I meant you should move files from your device memory to the microsd card

Are you using a Q5 or Z3?

If you have a microsd card installed keep moving files and deleting apps until you free up at least 2.5times the size of the download file you're seeing

looks like the 2*2 Step update is the same for a lot of people...so if you have experienced it like me, its not a network failure

you will get a >400MB-1GB in the first step, once that is done, another 1.5GB comes...if that happens in your case, don't panic

Have fun with your 10.3.1 and folks who resisted the temptation to update leaks and are coming from 10.2.1, let us know how you like the 10.3

you're not really dowloading the movie file, you were downloading the page where the link is...if you download a movie, it will be play from the download page and will be in any folder where u save it

depends on the speed of the network.....i'm about a half hour in and only about 200MB downloaded on my office wifi

yea most people here know how to update OS...one of the first things you learn when u start using BlackBerry 10

Update size can be up to 1GB in size and typically requires a wifi because your mobile data will be wiped if you try to use it for that size of download

A work around is to create wifi from mobile hotspot on another phone

If you have a pc and Internet connection then you can use BlackBerry link to do the update

no, you're on a leaked OS...hopefully the latest official OS version should be released by this weekend. once you update, lets see if the problem still persist

battery calibration is a common problem with the Z10

I bought a fairly used Q10 and it's been awesome having it. But lately, I noticed some things 'bout this device. The first one is the notification led, it shows just red color which makes it difficult to differentiate between notifications from applications. The second one is the vibration. I just noticed that it doesn't vibrate. my vibration is on Buh I get no response. Please I really need help with these problems

BB notification is red in all cases....all other platforms copied that from BlackBerry...if you like different colors to come on for different notifications, there are apps that help do that...i know there are suggestions for multiple notification colors to be available natively but i have not been following development

if you're on the latest OS version, then you should have vibration...check your OS version

It's 1400 bucks...don't know yet if it works on BlackBerry 10...haven't tried it yet

camera timer is inbuilt on 10.3.X OS that's about to be released in a few days

budget 2hrs minimum...depending on how fast the cafe network is

if you go to a cafe with your laptop, download BB Link and install to your computer then use BB Link for the update

Cafe Wifi tend to be slow so, if you try to update the phone directly by connecting to the cafe Wifi, it will take a very long time

you could be the only one....a few questions

1...how long have you been using the phone?
2...do you have a screen protector installed?

Then check your internal storage...you should move all your music, pictures and videos to a microsd card to free space...q5 only has 8Gb internal storage and it fills up fast once you start installing apps

I use a BlackBerry Q5 but a lot of my contacts have been complaining via whatsapp that their msgs are not delivering to my phone but they can see mine.

This has been on for 4 days now and I've updated my BlackBerry messenger but the msgs won't drop. I've also used wifi, still the same ugly story. I've restarted the device countless times and still the same.

if Mr B's phone has wifi....why not? all he's got to do is switch on the wifi on his cellphone and search. Once his wifi gets your wifi, I suppose all you need is his passkey (if he uses one) and voila, you're connected! (Or did I misunderstand yo question? )

Having an incomplete update file also occupies memory and my best guess is it is grouped under system files, that's probably why he has such a large system file size.

Blackberry really should exclude the storage space system files will take when dishing out memory specs. It was okay to include them in the days of bbos since their sizes were not up to a gig but now that they are 3gig+, it's not cool at all.

Imagine buying a phone of 8gig internal memory only to discover system files take up to half of it.

It's kind of an industry standard and BlackBerry is not doing anything different from what you see on iOS and android...the space occupied by system files is part of thee internal storage

Like I said before, orphaned android files and botched installation files need to be removed. The fastest way is to do a wipe to restore the device to factory state and then there would be enough room to do the required OS update

there are probably orphaned files in the android folder that needs deleting
