrome on android so i dont expect chrome on BB10 to do better

You can't get fx cash in Nigeria through official means anymore... banks won't sell to you

All data packages on all networks can work on BlackBerry 10 devices there are only two exceptions I know of...MTN and Etisalat BIS where the network providers have deliberately blocked the use of that package on BlackBerry 10 devices

If you're in lagos, then visit the blackberry nigeria office. That's your best option. They should be able to guide you on how best to resolve this type of problem

Do you have a pc (desktop or laptop)?
Do you have steady Internet connection?

If your answer to the questions above is yes, pls download BlackBerry link on the pc from BlackBerry.com and install on the pc. Connect the device to the pc via USB cable and use the BlackBerry link to reload your OS on the device

The updated whatsapp is available for all BlackBerry 10 devices but you might need to have the latest BB10 OS installed on your device for you to get that version

Make sure the software on the torch 2 is up to date....the OS, BBM, blackberry world, BlackBerry protect, BBID app all must be updated to the very latest version

1. on your z10, simply log in for the first time with the same BBID you have on the torch 2 or

2. you can use BlackBerry link to migrate your profile...both BlackBerrys must be logged into with the same BlackBerry ID. You need to install BlackBerry link to a pc and choose the option to switch device. Follow the onscreen instructions

Is your device new? If it's not make sure your apn is correct then you should be able to access data

Also be sure you're on glo BIS package?

I have a serious issue (atleast it's serious to me). I keep getting the notification to update my blackberry. Each time I try to do it, it says the file is too large I should set up wifi to do that.
You will think that setting up wifi will be as easy as I always set up my hotspot on airtel. But no, it still won't work.
I borrowed glo line and recharged to get the 3G but it still won't work.
I tried using blackberry link, that one says my phone is up to date (imagine). Now i'm at my wits end. The Glo 3g is available, I have a little over 1G on my airtel yet I can't update and the notifications still come.

Please what should I do?

Your device must be connected to a wifi not that you'll set up mobile hotspot on the device....

Put your sim with enough data into another phone. Set up mobile hotspot on that phone and connect ur BlackBerry to that hotspot to download. You don't need to have a sim in your BlackBerry 10 device to update
