Definitely there is always room for improvement but I'm not a fan of comparing 2 diff brands cos dey have diff coding.
But not withstanding if u run 8 heavy apps on an android with 1gb d fone would def hang

but there in lies the issue...you can't multitask on android...even the multitasking that is just coming in Lollipop is not as yet real time like BB10 and i doubt if you can find any android device running lollipop with less than 2GB of RAM talk less of 1GB

No absolutely not....the other platforms aka brands as you have called it don't have true multitasking capabilities like bb10....they freeze the other apps in the background as opposed to bb10 that keeps them running

you can have many apps frozen in the background on those other platforms because those apps are not using any system resources. In BlackBerry 10 each of the apps you have in the active frames are running and using systems resources

Pls don't spread wrong information....its not all bb10 devices that have a problem keeping 8 apps running in active frame. It's mainly limited to the Z3 because of the reduced RAM and possibly Q5 because it has only 8GB internal storage which fills up quite quickly

if you had refused to install the 10.2.1.3026 updates that was pushed in the past, the only way you can jump to the latest official without installing that update is to wipe your device and give the device a fresh start. then you will get the 10.3.1.1779 pushed to you

restart your device...delete the whatsapp then restart again...go into BlackBerry World and re-install whatsapp

i hope you do realize that the BB Assistant relies solely on your network to find information that's not on your device? so if you're going to measure speed you have to put it in perspective..the speed of your network slows down the app

if you want to test, do a search of a number that's saved in your contact app or open an app. if you try to find anything on the web, then do it when your network speed is fast. unfortunately, there's nothing close to fast internet speed in Nigeria

Verizon is a CDMA network but the most popular networks in Nigeria are GSM...if you buy a Verizon branded device to use with our GSM networks, it will still work technically if its a world phone but the experience will not be as stellar as it should be if the network you're using it with is a CDMA network like visafone

if you want to buy a branded device, i will advise you buy ATT or Tmobile

the problem is not the update itself...its the speed of the network you're using for the update

Guys, I am in fix at the moment. I mistakenly turned on my Screen Reader and now the doesn't respond well anymore. To cancel the screen reader, I restarted the phone and now my password is not responding. The screen reader is just busy reading out all my actions. I use a z10. Urgent help needed. Thanks.

If you can get your glo bis to provide mobile hotspot to the device, you'll be able to download the update

The way to do it is to pop the sim into another BlackBerry and set up mobile hotspot...then connect to the hotspot using your BlackBerry 10

don't worry about the technical details..all BB10 devices running at least OS10.2.1 can run androids apps...as you upgrade your OS, the performance of android apps get better because the engine that runs the aka android runtime, gets better and runs the apps better

the fact that the two music files are on your device does not mean they have the same metadata attached to them....the one with album art has more metadata info on it compared to the one without...

metadata in layman's terms are information added to a file for the purposes of identification, cataloging, searching, indexing etc...if you have noticed that sometimes you play a music, audio or video file that has a filename when you look at it in windows explorer but what's displayed by the player app is different...the player displays data from the metadata which could be different from the file name that you see
